UNDER CODE PRODUCTION session band Shingen Kichi SPECIAL ~PERMANENT BAND~ (神言基地SPECIAL ~パーマネントバンド~) successfully completed its live at Abeno ROCKTOWN. They played several staples of Kisaki & Kansai Kizoku setlists:
V. Rame [ex-VIDOLL] / B. KISAKI [LIN] / G. MIZALY [LIN] / G. SAN [ex-NEGA] / D. TERO [ex-VIDOLL]
Unfortunately, it seems that, after the live, Rame left in an ambulance D:! But he says it was only due to expending too much energy during the live―he's fine now.
On a related note, it seems that KISAKI, Jui [VIDOLL/GOTCHAROCKA], JUN [Phantasmagoria/GOTCHAROCKA], and Rame [VIDOLL/Black Gene For the Next Scene] did a photography/interview session with each other yesterday?! I guess it's for some upcoming magazine, probably... hopefully something really good!
A special session band made of ex-UNDER CODE PRODUCTION members will perform on 2015-11-17!
Session band Shingen Kichi SPECIAL ~PERMANENT BAND GUEST~ (神言基地SPECIAL ~パーマネントバンドゲスト~) will appear at the CYBER CIRCUS TV featuring 【~Chikasen Shingen Kichi~ 2015】 (CYBER CIRCUS TV featuring 【~地下線神言基地~ 2015】) event at Abeno (あべの) ROCKTOWN.
Shingen Kichi SPECIAL ~PERMANENT BAND GUEST~ B. KISAKI [ex-Phantasmagoria ~ LIN] V. Rame [ex-VIDOLL ~ Black Gene For the Next Scene] G. MIZALY [ex-Megaromania ~ LIN] G. SAN [ex-NEGA ~ Black Gene For the Next Scene] D. TERO (テロ) [ex-VIDOLL ~ †яi￠к]
By the way, the “Chikasen Shingen Kichi” title is a reference to a 2006~2007 television program of the same name which KISAKI hosted in collaboration with HOLIDAY. It appears that the session will perform Kamiuta (神 歌), the representative song of Phantasmagoria which often ended UNDER CODE PRODUCTION events.
The full lineup of masked idol group Kamen Joshi (仮面女子) will appear as a second special guest. The bands XENON, Paranoid≠Circus, and Mischievous will also appear (adding to the UCP reunion!).
Anime-theme-song cover band SPATS (スパッツ) has announced its second live. The “legendary” session band―comprised of V. Jin [HERO] / G. JUN [ex-Phantasmagoria~GOTCHAROCKA] / G. Toki [Black Gene For the Next Scene] / B. HIIRO [ex-NEU] / D. TERO [ex-VIDOLL]―will hold its first oneman on 2015-05-12 at Takadanobaba AREA; due to that oneman selling out in minutes, a second oneman has been announced for 2015-10-14 at TSUTAYA O-WEST. If the second oneman doesn't sell at least 550 tickets, the group will disband.
SPATS will release its first CD, Mori no Kumasan (Kari) (もりのくまさん(仮)), at the 2015-05-12 live. The CD will contain two songs for 1,500 yen. Here's their cover of the song Yuuki 100% (勇気100%):
UNDER CODE's last flyer (for the upcoming Treasure Book) mentions that, starting on June 1st, the official web shop will begin a special fair. Although details of that special fair have not yet been announced, the web shop has already put up some very special items!
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced that, in collaboration with SHOXX, it will release its 10th anniversary memorial last omnibus, High Style Paradox 2003~2013. The mail-order-limited omnibus will be released in March, and will feature all significant bands (32 in total) signed to UNDER CODE PRODUCTION throughout its 10 years of activity.
Those who purchase the omnibus before February 28th will receive a special 24 month calendar.
Because the omnibus is mail-order-limited through SHOXX, it will not be available to overseas customers via usual means. However, I organize a group order as soon as I find a viable shopping service—expect a separate with details.
In 2007, UNDER CODE PRODUCTION sponsored a “Tribute to Phantasmagoria” tour at which all bands payed homage to Phantasmagoria. It has since become tradition for the label to host an annual “Tribute to Phantasmagoria” memorial live on the band's disbandment anniversary. And this tradition continues in 2012!
Just a few days ago, I posted news that the Phantasmagoria complete best album, Wailing Wall 2004-2010, was on sale at CDJapan. And it sold out that day! But have no fear, CDJapan has just added some more copies! There are 18 left, so order while you can!
Phantasmagoria's complete best album, Wailing Wall 2004~2010, is now available at CDJapan! Furthermore, it also includes the UNDER CODE OFFICIAL WEB SHOP limited privilege DVD (which contains over 2 hours of live footage).
This means you don't have to waste money on a shopping service to buy it, and you can use your CDJapan points to reduce the price!
By the way, I've started wrapping CDJapan links in an affiliate ID. If any of you are kind enough to use my affiliate link, any money I earn will go straight to buying goods/prizes for community contests and such. (All of that comes out of my own pocket, and it gets expensive!)
Yesterday made a post detailing the release of a Phantasmagoria “ALL SONGS COMPLETE WORLD BEST ALBUM” called Wailing Wall 2004~2010. The news had come from a blog post by KISAKI, but the post was quickly deleted, so I doubted whether or not the album would be released.
However, it's since been officially announced by UNDER CODE. So, despite my initial suspicions, it is being released.
(File this one under UNDER CODE MYSTERIES: the official description of the album says that it was previously released in certain regions of Europe in October of 2010. I'm pretty sure that never happened. I'm always willing to admit when I'm wrong though, so if you have any details/proof of a 2010 release, please let me know!)
Edit: by the way, if anyone wants to buy this from the official web shop, I'll be doing a group order in October. The order is mainly for KISAKI PROJECT's single, but since this album will be released around the same time, we can do that too~
dont wait for nothing new, its only a collection album..

KISAKI just announced that Phantasmagoria tribute live will be held this year! This one, like last year's, will be held in conjunction with VISUNAVI, as part of their SUMMER MASQUERADE live series. As with previous tribute lives, the participating bands will play Phantasmagoria songs, and a everyone will get together at the end to play 神 歌 (Kamiuta).
An additional appearing band will be announced on 2011-08-01.
Phantasmagoria was a perfect band, I'm so glad that they're still doing these tribute nights. I sincerely hope that they continue to do them for years to come. They must be so fun!
Sharing a Phantasmagoria photoset from 2008 plus a special 2010 photo. The scans aren't the best, but the photos are still pretty funny X3 Please don't repost/claim as yours. Feel free to use for any kind of graphics!
As part of a nostalgia campaign of sorts, the official web shop has recently added around 200 classic photosets from 12012, Phantasmagoria, and VIDOLL! These include sets from the very beginning of their careers to the very end (VIDOLL's are more recent, however). Each set is 1,575 yen, and you'll need to use a shopping service to purchase. Here are links to each band's sets; remember to click the “次のページ” buttons to see more!
I was going through an old LJ of mine from 2005, and I found this gem of an entry. It was my thoughts of the then-new band Phantasmagoria! It was pretty funny to me just to think of how things have changed since then, so I thought maybe you guys would enjoy it too.
Dad still hasn't been able to take my money to the post office, but someone let me download Phantasmagoria's single off them. I think I like it X3~ It's actually just two real songs; the first track is the length of a normal song, but it's actually just one of those intro track things ._. I haven't actually listened to the entire thing yet, I'm still on track 2. Actually, I think the vocalist sounds a lot better on this track than on the SHOXX sample thing. He even gets into those Kyoka/Aliene Ma'riage vocal ranges, which is a really great :3 (to me at least). I don't know if it's because my super-turbo-fan is on at full blast and I just can't hear right, or if it's that he's actually got talent, but it seems the vocalist has improved. So yay for that.
Anyways, I've got to go upload this at Ecchi since it's already been requested twice in the past day o___O!!
PS - It's cute when he sings "PISSY FAAAAAAAUUSSSSS!" ("pixy false")
Do you remember your first thoughts about Phantasmagoria, or any other UCP bands?
Took me one whole day because of one single stupid kanji, which is in the end a really simplex word D: Well, anyway, there might be some mistakes so if you see any, feel free to correct me! Also feel free to translate if you like :3

Do you guys remember when Phantasmagoria's Diamond Dust in Truth last live was aired on USENET? Does "MAGO MANGO TANGO" say anything to you? Do you have good memories from that event?
I watched the Diamond Dust in Truth DVD today and all of a sudden had this crushing nostalgic feeling... I'd like everyone who was there and remembers to say something. A short comment is nice too, I just want all of us to remember that amazing day together, because I had so much fun.
This community has some amazing people, but there aren't many opportunities to talk with everyone. I'd be very happy to experience something similar again someday, but memories are just fine for now. So if you feel like talking, please comment with your feelings and memories.
Good news if you were thinking about buying Phantasmagoria costumes: only two individual costumes have been sold out, lol.
So yes, there's still time to buy costumes from the first three sets. In addition, they've added three new sets, so you can now purchase costumes from those as well. You can check out all the sets here.
As last time, you'll have to email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, postal code, address, phone number, desired costume number, and a bid. Bids must be at least 5,000 yen (and they stress that the minimum bid is fine) and must be in increments of 1,000 yen.
For everyone that missed it I tried to type it up as the interview went. However this is not exact, or word for word. So I apologize for any mix ups.
And at times because I was typing, I missed who was speaking...But this is at least something until someone (hopefully) uploads the interview =3
It's really cute, I enjoyed it.
Again sorry for mistakes, but I just wanted to at least type something up for everyone. Enjoy~!
Exclusive Interview with Phantasmagoria on Tainted Reality on June 24, 2010. Broken into two parts during the radio cast thing.
Interview done, while tainted reality was on Hiatus. It was prerecorded so there is a lot of past information in here.
Phantasmagoria Interview, originally only supposed to be conducted with Kisaki...then Riku walked in...The the rest of the band. What a nice surprise, huh?
Thanks to matt and kendra (Matt asked the questions in English, Kendra translated).
Bass- Kisaki Guitar- jun Guitar- Iori Vocal- Riku Drum- Matoi
--How was the Live tonight?--
Kisaki: very good, the audience was very warm to us, so it was very good It was really on fire, now I'm tired out
--- (couldn't hear)
in 2010, we restarted phantasmagoria. On march 10 a new single called diamond dust and then more lives.
