MARCO (マルコ) will be pausing activities this fall.
Bassist Shunsuke (俊亮) will secede after their last live on September 11th at Ikebukuro CHOP, as he has reached his mental limit and does not want to cause further trouble for the band. He further adds that he had been drinking and doing other activities as an escape, presumably from the stress of band life.

Thank you very much for your continued support of MARCO.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who have given us their warm support.
We regret to inform you that Ba. Shunsuke will be leaving the group after his solo performance at Ikebukuro Chop on September 11, 2022.
In accordance with this, Marco will be on hiatus.
We apologize for this sudden announcement.
We hope that you will give us your warm support as we will continue to be the same until that day arrives.

As announced, I will be leaving Marco after the one-man show on September 11.
I apologize for the sudden announcement.
The reason for this is that I am gradually approaching my mental limit in many things, and the number of times I escape to drinking and other activities has increased, causing trouble for the band.
Even though I knew this, there were times when I could not control myself, and I told the band members that I could not cause them any more trouble and that I would like to leave the band.
To all of you who have supported me, I am sorry that it has come to this.
There will be many live performances until September 11, and even though I am leaving the band, I will do the best I can now.
Please support me to the end.
Before then, MARCO will hold their last tour, "Tochu Gesha" (途中下車) from August 18th to September 8th, with the tour final, titled "re:eclosion", to be held on September 11th. Featured bands throughout the tour with include kimihasurudoku. (君は鋭く。), KALAVINKA (カラビンカ), GrimAqua, LIQUID, Zeke Deux, OZOMA SEEDS (オゾマシーズ), Samurai NEW WAVE (侍NEW WAVE), DIE EIGHT SPRAY (feat. Kranke-san from OZOMA SEEDS), and Rouningyou (蝋人形).

Although they haven't released anything since 2019's Shaka, MARCO has been steady in live performances and have even released a slew of demo songs through their Youtube channel last year. These songs have yet to see an official release.
