This month, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN (平成維新)) announced their first post-UNDER CODE activities: a series of oneman lives through December called BREAK MY LIFE-SIZE!. However, I never posted about them here because I was waiting until the band announced something more concrete about its future (which label it would be with, what genre it would be switching to, etc.). Well, they finally announced their plans:
After their appearance at UNDER CODE's new year countdown event, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN (平成維新)) will disband.
Their reasoning is that, after graduating UCP, the members couldn't come to an agreement about what to do next. So, with Regret, they've decided to just disband. They thank everyone for supporting them for so long, of course.
-- Honestly, I don't get it. What's the point? Shouldn't you have figured this out before leaving the label? Not cute guys. What do you think?

I don't really know what to say, they've disappointed me so hard I feel like squishing their heads D: After reading a few comments, I guess the people who think it's because of the disagreement about the visual thing, may be right.
But I want Yoshi back. Preferably with Yukkie, too. -.-

It just seems so pointless to me; surely they should have figured out their future before thinking of graduating. I agree with a couple of the possible reasons above though - the whole changing from VK seemed very much a cop out to me, and it is entirely possible that their faffing around over what to do turned off whichever label was going to take them on. They're not a band I particularly like but I still think it's a pity.

Agreed. Going non-VK failed horribly for La'Mule, and any sort of sudden transition tends to backfire for any band, which is why most bands do a very gradual transition to non-VK while still keeping their image polished enough to not be like every other boring average garage band type.

There's also a real stigma against the VK scene. Maybe they didn't think they would be able to create a real fan-base outside of VK? I wouldn't be surprised if there were people holding their ex-ness against them.

Yeah, I just thought of that too. That had to have played a big role. Not just the change in marketing and so on, but as a non-visual band, they'd even be playing completely different live houses with completely new associates, which must be super scary. Very good point.

I have a feeling one of the members disagreed on the whole "non-visual" thing. Switching to a new scene can be rough, I imagine, so I wouldn't blame them if one of the members didn't want to do it.

Its one of the most pathetic excuse i've heard/read this year. they should have planned what to do! i hope Taku'll be back too (love his voice). i wonder what Kisai thinks about this.