--Did you have any new years resolutions?--
Riku: Because I am a vocalist it is to make my vocal range better. So I'm practicing a lot
jun: I wants to become better and more talented
iori: a resolution? I just want to do my best
matoi: I want to do something different rather than just a musician
kisaki: I want to travel around the world, musically I am thinking about making a new band. Also I want everyone from over seas to call for me
--You mentioned about having a new band, can you give us an details?--
Kisaki: as for the new band, nothing is decided. It will be similar to phantasmagoria, Phantasmagoria has so far been my favorite music style ...but I want to expand my musical direction
--Will the band be self produced -
Kisaki: everything will be done by myself
--Recently there was the new years live with undercode bands as well as others, can you tell us what went down--
jun: it had been a while since I had preformed with phantasmagoria, it was very fun
jun: I am doing a band with iori, spiv states iori: eh? ---
riku: at the end of February, chariots will be ending, but after chariots I will move onto something else. until then I will practice my vocal range
matoi: On April first, phantasmagoria will have a one man so I am practicing for that
ki: for phantasmagoria limited renewal, I am busy with that and this summer I am busy with the new band and busy with other undercode activities
--Just what are all your duties with undercode--
ki: as producer I work with bands when they record, costume designs, schedules. they are all like a family so I help do everything
--Kisaki you helped bands em grief and megaromania, can you tell us what all you did?--
ki: I did give advice musically, but I also helped with arrangements, and bass parts
--Can you tell us what the deal with Kisaki slaves--
ki: it's just a joke, it's us playing around, and I got people from a lot of places to do it. it's just playing around, riku is in it too. But it's just a joke
Kisaki: yes I'd like to do something with Versailles again, I am very good friends with Kamijo, so I'd really like to
--What bands aside from Undercode should we look out for -
Ki: spiv...spiv.... I recommend d'espairsray, vidoll, 12012 . And a band called Satan
--They actually preformed tonight, did you seem their performance--
ki: I didn't see it
--You've gotten the nick name god, how do you feel about it--
ki: at first I was embarrassed, then I felt like it was fitting,-- Tonight Satan played then Phantasmagoria played so it was very fitting. going from devil to god, I think
Part two-- (they were laughing a lot here. It was hard to keep up and separate their voices at times)
--what does it take to be a god--
Ki: it happens naturally, even if you want to become one..it has to be natural. I want to become American god then world god. And only I can become god
--(What do you do in a daily life?)--
Ki: I go to work then sleep
ri: I listen to a lot music in order to get better
iori: I plays guitar and clean my room then gets very sad (they all explode and they re translate)...I am a musician and everyday I want to do something to improve, and I don't get sad . everyday I aim to get better
ki: everyday I am focused on undercode and music activity's. everything is tied to these activities, hanging out etc
--who is an inspiration-- ( i hope I got these correct)
matoi- malice mizer
ki: rape..(they talked for a while then he added to that)....I have a problem with alcohol and playing with women
Matoi (maybe): I have a bad attitude, and quick to get angry. I just...have an angry demeanor
(this part was also confusing XD) Jun: Translator: his nose is growing? he doesn't have any nose hair?
jun: even if I shaves it just comes back
--Phantasmagoria breaking the seal was a big surprise, any other surprises we should look forward to--
ki: there should be a more surprises, like the new band announcement, but it will be secret until then
--how were you contacted for fools mate and a venue (meguro?)30th anniversary--
ki: as a band label I've been really close with the magazine foolsmate and (meguro?) as a live house. We were also invited
--because of this do you want to bring the band back together or continue on your own?--
ki: no..but...I can't say we won't absolutely bring them back. But I really want to do a phantasmagoria live over seas
--where at this time?...Anime convention again--
Translator: not Europe but in America
jun: new york
matoi: there is an art college, it's name is...
Translator: he only knows it's name in Japanese
--any American bands you want to open for you--
Matoi (I think): limp bizkit
Jun: my chemical romance
ki: not really anyone...anybody would be fine
--you haven't been to America since 2005 anything you miss?--
ki: not anything really...The live was fun everyone was so excited it was great. We went to Houston and I want to see more. We also experienced the American rock spirit, we would like that again
--how do you all feel about the phantasmagoria revival--
jun: It's fun, nothing has changed, but it feels good. I like fun lives and being embraced by fans
ri: before I had been doing a different band. But my body remembers songs with phantasmagoria. My body is drawn to it and naturally remembers
matoi: phantasmagoria is a kind of band where ever you go, they are still the same its mysterious and interesting
io: I am happy fans were able to come and see it. It was really warm and So i am happy
ki: phantasmagoria up until now is my favorite band I've put together and that I am a member of. I'm glad members can come together, it's pure happiness
--Is that the reason why you came out of retirement --
ki: as for coming not only myself but many people...many invited him, that fan's mail and the will to do more music. because of that I came back. also because I love phantasmagoria
Ok, I've been putting this off 'cause I'm lazy, but the official web shop added several cool items this month.
① First is a 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) logo mirror. Nothing very special about it, but I guess some girls like that sort of thing~
② In the Phantasmagoria department, you can now purchase that pamphlet + CD set that I mentioned before (and they were kind enough to reveal the tracklist). But more importantly~ Remember that DVD they distributed that was limited to 30 copies? Well now you can buy that :) Someone want to buy it and share?
③ And finally, remember those bootleg live DVDs that were for sale a while back? Well now you can buy ones from chariots' last tour as well as chariots' first live as RIKU's solo project (which features members of Cu[be], ゾディア (ZODIA), etc.).
As always, you can find the official web shop here, but you'll have to use a shopping service since they don't ship overseas.

As the ultimate sign that Phantasmagoria's six years of activity are truly over, all of the costumes that the members have worn over the years are being sold, with the sanction of ID JAPAN. The costumes will be sold in waves, with the first three costume types being sold from 2010-05-18 through 2010-05-31.
The sales will be auction style, with each costume going to the highest bidder. To bid, an email must be sent to email@example.com with the product number of the desired costume and the maximum bid. (The minimum bid for any costume is 5,000 yen, with higher bids accepted in increments of 1,000 yen.) These are the real costumes worn by the members during photoshoots and lives, so some minor wear is expected (and, of course, these can't be returned).
This is basically the nuclear warhead of KISAKI hater ammo, so I'm not even going to try to defend it. But in all honesty, it would be pretty cool to own a real piece of history like this—it's museum level stuff! What do you guys think? Are any of you going to bid? Do you think these will even sell at all?
Brand X has just listed some interesting Phantasmagoria items for sale. First, Phantasmagoria's previously-live-limited memorial CD, actuality, will be sold in stores beginning 2010-06-16. It had already been available through UNDER CODE's official web shop, but this will be the first time it's directly available to overseas customers. These are just leftover printings, rather than 2nd presses, so you can see the details of the originals here.
Second, Brand X is offering a special set called Phantasmagoria, also on sale beginning 2010-06-16. This set includes a reprinting of the Phantasmagoria history pamphlet that SHOXX released in 2008, but this time with the addition of a live CD. The live CD will include three (unannounced) live recordings that have never been heard before. (These are not new songs but previously unreleased live recordings.)
Phantasmagoria - Phantasmagoria 2010-06-16; 3,150 yen; Pamphlet + live CD set; OSPH-001 CD 01. (Unannounced live recording) CD 02. (Unannounced live recording) CD 03. (Unannounced live recording) + SHOXX photograph and history pamphlet
Details of the DVD release of Phantasmagoria's last live have been announced. The DVD will be released through Free-Will instead of UNDER CODE, so it should be a little nicer than usual. It will include around 90 minutes of live footage and a 16 page booklet with previously unseen live photography from the show.
Phantasmagoria - Diamond Dust in Truth 2010-06-23; 6,300 yen; Memorial live DVD; FWB-013 Published and distributed by Free-Will 01. NEO ARK 02. Unknow zero distance 03. Material pain 04. Glitter 05. ① KISAKI and UNDER CODE PRODUCTION are sponsoring the live area side of this year's STRAIGHT LIFE event on 2010-06-06. The event is basically a massive tattoo convention featuring over forty tattoo shops, pole dancers, an S&M show, a DJ, and live bands. As I said, KISAKI is producing the live side, and he's chosen 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) and BALZAC to headline. Additionally, VAGERKE, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN), 宇宙戦隊NOIZ (Uchuu Sentai NOIZ), The ROMEO, In The Enz, and WHITEBLACK will also appear.
② 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) will also be appearing at Kaya's ソドムの晩餐 第一夜 (SODOM no Bansan Daiichi Yoru) event on 2010-07-03 at O-EAST. The cool thing about this event is that La'Mule will also be holding a one-night revival! (Which is totally relevant since La'Mule was signed to Soleil, which was the precursor of Matina.)
③ VISUNAVI will be kicking off a new event series, SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010, in Kansai. And, well, you can't say Kansai without saying UNDER CODE PRODUCTION, so the live will fittingly be UCP supported. The specific show is called SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010 ~Phantasmagoria MEMORIAL TRIBUTE NIGHT~ and will take place at 梅田 (Umeda) SHANGRILA on 2010-08-31 (as if any other date was possible!). 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) will be performing and カレン (KALEN) will hold a one-night revival. The rest of the lineup hasn't been revealed yet.
④ Eternal and CLIMAX ENTERPRISE are having a one-day revival and co-sponsoring a crazy event. (How is this relevant? Eternal was a sub-label of Matina and CLIMAX ENTERPRISE was the next version of Eternal.) The event is called ETERNALISM†CLIMAXISM and will take place on 2010-08-08 at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock Maykan). 弥生 (Yayoi; president of Eternal), E'm ~grief~, and ex-members of Syndrome, Earl Grey, and Kilah will appear, along with many, many others (I've only mentioned the ones relevant to UCP/Matina). Additionally, guests are allowed to exit and re-enter one time (which is rare), a secret guest will appear, a spur-of-the-moment guest will appear, and a large session featuring everyone will be held at the end of the show. Pretty freaking awesome!
⑤ Edit: Forgot this one, which was the whole reason I made this post! Anyway, Shinobu (vocalist of the perpetually inactive band Zephyr) is getting married! And since he and KISAKI are such good friends (Zephyr was once a Matina band and their comeback mini-album was to be released through UCP), he's holding a special live event to celebrate. The event is called Shinobu HAPPY WEDDING LIVE PARTY ~みんなに幸せおすそ分け・リターンズ~ (~Minna ni Shiawase Osusowake ・ RETURNS~) and will be held on 2010-05-02 at ESAKA MUSE. This basically means a bunch of Matina bands are holding one-day revivals (I love this trend!): Lavender, Zephyr, MIRAGE, DAS:VASSER, Eze:quL, ZXS, vellaDonna, Lagna, DERAIL, オルゴール (ORGEL), Distray, and a large session of random members called Shinobu&Friends. Obviously, not all of these bands will have complete lineups (ex. RUIZA definitely isn't showing up for Distray), but it's still super awesome. I wish UNDER CODE would film and release these Matina lives!
① The official web shop is now selling live photosets from Phantasmagoria's last live.
② Someone here said this already, but I can't remember if it was in a post: the official web shop is also selling Phantasmagoria lucky bags. Seems to be nothing particularly special about them this time, just 20,000 yen's worth of goods for 3,150.
③ Want to see the first real group photo of 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin)? Like an Edison posted one here.
