Session MASAMI & L・O・X forms.
The band name consists of the initials of the groups to which each member belongs: LIP CREAM's NAOKI (guitar), ORANGE's ACT (bass), and X's YOSHIKI (drums).
THE BLUE HEARTS new album, TRAIN-TRAIN, includes a song called "Boku no Migite" (僕の右手 My Right Hand), a homage to MASAMI.
Vo.MASAMI falls on stage and is hospitalized.
After MASAMI ends up in a coma, they record an album as L・O・X with different vocalists on each track. Among these singers are TOSHI from X, ISHIYA from DEATH SIDE, BUTAMAN from TETSU AREI (鉄アレイ), RANKO from THE CONTINENTAL KIDS, KO ITO (伊藤耕) from THE FOOLS, and even NAOKI sings a song. Bootleg footage confirms that BASTARD's Tokurow sang live with them, but not on the record.
On the album, YOSHIKI goes under an alias, Shiratori Rei (「白鳥麗(REI)」), instead of his real name. Many believe because this was shortly after X had signed with a major label, and he was under contract to not release any material with another label. His face is even blurred out on the band photo.
