Body (ボディ) forms.
The band is formed by ex-D'ERLANGER members after having played a live together. It is said that they were working from the beginning under major label Sony Music.
After having made it through auditions, bassist Motoki Okada (岡田 基樹) joins. Very shortly after, also after auditions, newcomer vocalist Nakagome Hirokazu (中込広和) joins.
The May edition of Rockin'f announces that Body will make their debut live at Shibuya Koukaidou (渋谷公会堂)—no other details about the band are given.
The band holds their first live at the SUBLIMINAL VISION event, along with bands such as DIE IN CRIES, ZI:KILL, and L'Arc~en~Ciel. They play only one song (I LOVE YOU) and leaves the stage.
For unknown reasons—though speculated by some to be due to meddling from Sony Music—vocalist Nakagome Hirokazu (中込広和) is replaced by Naoki Kimura (木村直樹).

Via the massive outdoor screen in Shinjuku (新宿), Shinjuku ALTA VISION (新宿アルタビジョン), the band's second live, BODY SHOW CASE GIG at Shibuya Koukaidou (渋谷公会堂), is announced.
More than 3,000 people allegedly gathered outside to see the announcement.
The band finishes recording what will be their major debut album.
Second live and two-part oneman, BODY SHOW CASE GIG, is held. The first part is a screening of “BODY HISTORY,” which includes images of D'ERLANGER and footage/interviews from the “making of” the band.
The second half is a proper live performance, and the first with their second vocalist. After the band leaves the stage, the MV for the song I LOVE YOU plays, and is then followed by text: “BODY DEBUT LIVE: STARK NAKED FLAME, May 14th, at Nippon Budokan (日本武道館).”
The band's third live, and major debut oneman is held at Nippon Budokan (日本武道館), one of the biggest concert venues in Japan.
The band members meet for the first time since their debut live, along with Sony Music executives. Allegedly due to disagreements between the members and the executives, a conclusion is reached: Body will disband after two years and only three lives.
A few releases are planned at this point to meet the contractual obligations of the record label.