④ 凛 (Rin) guitarist MIZUKI's birthday and blood type were revealed on the OHP, so it's now confirmed that he's ex-ミサルカ (MISARUKA). (It wasn't actually 100% confirmed prior to that.)
⑤ The flash header at the UNDER CODE OHP was just updated, and chariots is still there. So it's definitely deliberate that chariots is being left on the site. Curious.
I was stalking ameba blogs again and on erize's (kelli) blog I came across this:
SUPPORTED by UNDER CODE PRODUCTION 「SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010」 ～Phantasmagoria MEMORIAL TRIBUTE NIGHT～
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 31st in 梅田SHANGRILA.
The only bands participating I know about are 凛 (Lin) and カレン (KAREN/KALEN) who will have a one day revival that day.
The actual post can be found HERE. I've noticed a similar post on Nao's, Setsuki's and Takaya's blogs. Maybe there will really be just those two bands playing, who knows. If you find more info let us know!
((Please tell me how should I tag this! Thanks～))
((Not sure if anybody's noticed, but they've changed Megaromania's picture. It's their profile pics together, without Leda though))
To everyone who wanted to buy Phantasmagoria's memorial single actuality, both types are now for sale at the OFFICIAL WEB SHOP. The shop is also selling 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) polaroids and photosets.
So go buy them and share them here :D!
Any idea why chariots hasn't been taken off UNDER CODE's artist page? Weird.
It's been announced that a memorial DVD of Phantasmagoria's last live will be released, just as we all thought~ No details are available yet, but I'll post here when they're revealed (it should be soon).
This is the entire live, including the pre-show stream (which just showed girls going on; I only uploaded it for history's sake), the two hours show itself, and then the brief stream which showed after the live (just the Rin image for a few minutes; again, included for history's sake).
I'm going to be honest: my recording is TERRIBLE. The sound seems to pop or hiss in places, and, for some reason, the whole thing plays just slightly fater than real life. So you'll have to use VLC to slow the video down just a tad; maybe watch it at 0.80× normal speed. This causes its own problem, as Riku will sometimes sound like a chipmunk and some of the guitar will sound washed out. And to top off the big pile of poop with a few poop sprinkles, this also makes the video a few seconds behind the audio. So yeah, barely watchable, but it's the best we've got...
It started like 20 minutes late (the stream started around 18:40 JST and the band started playing at around 19:20 JST), but it was well worth it. 幻想曲 -Eternal Silence- (Gensoukyoku -Eternal Silence-) had an alternate intro. During Pixy false, 戮 (Riku) did the shriek AND the fall. During MC 3, 戮 (Riku) revealed that he is the vocalist for 凛 (Rin), and 纏 (Matoi) and JUN wished KISAKI good luck with his new band. During 神歌 (Kamiuta), IORI stagedived, then KISAKI stagedived, then KISAKI stagedived again! During the second stagedive, JUN played KISAKI's bass.
After 神歌 (Kamiuta), the band lined up to do the countdown jump as the instrumental version of 走馬灯 ~PAST SKY~ (Soumatou ~PAST SKY~) played. 戮 (Riku) forgot his microphone the first time, so he ran out of the line to get it and KISAKI whacked him on the head. After that, everyone held hands and jumped with the band. As of 21:00 JST, Phantasmagoria is no more.
The live stream stopped soon after that and changed to a teaser image about 凛 (Rin). It showed their logo, along with a message: the band's full details will be revealed at 0:00 on 2010-04-06 (that's just a few hours away)! The details will be revealed through INDIVISUAL and VISUNAVI, so be sure to check them out!
The live was definitely a success. Over 500 people were watching at one time, and that's leaving out all the people who couldn't make it or had to leave in the middle. In total, there were well over 1,000 views. And guess what: there was a camera below the stage and another on an aerial crane, in addition to the one filming the stream, so this will have a DVD release of some form! Thanks for all you guys who watched with me :D It was lots of fun.
And thank you INDIVISUAL, Phantasmagoria, and KISAKI for allowing us to watch!
I did record the entire live. I'm uploading it now, and will post here when I'm done. However, my recording is really bad! So please post if you recorded it too! I think will be posting some clips to YouTube later.
In the meantime, please check out 's screencap post! There are a bunch of nice shots from throughout the live. The post is here if you missed it.
This is just a reminder: the real-time video stream of Phantasmagoria's last live will begin in about five hours. Please see this post if you need more information. Hopefully everything goes smoothly! (And of course I'll post here if anything important comes up.)
There's a chat box right beside the video, so hopefully I'll see a bunch of you guys there during the show (you'll need to create an account first!).
Phantasmagoria began a limited revival on December 31st of last year. Part of the limited revival included a 60 minute premium live to celebrate the release of their maxi-single Diamond Dust. According to an interview, the members originally contemplated embarking on a full revival after the live, but eventually decided against it. That, along with KISAKI's announcement to form a new band, means that Phantasmagoria's Diamond Dust in Truth ~新たな約束~ (Diamond Dust in Truth ~Aratana Yakusoku~) live on April 5th at 大阪 (Osaka) BIG CAT will be their last ever. This post is a recap of all the important information regarding that day.
① On April 4th, the night before the live, the band will hold a special instore event at Like an Edison. Only those who purchased Diamond Dust and Seeds of Brain from the Osaka branch of Like an Edison received a ticket to the event. Phantasmagoria will hold a talk session and sign copies of Diamond Dust (but nothing else).
② Everyone who enters the live hall will receive a bag with three glow in the dark bracelets. The bracelets come in blue, green, and pink, and everyone is asked to wear them to create atmosphere during the live. You can preview the bracelets here.
③ The band will hold their last-ever fan photography session immediately after the live. The first 300 attendees to purchase over 5,000 yen's worth of goods will be entered into a raffle. 100 attendees will randomly be selected from the raffle, and those people will get to take part in the fan photography session. The 200 people that lose the raffle will be given a small consolation prize.
④ Original goods exclusive to the event will be sold at the live. Also, a special gachagacha (capsule toy) machine will be set up before the live at 16:00 JST. The machine will contain many special Phantasmagoria items such as photo booth prints, tissues, stickers, and photographs.
⑤ The Osaka branch of closet child will be holding a special promotion on the day of the live. If you purchase five or more articles of clothing (brand names only; clothing, purses, shoes, etc.), you can receive a special signed polaroid of Phantasmagoria, taken just before the live. The shop will have a desk set up at the live hall from 16:00 to 20:00 JST. If you're actually interested, see this page for more information.
⑥ A two-type memorial CD, actuality, will be sold at the live. The A type will include a DVD with live footage from Phantasmagoria's March 19th live. The B type will include a bonus track. The CD will is live-limited, so attending the live will be the only way of purchasing it. More specific details can be found in this post.
⑦ The entire event will be streamed online in real-time. This is thanks to a partnership between Phantasmagoria and INDIVISUAL. The event will be streamed live, for free, through USTREAM, for fans all over the world to see. The live stream is scheduled to start on 2010-04-05 at 18:00 Japan standard time. Please see below for more details.
As I said, Phantasmagoria's last live will be streamed online in real-time thanks to a partnership with INDIVISUAL. The stream will be hosted at USTREAM.
Want to watch the Phantasmagoria last live stream online? Here's how:
Bookmark the official INDIVISUAL Facebook or twitter. The USTREAM channel may change on the day of, or they may get started late or have technical difficulties, etc. So be sure to check these official sources before the event is scheduled to start.
The event starts on 2010-04-05 at 18:00 Japan time. (That's 5 AM on the US east coast and 2 AM on the US west coast.) Use this site to convert to your time (be sure to input the correct date as well). Although the stream is supposed to start at 18:00 JST, the live itself is not scheduled to start until 19:00 JST. Be aware of this.
Want to record the Phantasmagoria last live stream*? Here's how:
This event will be streaming, and most downloaders won't work with it. Test out your downloader beforehand on a USTREAM live stream to see if it works.
I will be using Replay Media Catcher to record the live stream. I have already tested it and it does work for streams. Due to a bug, I've had to reinstall it every time I restart my computer, but it does work after that. Check that it's working before the event starts.
You can download a trial version here. The trial version only saves 75% of the recording. The full version of the program is $39.95 USD, but, well, if you want to download a cracked version from a torrent site, I certainly can't stop you...
Please encourage your friends to record the live as well. As of right now, I'm the only one that plans to record it, and I may not wake up in time, my computer my break down or freeze, my internet connection may go out, etc. These things often happen to me at crucial moments. So! I encourage you to try to record the event, and I hope you'll ask your friends to do the same. The more “backups” we have, the more chances there are for someone to actually get the full thing. If none of us record it, this moment will most likely be lost forever!
Do you need help using the program, or with something else? You are more than welcome to contact me for help. You can leave a comment here, send me a private message over LiveJournal, or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
* USTREAM events are sometimes made available for streaming afterward, but I don't expect it in this case. Let's record it just in case.
* INDIVISUAL may say that it's not allowed to record the event. Hopefully they don't, but if they do... Well~
That should cover everything, I think. Feel free to ask questions. And I hope all of you are able to watch this awesome event! Only about one more day until it takes place, and Phantasmagoria disbands for the last time!
・・・Mass Update Trilogy・・・ —Blood-red Final Chapter—
① 凛 (Rin) updates!
Yesterday, KISAKI posted a sneak peek of his outfit. Today, he changed the picture, so it now gives a glimpse of another member! Anyone happen to recognize that hand?
KISAKI posted a full-shot solo picture here. Looks good!
On 2010-04-13 and 2010-04-20, KISAKI will appear on television program LIVE Cheese. He'll give a comment and play a PV (not sure what the PV is for!).
The band members apparently did an interview. And in the 2010-04-21 issue of Cure, KISAKI will have a large feature as a member of 凛 (Rin). I don't think the other members will appear though ;(
② TAKESHI of VAGERKE was in the recording studio with KISAKI to do the chorus for a song. I'm pretty sure it was for 凛 (Rin), but it could possibly be Phantasmagoria. Hopefully this doesn't mean 凛 (Rin) is going in a super hardcore chariots-esque direction!
③ As part of the UNDER CODE 7th anniversary, more special photosets are on sale at the OFFICIAL WEB SHOP.
Two are of Phantasmagoria's 2010 look.
The other is a set with pictures of session bands that played at UNDER CODE's 2010-03-14 event. The session bands include (Chikasen Ganmen Hensachi TOP 5!?), and バースデー祝い隊 (BIRTHDAY Iwaitai).
④ The privilege for buying both types of 平成維新's (HEISEI ISHIN's) Prism. single from the OFFICIAL WEB SHOP is a signed cheki of the member of your choice. (May have posted that before, but it can't hurt to do it again.)
⑤ By the way, this is the ugly mirror that you could receive by purchasing Phantasmagoria's Diamond Dust and Seeds of Brain through the OFFICIAL WEB SHOP. It was designed by IORI. Good job bro.
