Notes

  • All details regarding this alleged demotape should be taken as unconfirmed/possibly incorrect (details below). According to the jacket, it was sold by the session Bakebakezoku (化け化け族) at some live in Summer 1994 (exact date unknown), limited to only 12 copies.

Judging by details on the jacket, the session seemed to be a parody of sorts: despite including only 4 tracks, the sale price was 10,000 yen (a standard price for 4 tracks at this time would be closer to 1,000 yen). This ties in with the title Bakushi (爆死), which can mean “bombing” in the violent sense, but also in the sense of “bombing in sales/flopping.” Additionally, the unknown vocalist is credited as CHINKO (チンコ) {penis}, and the drum machine used is credited as a member.

Guitarist Haruhi (春陽) is credited as Haruo (春雄) and bassist KISAKI is credited as Kisaki (奇咲).

  • All information listed here comes from a demotape that appeared at auction around 2010, and was resold by the winner in a separate auction around 2020. The copy sold via these two auctions appears to be a bootleg made by the original auction seller, but it's unclear if the seller had copied a legitimate demotape or completely fabricated the details.

The jacket appears to be a printed photocopy, complete with damage lines from where the original was folded—this implies that there was some original demotape from which the jacket was copied, rather than being entirely created in an editing program.

The first recorded track on this fake copy is the same song that was labeled as Horobi no Joshou (滅びの序章) on a faked demotape of the same name which was attributed to KISAKI's Levia and sold at auction around 2010. (To make things more confusing, that faked demotape used the cover from a legitimate demotape called Horobi no Joshou (滅びの序章) by the non-KISAKI-related Levia, and paired it with a song from a different band.)

The origin of the song that appears in both this fake Bakebakezoku (化け化け族) demotape and the fake Levia demotape is unknown. The other two songs are also of unknown origin. The vocalist in the 2nd and 3rd songs is the same, and they sound as if they're from the same source; the vocalist in the 1st song sounds similar to the one in songs 2 and 3, but not so similar that it's definitively from the same source.

It's theoretically possible that some real Bakebakezoku (化け化け族) demotape exists and that this demotape is only fake in the sense that it was photocopied/dubbed from the original. If that's the case, then it would mean that the fake Levia demotape Horobi no Joshou (滅びの序章) used a Bakebakezoku (化け化け族) song for some reason. Alternatively, both this and the Levia demotape may have drawn from the same original unknown source. Details are completely unclear.
