凛 -the end of corruption world- (LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-)) has made an important announcement: they're pausing activities indefinitely.
The band's upcoming December 1st&2nd oneman live to celebrate the release of The Psalms and Lamentations will be their last oneman ever, and the band will indefinitely pause with UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's closure in 2013. The members have released comments here, but I'm personally not able to translate them (they seem to be of the expectedly vague “this is the result of many discussions...” variety).
If you've been a longtime fan of LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-), you'll remember that they paused activities once before. However, that activity was much less formal―it was offhandedly mentioned by KISAKI one day, and lasted only a short time. This “indefinite activity pause” is much more serious: although the term has a slightly less grave meaning than “disbandment,” these things often turn out the same way―and with UNDER CODE closing, it's hard to imagine that LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-) will actually come back.

If this is Kisaki's last band I might as well give up on Visual Kei entirely, there isn't much left for me to like anymore since they were the only thing I could hold on to, somehow, together with Phantasmagoria but they're already disbanded. The saying it's a hiatus is probably just a thing to lighten up the situation, because we all know that there isn't much future for this band anymore, neither a lot of other UNDER CODE bands. It just seems as if it's all falling apart, bit by bit... Visual Kei is lost with the dissolve of UCP, really.

He always has some kind of evil back-up plan but I'm just sort of losing hope somewhere, especially since he's in such a bad health state right now. If he moves on too quickly it'll only be a matter of months again before it'll end up the same way.

I was happy because for once, KISAKI's band have lasted more than two years… well, 凛 won't last much more. I was a big fan of Phantasmagoria and I like 凛 very much too, even if it doesn't give me so many emotions.
With Versailles and 凛 pausing their activities at the end of the year, I will be richer in 2013! They are my two major bands in the visual-kei scene and most of my money goes in their releases… What will I find next year?…

My opinion is they started very well with 凛 song, and i thought oh yeah new wonderful songs by KISAKI and RIKU new band, but after it a little bit disappointed. Many "weak" or "not Phantasmagoria quality" songs came.
Imaginary Lover, Freedom, Sterilization, Call Back, Lost in the mist of time, a lot of songs from Independent Maze, Ambient Cosmo.
But i think after activity pause they could make better songs, i loved Deep Labyrinth, Insane flashback show, and Come out of your shell also.
Since i know Lins fansbase is much smaller than in Phantasmagoria era, i tried to search, what is the different in the two bands. After it i realized: 1. guitars, 2. arrangement, 3. live.
I cant say such things like oh my god KANATA and MIZUKI its amazing..
凛 songs arrangement is like "meh". Some parts should be cutted because unnecessary or boring. Some parts should be more hard. Really rare when i heard RIKU to scream and everything goes mad... just the usual putyourhandsup "wa, wa, wa" . etc.
they can't keep at live the studio quality neither.
For example: Silent To My Pain. I think its a good song. But at live..
RIKU just talk it very fast except the refrain, the guitarsolos are mistaked, and bad sounded. So every value are losing. Or i have the Come out of you shell live on DVD, the studio song i love, but the live is...
I understand if KISAKI and RIKU wanna finish this band. There is no hope to reach Phantasmagoria quality. But it is what they want. But i dont want them to finish the musical activites.

I had lost all interest in their music since the release of Independent MAZE, so I hope they move on to better projects. Especially, I hope MIZUKI returns to ミサルカ, although that's unlikely.