⑥ Pretty sure no one reads all of these. New band: 「THE CAPITALS」 feat.KISAKI, MIYAVI, and LADY GAGA.
⑦ Old news, but relevant news: Cure Vol.81 will include a free omnibus CD called Cure NEW AGE COLLECTIONS, which features シンディケイト (CINDYKATE), ex-chariots band Cu[be], ロットマン (LOTMAN) -related band LOKI, and many others. And the whole thing was produced by KISAKI and UNDER CODE PRODUCTION! Apparently, a second CD will be included with Vol.82 and will feature different artists, but those haven't been announced yet.
⑧ Really old news! You know those unspecified presents UNDER CODE bands like to distribute? Here's what a few of them turned out to be.
The Synside present on 2010-02-27 was a comment CD.
The Megaromania present on 2010-02-28 was a comment CD(?). The Megaromania present on 2009-11-13 was Amethyst DJ MIX.
The シンディケイト (CINDYKATE) present on 2010-03-13 and 2010-03-14 was シンディケイトCM音源 (CINDYKATE CM Ongen), a sampler CD.
The 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) present on 2009-11-28 was a postcard and a special CD with unknown contents. The 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) present on 2009-12-25 was the same postcard and Merry Christmas SPECIAL CD with a comment and サンタが街にやってくる (SANTA ga Machi ni Yattekuru). 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) also released two untitled sampler CDs, one with a blank white label and the other with the default CD-R surface. I'm not sure when they were released, but it seems to have been at the same events as the last two presents I mentioned.
⑨ The Phantasmagoria version of the UCP 7th anniversary lucky bag present DVD that I mentioned here was filmed on 2010-03-18. Dali and Megaromania versions still haven't been announced. They better hurry up! Bag's supposed to ship soon!
⑩ Online store THE OFFICIAL SHOP sells Japanese photosets to overseas customers. Apparently, UNDER CODE released a bunch of photosets through the store way back in February and decided not to tell anyone. Anyway, you can find photosets of Phantasmagoria (2010), chariots, ClearVeil, Synside, two sets of Megaromania, two of Arc, two of 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN), and a special live photoset of Nega. Buy them and scan them for us!

① Phantasmagoria is collaborating with INDIVISUAL and USTREAM to bring us something very special. Phantasmagoria's 2010-04-05 limited revival finale live will be streamed live online to the whole world!! This is extremely special, as the live sold out long ago.
The event live stream will start at 18:00 JAPAN TIME, which is 5:00 AM US Eastern Time (on a Monday). It's pretty early, but hopefully many of us can make it! (And hopefully record it~) I'll post reminders and more details closer to the date.
2010-04-03 Edit: Please see this post for more information about the stream.
② Phantasmagoria is releasing a new mini-album! But here's the catch: it's live-limited. The mini-album will only be sold at Phantasmagoria's 2010-04-05 “60 Minute Limited Premium Live,” which signals the end of their limited revival. In accordance with that, this CD really will be Phantasmagoria's last release ever. (At least according to VISUNAVI. Who knows?)
The mini-album is called actuality, and it will be released in two types, one with a live DVD and the other with a bonus track. The live DVD was recorded at the 2010-03-19 live that they just held. There are no plans to sell it in regular stores :( Hopefully that will change.

We've all been around long enough to know that plenty of people will complain about the release and make fun of KISAKI. But like I said with the announcement of Diamond Dust and Seeds of Brain: any Phantasmagoria is good Phantasmagoria!
And letting the whole world watch their last live for free? That's fucking awesome!
Here are a few more details regarding that Phantasmagoria live-distributed DVD I posted about earlier. First, you can [sort of] see the cover here. Second, it is indeed a live digest DVD as I thought. Last, it really is super limited—the DVD is limited to 30 pressings. Hahahaha
This is random, but I felt the need to share! The Phantasmagoria cover story from Cure Vol.79 is really good, if you're at all a fan of them or UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. It reveals a lot of details that were previously secret.
For example: the details of Shion's secession from Phantasmagoria, the reason why KISAKI's 12 month photobook campaign was cancelled suddenly, and the real motivation behind KISAKI's retirement.
I don't have any reason to promote it other than that I enjoyed it so much. If you'd like to read the interview, head to , where posted scans of the official English translation (along with scans of the rest of the magazine, of course).
The L∞p・Ash cover story, on the other hand, is an absolute chore to get through. No real information, just paragraphs and paragraphs of mindless “our goal is to spread love!” drivel. The “ALiBi-bye!!” at the end alone is enough to make you rage. It's a real shame that L∞p・Ash has become so vapid!
March will mark the 7th anniversary of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's formation. It's a huge milestone for the label, especially because that means it has officially outlasted Matina! To celebrate the anniversary, the label is making some very rare releases available via the OFFICIAL WEB SHOP, for a very limited time only!
① First, they're releasing official bootleg live DVDs of several session bands. Since they're bootlegs, the camera quality isn't amazing, but there will never be another chance to see these bands again! The DVDs range in price from 2,000 yen to 2,940 yen, so I'm assuming some are longer than others. Get them now if you want them!
② Second, the label's releasing a brand new lucky bag! Like the new year lucky bag, this one will contain 25,000 to 30,000 yen's worth of goods for only 3,675 yen. However, this one is even more special. Each set will contain a designed tote bag, the aforementioned goods, and a special “trading” DVD! Each DVD contains a comment and rehearsal footage (1 song) from one band. There are seven DVDs in total, and the one you get is completely random. However, anyone who buys three sets of lucky bags will receive all seven DVDs automatically! Reservations begin March 1st, and the bag will be sent out on April 10th. Quantities are extremely limited, so order now!

I honestly wish I could get it all! The bootleg DVDs especially. I know UNDER CODE actually films a lot of its lives, so it's like getting a peek inside their secret archives. I'll definitely be getting the Tsumidan ones at least. And as for the lucky bag, well, it's always a great deal, and this one has the added bonus of the special DVDs. I wonder if I'll actually be able to get three... Must get that Dali DVD!
① music japan+, the web-based visual kei magazine, has formed a partnership with SHOXX. One of their first acts has been to post a full English translation of Phantasmagoria's interview in SHOXX Vol.206. The band talks about their new releases, their brief flirtation with major status, how they almost made a full revival, and more. It's surprisingly interesting! Phantasmagoria's interview from SHOXX Vol.206.
② KISAKI revealed in his blog that Arc is currently shooting a PV. I'm not sure what the PV's for, since their upcoming single only comes with a live DVD, but I guess we'll find out soon! KISAKI posted a cell phone picture from the shoot here. Looks like it will be a green screen/special effects fest, haha!
① The cover and full tracklist of Phantasmagoria's Diamond Dust have been revealed. See the cover here.
② The cover of Phantasmagoria's Seeds of Brain has also been revealed. You can see that one here.
③ This is old news, but whatever~ 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) is to be featured in the new edition of 妖幻鏡 (Yougenkyou), which is a classic visual kei omnibus that hasn't had a new edition in a long time. The omnibus always promises to collect future stars before they get big. This year's edition is called amethyst. The cover can be seen here.

This is a recap post since I've been somewhat busy throughout the day.
① KISAKI announced that Phantasmagoria's limited revival would end on 2010-04-05. He also announced he is ending his retirement and will form a new band. Read this post for more information.
② Phantasmagoria's online event was today. You can read details of the event here. It might still be going on as you read this post, so check the twitter and Facebook to see.
③ I watched the online event for almost 9 hours... And I'm only stopping now because I'm so tired. During the event, I logged some major events here. Also, a bunch of members and I chatted live in a chat room. So if you're just turning in, drop by the room and maybe someone will still be there!
④ Thanks to everyone who chilled in the chat room with me. It was really awesome, and you guys are awesome. And thanks to everyone who commented on the entry about the online event—over 50 comments, which is insane! I really love this community! Hopefully I'll be able to pay you guys back with some cool uploads or something, haha~
① KISAKI has made an important announcement to all fans. As you know, on 2009-12-31, Phantasmagoria began an activity revival. However, this revival was never to be permanent. Therefore, Phantasmagoria's limited revival will end on 2010-04-05.
However! After much deliberation, KISAKI has decided on his future. KISAKI is officially coming out of retirement, and, later this year, KISAKI will form a new band and continue activities. He knows that many people will disagree, but asks that true fans come with him.
Quite a surprise... I expected the big announcement to be a full Phantasmagoria revival. Guess not.
② Phantasmagoria's online event is still going on! The guys just came back and started tweeting again. I'm keeping track of important events at my previous post here. Also, a bunch of us are chatting about the event. Feel free to join your fellow friends at the online event chat!
Don't forget about Phantasmagoria's online event (details here)! It's supposed to start in an hour.
They still haven't announced anything about how to “apply” so I'm just going to assume that they didn't mean anything by that. Hopefully everything goes on without a hitch!

Phantasmagoria ORIGINAL SPECIAL DVD (with a comment and live clip)
Cure is sponsoring a really cool, three-part online event to celebrate Phantasmagoria's limited revival.
On February 1st, Phantasmagoria will be in the Cure offices to do a cover shoot. The photography session will be streamed live for everyone to see! To see the stream, you'll need to follow these steps:
Apply for the event via twitter. Note: They haven't announced specifically how to apply yet, but I will post again when they do.
February 1st, 9:00 JAPAN TIME is when the stream will start. Use this site to convert to your local time.
Note: Cure's English translation says that it starts at 9PM Japan time. However, the original Japanese doesn't mention AM or PM, and the Japanese usually use a 24 hour format... Also, the Japanese facebook post lists the event at 9AM. So I'm assuming 9AM Japan time is the start, but I could be wrong.
Secondly, the members of Phantasmagoria will also be tweeting on the official Cure twitter (Cure_office) throughout the shoot.
And finally, photographs and videos of Phantasmagoria will be put up on Cure's official Facebook.
2010-02-01 Edit: It turned out that the “live streaming” aspect was just live tweeting from the members of Phantasmagoria and Cure staff. However, they answered tweets from fans. Also, no videos were posted.
If you're going to try to catch the event, be sure to get the correct time! The event starts in Japan time, so you'll need to convert first. Mark your calendars! And of course, I'll make another post if anything changes.
① Sort of old news, but Phantasmagoria has announced a oneman for 2010-04-05 at 大阪 (Osaka) BIG CAT. The live is called Diamond Dust in Truth ~新たな約束~ (Diamond Dust in Truth ~Aratana Yakusoku~). Here's the catch though: it's a “60 Minute Limited Premium Live.” Tickets are being sold at the special price of 1,500 yen, and they're being sold exclusively through UNDER CODE's mobile site from 2010-01-20 through 2010-01-31 (after which they go on general sale).
