Well, Kansai Seiatsu 2011~2012 is officially over, and it was incredible! For those of you who attended the live stream, I'm so glad I got to share that moment with you! For those of you who couldn't watch, I did my best to keep track of the setlists. So here are those, plus some mini reports. Enjoy! And let's hope that there will be more events like this in the future!

Cu[be]

They were excellent! Studio-recording quality performance—one of the best-performed acts that night. Seems they made some new fans tonight, and deservedly so.

Vior gloire

Brilliant! They played mostly unreleased songs, and I cannot express how good they were—Vior gloire needs to release them now! The band was elegant and dramatic but not over-the-top, and every member was spot-on. Highlights included an appearance from RENA's upright bass and shall's 90s-throwback-superstar body contortions. Not exaggerating when I say they're one of the best bands at UNDER CODE right now—it's a shame that the Japanese fans don't seem to care as much.

Their first performance since September, and first with a new lineup, SUZAKU (朱) were disappointingly rusty. Also disappointing was the fact that the stream cut out during the only new song. At any rate, the members seem content and I'm excited for the band's future.

A long-running session of Dali vocalist Ren and LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-) vocalist RIKU, Zaidan were tons of fun. They played their newest original song (which is untitled as far as I know), and then had a lengthy [and hilarious] MC in which Ren and RIKU took turns teasing each other in sing-song voices. Finally, the session did its staple tune, Urahara ROENTGEN, which was crazy (and fan-service heavy) as usual.

Lackluster performance, in my opinion, but the setlist was good. The first unreleased song was slower—I assume “I can't live without U”while the second was a typical mid-tempo REALies tune (maybe “plug [I]n”, which they've been playing a lot recently?). Overall, not the best, but not a waste of time.

/CindyKate/ didn't play anything new, but all of their songs are solid and super catchy. The band's performance was really fun, and they even called KANATA and MIZUKI (of LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-)) out on stage to help fish the audience during “FISH FIGHT.”

FUTURISM・BOYZ

Their performance was really energetic and the audience seemed to like them a lot. I wouldn't say there was anything exceptionally memorable about the performance, but it was strong overall. (Side note: I feel like they should be playing some new songs by now.)

NEGA

Exceptional! Their intro was really cool, and DELUGE got everyone energized (even myself, when I was dying from weariness). They played an updated arrangement of muddy cult, and then a chilling rendition of Shinkaigyo. NEGA ended the set with their monster song DIS., which was incredibly hectic, as usual. Side note: JIN came out shirtless, the left side of his body covered in black paint and his face covered in white. During the set, he smeared the paint all over himself, which somehow made the songs even more powerful!

One thing about Dali: they've played the same setlist since 2009, but what they lack in variety they make up for in stage antics. This will be easier if I do bullets: ① band wears their old costumes; ② Ren enters carrying a pillow; ③ he wears a granny necklace, undoubtedly from Kohl's; ④ Ren stands in the audience; ⑤ he plays tambourine; ⑥ he kisses KEETO; ⑦ Minnie Mouse sits on the drum set; ⑧ Ren rips tissues from a tissue box; ⑨ he stuffs some down his pants; ⑩ he sucks his finger, then fingers an imaginary vagina (or ...) in the air; ⑪ he takes the banana that was being held on the mic stand (...) and gives it to an audience member; ⑫ Ren starts a pillow fight with the audience, throwing it at them and them throwing it back; ⑬ he enters the audience again, beats someone with the pillow, harasses foreigners; ⑭ Ren drinks juice on stage for a while (maybe spits it out?); ⑮ he reads selections from a hentai manga; ⑯ he goes back into the crowd; ⑰ where he's knocked over by a pillow throw; ⑱ Ren steals an audience member's jacket and wears it for a while. What a set!

They surprised everyone by coming out in new costumes! The costumes looked really great (as you've now seen); sort of a mix between Syndrome and Phantasmagoria. With the new costumes, we figured that the important announcement couldn't be bad—and indeed, the announcement was just about a DVD and oneman live. Anyway, they didn't play any new songs, but the set was good as usual. The large session countdown was really fun, although I didn't recognize the song.

Megaromania

I can't lie: it was 10 am and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack from all the caffeine I'd ingested, so I had to go to bed after LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-) ;(. So no clue how Megaromania were, but I can say that they debuted new, all white costumes (2.5 out of 5 members look good in my opinion, but I'll leave that to you to DECIDE~). Apparently KISAKI joined them for Distinctive territory, which sounds like it was awesome!

IDOL (アイドル) and NEGA ENTERPRISES

1. No clue!

Again, I was asleep for these guys, but I wasn't able to find a set list for them. IDOL (アイドル) played jpop songs I think, and NEGA ENTERPRISES of course played their “original” songs, but I'm not sure beyond that.

In all, the live stream was great. There were some problems with the stream initially: there was a watermark over Cu[be] while they were performing; the audio during first bit of Vior gloire's set was super distorted; sound cut out entirely during SUZAKU (朱)'s new song; and there were intermittent problems with choppy video. But EnTicket fixed each problem as quickly as they could, and 95% of the stream went perfectly.

It was a super fun event, and although I couldn't make it through the final acts (I'd already been up 30 hours!), I had a blast. I'm so thankful to EnTicket and UNDER CODE for streaming the live, and even more thankful to you guys who campaigned and bought tickets to help make it happen. This was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity—streams like this are seldom, but live events with all UNDER CODE bands are even more so—and I'm so happy that I got to spend it with you.