② VIDOLL's シュン (SHUN) is having a birthday event at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock Maykan) on 2010-02-15, and some UNDER CODE artists will be there (along with people from other bands): KISAKI, JUN and IORI, ex-VIDOLL members ヒデ (HIDE) and ユキネ (YUKINE), and all the guys from Arc. And more people will be announced in the future, so I'll update if any other UNDER CODE guys are showing up.
③ After their tour final, The Prophecy of the XXX, Nega will be sponsoring an event to celebrate their 5th anniversary (wow!). The Counting Song of the XXX will take place on 2010-04-30 at 渋谷 (Shibuya) O-WEST. spiv states, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN), ケミカルピクチャーズ (CHEMICAL PICTURES), 己龍 (Kiryu), ベルベット (Velbet), DragonWAPPPPPPER, Zip.er, and amber gris will be appearing. Those who attend will receive a present.
④ 総長 (Souchou a.k.a. KO-JI of Arc) and りゅうと (Ryuuto) of ClearVeil are sponsoring an event. 地下☆ドル ~愛込めさせて頂きます~ (Chika ☆ DOLL ~Ai Komesasete Itadakimasu~) will be held on 2010-04-16 at 秋葉原 (Akihabara) CLUB GOODMAN. Arc, ClearVeil, and special session band 秋奈名原 -アキナバラ- (Akinabara -AKINABARA-) will perform.
⑤ I previously mentioned Megaromania's last lives with the current lineup. Well, the names of the lives have been revealed: Oblivious of farewell. The final show will be recorded, and those who attend will get their names put in the credits of the eventual DVD release. The DVD will be mailed later to those who attended the show.
⑥ Arc is sponsoring two birthday events. color踊る脚 -KO-JI BIRTHDAY EVENT- (color Odoru Ashi -KO-JI BIRTHDAY EVENT-) will take place on 2010-04-29 at OSAKA MUSE and will feature Arc, 【PaRADEiS】, HEAR, and ClearVeil (as a guest). Then, color踊る指先 -俊 BIRTHDAY EVENT- (color Odoru Yubisaki -Shun BIRTHDAY EVENT-) will take place on 2010-05-21 at 池袋 (Ikebukuro) RUIDO-K3, and will feature Arc, MoNoLith, DANGER☆GANG, and Dali (guest). A special “secret” DVD will be distributed at both events.
⑦ To celebrate their upcoming single, Dali is sponsoring four events under the name パルスプラス4アカデミーズ (PULSE PLUS 4 ACADEMIES). The first two will be at 池袋 (Ikebukuro) RUIDO-K3 on 2010-04-10 and 2010-04-11. The final two will be held at 心斎橋 (Shinsaibashi) FANJ-twice on 2010-04-24 and 2010-04-25. A different present will be distributed at both pairs of lives.
⑧ Finally, シンディケイト (CINDYKATE) will sponsor an event to celebrate their upcoming CD. メトロポリスは今どこに?! (METROPOLIS wa Imadokoni?!) will take place on 2010-05-01 at 渋谷 (Shibuya) LIVE HALL aube shibuya.
② A bunch of releases have been added to the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION OFFICIAL WEB SHOP. The additions include the latest releases from chariots, シンディケイト (CINDYKATE), ClearVeil, Megaromania, Phantasmagoria, and Synside.
I really like the シンディケイト (CINDYKATE) covers! They are basically SEX AND THE CITY rip offs, and it's awesome. On the other hand, the chariots covers are ugly, and the Synside cover was revealed (in smaller form) a long time ago.
[And on that subject, don't forget to join if you're interested in Synside!]
So still no word on an official revival, but... Phantasmagoria is releasing two new CDs!
① In 2007, prior to their decision to pause activities, Phantasmagoria was actually going to go major. Their major debut single was to be 神歌 (Kamiuta), and now they're releasing what was going to be the coupling track on that single. Diamond Dust will be released on 2010-03-10 with a bonus DVD containing footage from the 首都制圧 (Shuto Seiatsu) countdown live that took place last night.
② Apparently, through 2006 and 2007, Phantasmagoria actually wrote several songs that were never released. These songs are now being collected and released in the form of a mini-album with a bonus track (a KISAKI SLAVES' song which was previously only live-distributed). Seeds of Brain will be released on 2010-03-10.
Phantasmagoria - Diamond Dust 2010-03-10; 2,625 yen; Single CD+DVD; UCCD-258; Limited pressings CD 01. Diamond Dust CD 02. Diamond Dust (Instrumental) DVD 01. 30 minutes of live footage from 首都制圧 (Shuto Seiatsu) Seeds of Brain 2010-03-10; 2,100 yen; RARE TRACKS mini-album CD; UCCD-259; Limited pressings 01. Seeds of Brain 02. Cry... 03. Desperate Resolution for my Soul... 04. KISAKI SLAVES: My Mental State... (Bonus track)
① I previously posted this here, but locked the entry since I wasn't 100% sure. But now I am! シンディケイト (CINDYKATE) is joining UNDER CODE PRODUCTION and already has a release planned. The band's section at the UCP OHP is here, and there's already a sample up!
② Phantasmagoria will be participating at a pair of lives on 2010-02-05 and 2010-03-19. It's important to note that they are not announcing a comeback at this time; they are simply playing as guests. However... They have been removed from the “disbanded” page at the OHP, so maybe we can expect something more substantial soon~
③ Phantasmagoria has opened a special section at the OHP. See Phantasmagoria's page here for the first official shot from their recent photography session.
④ And for some live news~
Arc and 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) are having a twoman, UCP突撃編2マン Arc維新隊 (UCP Totsugekihen 2 MAN Arcishintai), on 2010-02-11 at Shinsaibashi FANJ-twice.
水風船 (Mizufuusen) and (有)ネガエンタープライセス ((Yuu) NEGA ENTERPRISES) (the Arc and Nega session bands) are sponsoring a VS event, ヴィジュアル界の阪神巨人戦!! (VISUAL Kai no Hanshin Kyojinsen), on 2010-05-04 at ESAKA MUSE.
And finally, UCP's 7th anniversary will be celebrated with the event 地下線7周年記念祭 (Chikasen 7 Shuunen Kinensai) on 2010-03-13 and 2010-03-14 at OSAKA MUSE and ESAKA MUSE.
① 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) has a new sample up at the UNDER CODE OHP. The sample is for their new song リプレイ (REPLAY), and can be found here.
② Two more bands have been announced for UNDER CODE's 首都制圧 2009~2010 (Shuto Seiatsu 2009~2010) New Year countdown event. First, シンディケイト (CINDY KATE) has been announced as an additional band. Second, the special countdown guest has been revealed: Phantasmagoria.
(For the full, updated lineup of the event, please see this entry.)
Details of 首都制圧 2009~2010 (Shuto Seiatsu 2009~2010), UNDER CODE's New Year countdown event, have been released. As previously stated, it will take place on 2009-12-31 through 2010-01-01 at 東京キネマ倶楽部 (Tokyo KINEMA Club). Special goods will be available at the live. The lineup is as follows:
Lots of news today~ Sorry for the flood of awesome.
① One year after Phantasmagoria's disbandment, their label-mates at UNDER CODE will hold a special memorial event for the band (← official description). 関西日本制圧2009 ~memory of Phantasmagoria~ (Kansai Seiatsu ~memory of Phantasmagoria~) will feature chariots, ネガ (NEGA), 平成維新 (Heisei Ishin), Arc, Dali, ClearVeil, Megaromania, and a special opening act, ファンタスローディータカフミ❤HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAND❤ (PHANTAS-ROADIE TAKAFUMI ❤HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAND❤). There will also be a large session at the end.
② The UNDER CODE PRODUCTION download site, UNDER GROUND MUSIC will be available at the following address on June 1st: under-ground-music.com.
③ 平成維新's (Heisei Ishin) new OHP can be accessed at its new URL: heiseiishin.com.
④ ネガ (NEGA) will release a digital download-only single, Nameless alice on 2009-06-01 when UNDER GROUND MUSIC opens. Their first full album, GRAVE OF THE SACRIFICE, will be released on 2009-07-22 in two types (one with a bonus track and the other with a PV). The privilege for buying them from the UNDER CODE NET SHOP is a special DVD for each type. They will hold two oneman lives to celebrate the release: FUNERAL OF SACRIFICE ~大阪空葬志願者~ (FUNERAL OF SACRIFICE ~Osaka Sorasou Shingansha~) on 2009-07-26 at OSAKA MUSE, and FUNERAL OF SACRIFICE ~大阪埋葬志願者~ (FUNERAL OF SACRIFICE ~Osaka Maisou Shingansha~) on 2009-09-13 at RUIDO K4. A special CD will be distributed at both lives. A new flyer with all of this news can be seen here.
⑤ Megaromania also has a new flyer up here. It brings good news: three new singles and three live events to go with them. evil, holy, and deus will be released on 2009-07-15 with two new tracks each. The three events will all be held at Takadanobaba AREA: evil and invitation on 2009-07-20, Holy the Bible on 2009-07-21, and Imperial the deus on 2009-07-22.
⑥ SIVA's 2009-05-21 announcement is just a special live event. On the day before their final oneman, the "SIVA with UNDER CODE PRODUCTION family FINAL EVENT" (← again, official wording) will be held. Prediction from a prophet:Code -FINAL- will take place on 2009-07-24 at Shibuya O-WEST. Many UNDER CODE bands will appear alongside cocklobin and a large session at the end.
⑦ ClearVeil will be releasing something new as well, but I'm not sure what yet. In any case, they're holding a three day event to celebrate it. Voice to remind you of awake will be held on 2009-08-29 at OSAKA MUSE, 2009-08-30 at Nagoya HEART LAND, and 2009-09-11 at Shibuya O-WEST.
⑧ Dali is releasing something, but I'm not sure what it is either. KISAKI has mentioned that it's something important, so let's hope it's a good important. Anyway, they're holding an event and a oneman show to celebrate its release. The event, 偏執狂的悲観的方法 (Henshitsukyouteki Hikanteki Houhou), will be held on 2009-08-28 at Meguro ROCK MAYKAN. The oneman, エピローグ溺死体 (EPILOGUE Dekishitai), will be held on 2009-09-06 at Shinsaibashi FANJ-twice.

ClearVeil - ~Something.~ It hasn't been announced yet!
Sorry for taking so long again, it's not the interview's fault, since it's actually pretty easy XD, I just was too busy lately. -____- Thanks to new beta-reader sama ^^ I'm afraid the translations misses two small things, I couldn't make sense of, but they're not vital for understanding. Also it might not be 100% correct since my japanese still has room to improve. -__-""" I hope you can enjoy it nevertheless. ^^
Before you mentioned, that as fellow vocalists you have common worries.
Miyawaki: Indeed there’s a lot.
Jui: It’s problems that no one else understands.
Miyawaki: You yourself are the only that can solve them. The mortifying feeling you get, when you have no voice, it’s hard to cope with.
Miyawaki: Once I had no voice during rehearsal. It was so vexing that I was about to cry and stormed out of the practice room.
Jui: Yeah, that’s how it feels. I also cry at times when I have no voice during rehearsal … It’s the worst pain ever for me.
Miyawaki: It’s really painful.
Jui: The people that understand times when you say: „Today, I don’t feel good.“, are other vocalists.
Miyawaki: That’s true.
Jui: They kindly reply: “Such things happen, right? “
Miyawaki: They really understand how it feels.
Jui: in such times we want to help each other, by sharing knowledge we learned before, like „What about trying this?“
A simple cold is already a disaster.
Miyawaki: Aah, Jui-kun had trouble with hay fever lately. There was nothing he could do, so he was really pitiful.
Jui: Moreover isn’t it kind of uncool, when you have no voice because of hay fever. (laughs) I tried counter measures but well … even now my nose is stuffed.
You also have to bear the responsibility of the MCs.
Jui : Well, the Undercode vocalists probably all suck at doing MCs.
Miyawaki: It’s all people that get uneasy, when it comes to the real thing. Either you can create a character like Riku-san or you just say what comes to mind without thinking at all.
Jui: I do think a lot, but before the audience I just can’t say what I came up with.
Riku: You two say so, but seen from my POV, everyone besides me can show their character nicely in the MCs. So about this problem I’d like to say „Why are you worrying? You’re actually not bad.“ (laughs)
Jui: No, I always go on and on about the same old things in my MCs.
Miyawaki: Same here. When I watch videos of lives I skip them. (laughs)
Jui: Indeed. (laughs)
Miyawaki: Also those, who play instruments have to be a t least somewhat calm. But as vocalist your tensions gets high and you end up saying things you didn’t plan to say in the MCs.
Jui: So true. I tend to say unimportant boring things and get laughed at.
Miyawaki: I tend to mess up at the really important parts. (laughs)
But isn’t it nice that you can talk about such things with other Undercode vocals.
Miyawaki: That’s true. In the beginning I really cared about my physical condition. I tried not to eat stimulating things and set up a humidifier in my room. But in the end I realized that it’s just about vocalization. If you vocalize probably it’s alright. That’s what I thought when I looked at Riku-san.
Riku: (blushes)No, no, no.
Miyawaki: I really admire the way Riku-san sings.
Riku: Well, that’s just the only way I can sing.
Miyawaki: I would have expected a reaction like “Of course? Who do you think I am?” (laughs)
Riku: (bitter smile) No way I’d say something like that. I could say I worked hard to find a way of singing that is recognized, but still it’s kind of usual.
Miyawaki: So you were born with it. A child prodigy.
Riku: I’m not sure whether that’s a compliment or a disparagement. (laughs)
Miyawaki: Anyway the way Riku-san sings is amazing. Jui’s songs have something eerie about them. I’ve never seen anything similar.
Jui: What the ..? (laughs) There’s nothing special about my songs.
Miyawaki: There so is.
Jui: Your songs are really powerful with their air of madness.
We have three totally different personalities here.
Miyawaki: The last time I went to see Phantasmagoria at the AX (Shibuya-AX, quite big concert hall in Shibuya, Tokyo)I understood Riku-san’s feelings, so I cheered with all of my heart. But during the intro of a song you have to head bang all the way until he starts singing. It was exhausting. (laughs)
After all you have this view point because you’re fellow vocalists, right?
Miyawaki: I think it’s because we share the same worries.
So, in the end were you glad you could meet each other?
Jui: When we meet, we can talk about everything like real good friends, but we’re also fair rivals that accepted each other … It feels like there are 2 vocalists, that are utterly different, close to me. We also inspire each other and learn from each other by adopting things, like: “I might try to steal that from him.” Also we can talk about the vocalist troubles we share and give advice. For me they are really important.
Miyawaki: As for me … I don’t like people that are in bands. (laughs)
Miyawaki: Well, that is, even people that 12012 perform together with, I don’t really like talking to them. (laughs) Jui: Aah, I kind of understand
Is it because you’re rivals?
Miyawaki: I don’t really understand it, but I think I have a kind of evil - “Don’t talk to me!” - aura. Doesn’t it feel like that?
Riku: Well, it really is like “Don’t come close to me!” I think.
Miyawaki: So of course I don’t want to lose to anyone in the label, but these two are different from Kisaki-san and different from my band members, as well. Together we can help each other improve. Because of that I want to maintain this good relationship from now. In brief these two are my friends. (laughs) So please treat me nice. (laughs)
Riku: Well, a relationship where you can talk about everything is not easily to achieve, I think. Also I’m the only one in Kisaki’s band, right? No matter how much I get scolded in the middle of these two I feel that I’ll always get support. It’s not like we try to defeat each other, but rather that we advance together. I’m really happy about that. I think I’m really lucky that I can be part of a label, where there is a relationship of mutual trust among my fellow musicians.
Sorry for taking so long, final exams got in the way xD.
As always thanks to for beta-reading. ^^
Part one can be found here. Also unfortunately my translation misses 2 short sentences, that I didn't really understand. But it was nothing that important, so it should be alright.
I think you’ve been on tour together quite a lot already. Is there anything special that you remember?
J: What left the most lasting impression on me, was an after show party. We went to Kisaki-san’s house and played the "Kurohige Kiki Ichikami - Game" (This Game: http://www.tomy.co.uk/products/pop---up-pirate/). (laughs) And the loser had to take a shot. Rame-kun kept losing, but he can’t drink much. So he kept drinking while trying to remain serious and that left a lasting impression. (laughs)
Does his face turn blue gradually?
J: No. His face turned deep red and he was desperately trying to resist. That was shortly before the formation of Vidoll.
M: We often drank at Kisaki-san’s place. Once when I went, Rame-san was also there. In fact there were many people there, and everyone was dead drunk. In the middle of that Rame-san was poured some Whiskey by Kisaki-san and some drops of it ended up in Rame-san’s eye and he said "No, No". (laughs) I videotaped that incident. (laughs) Rame-san was really pissed. Since ha was drunk, he yelled furiously at Kisaki-san: "That’s really disgusting." (laughs) Now that I think about it, Tomo-kun (Enya Tomoyuki) suddenly disappeared when we were drinking.
You mean the ambulance incident, right? (That’s a reference to another interview in the book with Tomoyuki, Rame and Jun. In short Tomoyuki went outside to get some fresh air and for some weird reason an ambulance appeared and he got carried away on a barrow. Then he saw Kisaki on the roof top of his house and thought, he would rescue him, but Kisaki just went back in to get a video camera and tape the whole thing. )
M: That’s right. The day after it, I had high fever because of a cold and went to the hospital. And then Tomo-kun came and said: "I came to pay the fee for the ambulance from earlier." (laughs)
R: Kisaki-san really likes games a lot. But I tend to loose quite often. The Tabasco thing was still ok, but he also made me eat dressing mixed with something with a spoon. That was really extreme. (laughs) But after I lost 3 times in a row, I was told "That’s enough already". Nevertheless, it was fun. As long as one doesn’t lose. (laughs)
M: Hahaha. Also we used to live close to Kisaki-san's house. He wold often invite us for dinner. One day, we decided to eat nabe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nabemono) and went to a supermarket to buy the ingredients. The way Kisaki-san was pushing the cart in a kind of leading manner and throwing vegetables, meat and other things, without really caring what exactly it was, into it, even surprised the housewives that were doing their daily shopping. (laughs) Also, I’ll never forget the taste of that nabe.
J: The nabe of darkness. (laughs)
M: Also, once we were riding on a bicycle together. It was just the time when students returned from school, so there were a lot of people. All of sudden we toppled over although we hadn’t collided with anything. We fell forward, so I, who had been sitting behind fell mainly on Kisaki-san’s back. (laughs) The female students that saw us laughed loud. Since we didn’t want to be made fun of, we ran away like nothing had happened. Later Kisaki-san told me that it had really hurt.
So during your noisy get-togethers there must have also been some important decisions made?
M: Yeah, that’s true. Things started from there.
J: At the time of the Nihon Seitasu Tour…
M: There were too many people, so having to take care of everyone was tiring for Kisaki-san. (laughs)
Well, on this occasion, please tell us something interesting about each others personalities.
M: I am the youngest of us three, but the other two don’t look older at all. (laughs)
J: Oh, really?
M: I think those two probably think I’m impertinent.
R: I don’t think that. When someone’s way of thinking is amazing, I think age doesn’t play a role … . I don’t mind cool people being impertinent, but it sucks when they’re uncool.
M: Thank you. (laughs)
R: Actually, I’m the oldest.
M: He’s the eldest.
J: I’m the second son. (laughs)
How does the second son see the youngest child?
J: If you don’t know him personally, he somehow brings about an impertinent atmosphere (laughs), but when you talk to him you notice that he’s a caring person…. We sometimes go drinking together.
M: Right. He sometimes invites me. Mostly it’s just the two of us, so we actually ran out of topics to talk about and it’s boring, but nevertheless I can talk for hours with Jui-kun.
J: I wonder what we talk about. We talk about music, also about private things … Apparently, when one only talks with the members of one’s own band it’s sort of limited. When we talk together, we realize that there are also other opinions.
M: Also, I think because we’re all vocalist we have common worries.
J: True. We talked about that a while ago.
M: Riku-san you can’t drink alcohol, right?
R: Recently I became able to cope with plum wine. (laughs)
J: It’s because your face turns deep red, isn’t it?
M: Since he said he can’t drink alchohol, it’s kind of hard to invite him, isn’t it? I’ve never been to his house before, so Riku-san please learn how to drink. (laughs)
R: Well, how about we got a place that has nice plum wine next time.
J: (laughs) But Riku-san is generally a nice person. He cares about others. When I say “There's a tickle in my throat”, he says “I’ve got cough drops” and gives me one. He’s carrying around all sorts of stuff.
J: Usually he’s quiet but once he starts talking, you can hardly stop him.
R: I just suck at striking up conversations.
M: Riku-kun, you were blood type 0, right?
R: I’m B.
M: Me too.
J: I’m 0.
Are the very B-like?
J: Yeah, they are. When talking about persons with blood type B, they have a strong sense of self. They have a clear view of what they are. I, on the contrary, can’t really comprehend my personality.
M: Jui-kun, do you really think that? (laughs)
J: (bitter smile)Well actually, that’s something I envy persons with blood type B for. (sweat drop)
R: Although he’s trying to act mysteriously he’s easy to figure out. (laughs)
Part 2 - End
There are still two pages of the interview left, but I'm afraid I probably won't start working on them until March since I'm on vacation the whole February.
And is there by chance anyone who wants to write me fanfic about them playing the pop-up pirate game ? XDD
I started translatings this interview and here is part 1.
I'ts an interview with the 3 vocals of the Vidoll, 12012 and Phantasmagoria. The first part is mainly about how they met Kisaki and joined Undercode and Kisaki's charakter. As always thanks to my beta-reader-sama ^____^
Stuff in () is some additional information for those, who are not so familiar with the history of Undercode.
Enjoy ^_^ , , , The 3 vocalists that represent UNDERCODE are on good terms with each other, but they’re rivals as well. Also together they can talk about worries they can’t discuss with their respective bands. They kindly talked about the unforgettable and fateful encounter with Kisaki and the problems they share as vocalists. So there are the eldest, the modest and nice Riku, Jui, who is surrounded by an air of gentleness, and number 3, Miyawaki, who in spite of being impertinent is a considerate person.
-- First of all, please tell us about how you met Kisaki-san.
Miyawaki (M): I first saw him in magazines, during the time of Mirage. (http://www.jame-world.com/uk/database-artist.php?id=37) When I heard he was also running a label, I thought it was amazing. I also went to his lives as a normal spectator. .. We first talked properly in Shikoku when our bands performed together. At that time, he had already founded Syndrome. (http://www.jame-world.com/uk/database-artist.php?id=41) However, when he entered the dressing room an awesome aura was emanating from him. It was kinda scary. (laughs) Just being a representative of a label changes the air around you. Nevertheless, he sat down and asked : “Anyone up for playing cards?”. (laughs) He was kind enough to talk to such a young novice band (= Wataru’s previous band “Lubis Cadir”) like us. From that time on, I became interested in Kisaki-san and after he let us tour together several times, we confessed that we wanted to join Matina. (laughs) (Matina was the label Kisaki had been running before Undercode. It was closed in the end of 2002 because Kisaki was suffering from some serious disease.)
Jui (J): I also learned about Mirage from magazines and also had demo tapes and CDs. I had heard that the bassist was called Kisaki and that he was representative of a label. Moreover, he had started it at the age of 20. I thought that was amazing and checked him out. So when Syndrome had just been formed, a person from a live house in Sendai asked us: “When you're performing together in Sendai, what about doing a tour together as well?” If I remember correctly, the first time we got together was in Maebashi, but we had a scary image of Kisaki-san in mind, so we didn’t want to go to the after show celebration. (laughs) However, he treated us very kindly and of course, had an amazing aura.
--So after that you joined Matina?
J: That’s right. When Syndrome broke up he phoned and asked me: “What about working together?” We hadn’t talked for about a year, so I had thought Kisaki-san had forgotten about me. But when he called, I thought: “He remembered me. I’ll do my best.” That was 4 years ago. (2002)
Riku(R): I had been in Osaka since I had started playing in bands, I had heard that that person was top in the scene, seen him in magazines and had also gone to lives of Mirage. But the first time we really got into contact was Syndrome’s 2nd year. At that time, the band I had been in was taking part in a Matina event and Kisaki-san asked us: “What about working together?”, but I first wanted to bring the band to a proper shape. So after that band broke up and my next band Hiskarea came into life (http://www.jame-world.com/uk/database-artist.php?id=175) Undercode was already formed. My first impression of Kisaki-san was … totally different from what rumors told.
---What kind of rumors were there?
R: I had heard he was a really scary person. But people tend to exaggerate, so rumors gradually get bigger and bigger, don’t they? But after I had met him, he asked me concrete questions like: ”How is that?”, “What do you think about that?” so I could really feel his enthusiasm for his band.
--Seen from your point of view, what are his strong and weak points?
J: His strong point is that when you feel discouraged and like giving up, he supports you with saying things like “It’ll be alright.”
M: What he respects most are humans. What Jui said before, Kisaki-san is someone, who naturally can do things like that. I believe one reason is that for a long time he has been supporting a lot of bands. Also there is his power to move forward. When he decides to do something, he’s like “Let’s phone right now.” That’s also somewhat scary. (laughs)
R: I think his attitude to give his maximum power no matter for what is amazing. For example, there are people that, apart from when someone made a mistake, say “ARR” just to feel refreshed. He only says it when he’s angry but he can also show consent. I think that’s his considerate side Jui-kun talked about earlier. Also when hanging out together he’s the mood maker. He’s got the power to change the people around him.
--Please also reveal his weak points.
J: Weak points … he’s always pissing me off. (laughs) For song titles and such he tells me: “Think about one ‘till tomorrow!”, so I used to hurry, but gradually I understood that if it’s not done by tomorrow it’s still not too late, so I started slacking off.
--So since he’s a man of spontaneous decisions, things should best be finished on the same day.(laughs)
J: That’s true. Lately, even though he tells me do something for the next day, even a week later is still ok. (laughs)
M: Well, his good points and bad points as well are childlike, he’s like a baby. (laughs) But this spirit is really important, since there are a lot of things you lose sight of when you become an adult.
J: In the past he used to do things like put Tabasco in drinks of other people.
J: I once found fried chicken in my drink. (laughs)
M: When I came back from the toilet there was salt in my beer. (laughs)
R: I had Edamame in mine. (laughs) And when we went to an Italian restaurant my spaghetti was suddenly Tabasco –colored.
--That’s the level of a primary schoolboy. (laughs)
J: Hahaha. But when he’s feeling down, he’s feeling down thoroughly. Still he recovers fast. That’s also amazing, I think.
--When Matina was facing its end you three were there also, weren’t you?
J: That was just about half a year after Vidoll’s formation, so it I had been quite a shock. Kisaki-san had ruined his health and was hospitalized, so we even went to Wakayama to visit him. When he told us: “From now on let’s work even harder than before!”, in a café close to the hospital I, myself, thought from now I’ll work harder than before. In the end the happiness about the formation of Undercode was bigger than the sadness about the loss of Matina.
M: Yuusuke, who is also part of 12012 now, had also been in my former band. So we had the feeling that we had lost everything. When Kisaki was hospitalized there were a lot of people we lost contact with. They all wanted to move to Tokyo. (Matina had been situated in the Kansai area, the area around Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe) Although in the beginning, everyone had been depending on Kisaki-san. From my point of view now, they were just thinking about their own advantages… During his hospitalization, we exchanged mails with Kisaki-san a lot. Kisaki-san was feeling so down, that he couldn’t even fool with us, so we encouraged him by writing: “We plan on working together from now on too, so if there’s anything we can do now, we will. So please regain perfect health and come back!”. We wanted to create a band that would exceed Kisaki-san’s expectations, so 12012 came into life.
R: I was the only one of us 3 that wasn’t involved in Matina, so I didn’t know the details, but I heard rumors. When I got a phone call telling me about the formation of Undercode, the tone was cheerful, but already in the past he had been considerate in order not to make me worried. Unfortunately, my expectations of becoming a part of Undercode could not be fulfilled with Hiskarea, but when Hiskarea disbanded and I became able to work together with Kisaki-san in Phantasamagoria I was really happy. I had always wanted to be at his side.
-- End Part 1 . So would you be interested in the rest as well?
Later they for example talk about drinking partys at Kisaki's place and how much having a cold sucks when you're a vocalist or their diffuclties with MCs.
I spent a whole lot of time typing it from the magazine as I do not have a scanner and lost my USB wire m(_ _)m
Introduction: After their last live on August 31 2007 at Osaka International House, Phantasmagoria will return for a 1 day revival and final performance excatly a year later at Shibuya-AX in what is sure to be an unforgettable event!!!!! We checked inn with the band to talk about their recent performance at the much talked about ''hide memorial summit'', and the course of events leading up to their revival. How do they feel about the live that will truly be their final performance as Phantasmagoria?...... For their cover special feature interview, we delved into the "mystery" that is Phantasmagoria!! -For this cover interview Phantasmagoria had a photo shoot after a long while, didn't you? JUN: I think it's been a year or so? Riku: That's right. The last time was when we did a photo shoot for the cover of Cure. KISAKI: It's been a long time, but it felt the same as when we did it in the past. Riku: Yes. It didn't feel uncomfortable at all! KISAKI: That's what's strange about Phantasmagoria. It was the same when we participated in the hide event as well. Although over 10 months had passed since we last performed, it's natural for us to be together as a band, and we were able to regroup and have alot of fun performing together.
-Now you've got a revival live planned for August 31, which continues things from the hide summit live. Can you tell us about what happened from the time of your last tour until the live at Osaka International House and give your reflections about those events? Riku: Right before the last tour the condition of my throat became bad and I didn't know the reason. Our schedule had already been set and I wonderered what would happen, but miraculously it quickly became better which really stands out in my memory. With KISAKI having decided to retire, I fet strongly that I want to send him off in the proper way, but I gained a lot of power from fans, and I definitely prossessed this mysterious power that cannot be seen. JUN: I had this strong feeling that more thanthe members, it's the fans who are ending. It was coming to the time of the last Osaka live, entering the end of the end, and finally I had this feeling like, "This is the end...". But that was a good thing somehow. Until the end I felt like, "OK, I get to do it again today!!" Matoi: For each song we played at the Osaki International House live I would think, "This will be the last time I play this song with these members," which made me so sad I ended up crying, so I felt something special. Until then, the same as now, it was strange that I didn't sense realistically that things wouldn't continue forever.
-You felt all of a sudden that time had passed? Matoi: Yes, it really went by so fast. Iori: Instead of feeling that it was special just because it was the end, I really wanted to paint a picture of Phantasmagoria as large than life at each live we played. It's strange to say that it was the first live I truly would never forget, but in everything I do from now on, I feel the greatest live for me was this Phantasmagoria one, and I'm glad I got to do it. KISAKI: My feelings are no different from the others, but my decision to retire was the trigger for our disbandment, and until August our schedule was incredibly hectic, but strangely enough I didn't go through feeling sad. It was the first and last one man tour across Japan for Phantasmagoria, and I genuinely wanted to bring a sense fo completion to it and feel that we had performed great lives. But while on stage during the live before my retirement, the comments from the members and the voices of support from everyone and their tears powerfully conveyed their feelings to me, and somehow I almost started to cry myself, I also watched the re-released footage of our lives and over.
-After that, what led you to reform this time? Riku: We can talk with KISAKI when we want to even now, but when apart from KISAKI we would talk and say, " We want KISAKI to be on stage one more time." But judging from what KISAKI says, it was like when if he says he's retired he can be convinced to do it. (4times:kisaki) Riku: (laughs) But we tried working in the shadows. It was the same for us, and the people connected to us and those who supported us wanted to see us come back too. More than we ever expected, the support was tremendous.
-This was in the form of fans' signatures? Riku:Yes, I think that says it the most powerfully. It's impossible to hear what everyone has to say personally, but alot of people wanted to see us perform again. The number of people who signed exceeded our expectations. They asked if doing so couldn't convince us to reunite. And KISAKI probably doesn't remember this, but he once said in passing, "We need to get together again even if we're already old men." KISAKI: If I had said that, my retirement would be a lie! All: (laugh) Riku: Oh really? KISAKI: If I said we should do it even if we're old, it was my grumbles of reluctance about retiring! (laughs) Riku: Really? (laughs) But that was before you decided to retire, wasn't it? It's something you said before you ever mentioned ''retirement''!! Iori: We had conversations saying things like, when we're in our 50s, even if we're already decrepit, let's perform "Kami Uta"! KISAKI: That's right, you ought to say it in that way (laughs).
-(laughs) Once you had collected all of those signatures, you were able to persuade KISAKI to do it? Riku: We begged him saying, "It's not just us who wants it." This is from people who have no way to see KISAKI unless he's on stage.
-When you heard this from the other members, how did you feel, KISAKI? KISAKI: I was really happy but even how now my difficulties aren't over 100%. It made me happy to hear this, but I couldn't nod my head and say, "OK'' straight away. At first when they would talk about it I would change the topic..... -They met with you and talked about it several times? KISAKI: We talked about it a few times, didn't we? JUN: Yes, we did, especially KISAKI and I would meet to disscuss it. KISAKI: At first we would talk about it, but before we knew it the conversation would move on to something else, and we'd talk about some shaky topics. But one of those times, I got to see all of the signatures and I think there were over 10,000? Riku: That's right. KISAKI: Also, it wasn't just signatures, but alot of people wrote messages too. The most common kind of message was, "When you decided to retire, I go to watch great performances from you until the end, but instead of decideding to retire, you had said you would stand on stage again, so isn't the manly thing to do perform until you die?" I thougt what they said is right. And they also said that Phantasmagoria was original and now the age of old-school visual kei has come to an end since the band is no longer around.
-You certainly had that image from the beginning. KISAKI: But over the course of a year, a lot of people also wrote, "You created a new type of classic VK across Japan.'' I realised then that we had created that just as a result of our normal activites and it was something we were able to leave as our legacy. JUN: But as we talked about this, we realised it's a difficult subject. Even if fans understand that, in fans hearts they may think that we'll really be able to perform again. If they didn't think that, we wouldn't be able to ask KISAKI about it ourselves. For that reason, I asked myself questions like, how much effort do you put into this band? and how much did we value this band? But once we decided to perform again, I wondered what to do. What would the performance be like? This kind of thing. (laughs) KISAKI: We wondererd where we should have the live. Because there was no question that live had to be on August 31, we were confident that the live house that would leave the strongest impression would be at Shibuya-AX. once I said the word "GO", everyone worked to get it all in order.
-I see... Next, before your revival performance, I'd like to ask each of you what you think Phantasmagoria's good points are. Matoi: There are alot!! First of all, the energy of our lives is good! The members are all close! And our fans are enthusiastic! Our songs are good too! Everything is great! Except that....... Iori: Except that what?? Matoi: We have a member who's almost an old man. KISAKI: Do you mean me? Honestly! You're talking about me!? (laughs) Matoi: No no no, it's me (laughs) I've gotten a bit fat. All: It's not just "a bit". (laugh) Iori: Good points... We have originality, each of us has his own role, and I think it's really great that we got to do things in the direction we wanted. Simply put, our good points is that the five of us are in the band together. JUN: The members get along well, and during lives we're able to perform powerfully and because the ans respond to us it became that we could perform that way. Many fans say they like the diligent effort we put into it, and I think another good point is how we go crazy together with the fans at lives. Riku: Well, everyone's said it, but the members are great...... And after all, our having a great leader is a good point. KISAKI: And who is the leader you are talking about? Riku: Gee, Kisaki...... All: (laugh) Riku: Since we decided to disband, I've seen anew the good points of the others, and when we were able to participate in the hide event I felt condifent in what I had thought of them. I've never been in another band before where I can sing without paying attention to my surroundings. Isn't that amazing? JUN: It IS amazing! (laughs) Riku: Yea, I feel very comfortable. When we formed I wasn't able to see what's around me, I could only think about myself. Then, slowly I became able to think about my surroundings, and became able to think that I don't need to worry. This was the best state of affairs for me. Also, about our leader being great~...... Why are you laughing? (laughs) KISAKI: I'm laughing because I'm happy☆ Riku: Ohh~ (laughs), while he's always making me feel nervous, he also makes me feel comforted. Including all kinds of strategies, he considered so many things on behalf. Even now it's the way. KISAKI: For me, of course I feel alot of gratitude to these four guys. Because I am invited these four to join what I knew would be the last band of my life. During our three years as a band I know that these four have become adults, so I was able to have peace of mind as the manager and leader. The five of us each possess our own good qualities, and when we got together and became one there's a confidence that we can go anywhere and won't fail. It was mentioned that we each have a role, but it's remarkable how we are able to fill them. As for writing music, JUN is our melody maker, and Iori supports him. Even if I produce other bands with twin guitarsm I think there will never be a better pair of guitarists than these two. OK, so I've said what I needed to say. (laughs) JUN: Thank you... The nail that sticks out gets hammered down. If good twin guitars emerger, we'll contain ourselves!! KISAKI: That's good (laughs). As for RIku and Matoi, I'm keeping an eye on the other bands they are in, but I think they look the coolest when they're performing next to me. I sound like a doting father.
-You really have a fantastic relationship with each other... It's come up several times, but on May 3 the band performed at the ''hide memorial summit''. KISAKI: We received a formal offer in March or April. The invitation was really out of nowhere and when I was susrprised. I had a friend who was part of my old label "Matina" who died on the way to hide's funeral service, and we want only people who truly love hide to participate in this event which could only happen now." With those few words I understood the meaning of the event and the significance of us performing there. At the funeral for my friend who died, although YOSHIKI was terribly busy he managed to attend. For that I'm in debt to him, as he went so far to act according to his principles, which makes a man among men whom I truly admire. I had no reason to refuse the offer he made us. But looking at the event, to be honest it would have been great no matter if we were there or not. But in any case, I'm happy to have been invited to perform. then last year, as Phantasmagoria had used the term "sealed" rather than "disband", I feel like our performance this year had been decided from the beginning. As I thought everything is connected. Phantasmagoria is able to perform again on August 31 2008 for all the people who have supported us.
-In fact you only got to perform 2 songs at the hide summit, but I think the fans who went to watch you were really able to convey their feelings. How was it for you? JUN: You musn't waste even a single second, but I was nervous to a degree I've never been before. Also, personally I like hide's music and it's the reason I got into music myself, so I never imagined i would be able to take part in an event like this, and I'm super thankful I was allowed to do it. Matoi: It's like...... everything was huge. It's not just that the stage was huge, but everything was. I put all my effort into that performance and it was no different from the amount of physical effort I put in at one-mans. Iori: Wasn't there a ton of people who wanted to go to that event? But I was able to play at that live!? I was so nervous that the lower half of my body was shaking (embarrassed laugh), and after it ended that was the only thing I remember even if I try try to focus. Riku: People who do music might not say this very often, but more than being talented or untalented, it's about conveying what you feel. I think I was able to do that. To explain why I was able to, this goes back to what I said earlier, but it's because I had a sense of comfort, I think I was able to do the things I wanted to. -KISAKI, I imagine you had a lot going through your head, standing on stage again after you had retired. KISAKI: That's true. It made me realise that I rush everything I do in life. Whether it feels like 10 years have passed or not, hide's brilliance never fades. It made me feel that good things shine forever. I want to thank everyone we encountered at the event, even the people who only supported us or that one day. Having been able to stand on that stage will give me vitality for the rest of my life.
-Finally, I'd like to hear from each member what you are doing now and your plans for the future. Riku, your new band is chariots and when this issue goes on sale you'll be getting ready for your Tokyo one-man live. Riku: That's right. When Cure comes out we'll have already done the Osaka one-man and will be preparing for the Tokyo-live. Iori: Good luck! Riku: I'll try my best! (laughs) I don't want you to look at me strangely. I don't want you to say chariots do things half way... I'm strange, aren't I? Matoi: You were a bit strange. JUN: It's like you were trying to appeal to us. (laughs) Riku: In any case, chariots is on the attack!! At the one-man you'll be able to get what we're doing!! I don't need anyone who doesn't get it!!!!! All: Whoooah~... KISAKI: You are really feisty today, aren't you~ (laughs)
-Matoi, you are now active in the band, JILL CHRIST, right? Matoi: It's something completely different from Phantasmagoria, and I'm testing my limits as much as I can. We have a live on August 19 at O-WEST..... JUN: Isn't that Haiku Day? Matoi: Aa, so it's on Haiku Day...... JUN: Will you compose a haiku?? All: (laughs) KISAKI: At your Haiku Day live please give an enthusiastic reading of your haiku (laughs)! Matoi: ......Bleah...... KISAKI: OK, compose one at the end for us.
-(laughs) Well then, what about you, Iori? Iori: I'm working at an oden joint. JUN: Are you making that oden that comes in a can, Iori? All: (laugh) Iori: No no no, I'm lying. As for me, I'm putting a lot of effort into my next plan... That's all I can say. So please look forward to what I've got in store. That's all i can say!
-And JUN, you solo work is about to be released. JUN: Recently, I've been pursuing solo activities while watching chariots' lives! (laughs) My solo CD will come out on Ham Day, August 6! KISAKI: Speaking of ham, what has Matoi got in his stomach right now? Matoi:...... Boneless ham. All: (outburst of laughter)
-Aside from that, you're also participating in Toshi's (XJAPAN) solo project. JUN: That's right. There will be a Japan-wide tour this summer and I've been asked to play guitar. After summer, I want to join a band as soon as possible. In the end, I just want to be in a band! That never changes for me. I'll try my best!!
-And KISAKI will release an album under a solo name? KISAKI: The overseas version will come out on July 23, while the Japanese version first press is available through special orders. I hope anyone interested will buy a copy. But in fact I want to put all of my effort into preparation for August 31, so I don't want the people who come to see us to do so lightly. Because I want to make Phantasmagoria legendary for the people who support us. I'm also busy producing, and I'm encouragingly keeping an eye on the activities of thesefour. When I saw an article in the newspaper that mentioned that JUN will be a part of Toshi's solo project I thought it was so amazing. I'm simply happy that a member who I handpicked originally would get a chance to take part in such a huge project and I want to give him a lot of support. JUN: I told KISAKI about ir right away. KISAKI: Because we'll always share this kind of bond, as they all take their different paths I absolutely went each of them to become something big. I want to be made to think that I wasn't wrong in choosing them. First of all, we're going to show everyone something amazing on August 31. And lastly, Matoi will share a haiku with us! Matoi: I though you had forgotten about it already~!! KISAKI: (laughs) Please compose a haiku about Phantasmagoria's one day revival! Matoi: "Last live feeling moved I do it!" That's all! KISAKI: Do one more! This one is no good. You started with 6 syllables. Matoi: "This is the end feeling moved come on'' JUN: ......Isn't that one good? (laughs) I think that's all he can manage. All: (laughs)
I hope all of you enjoy reading it :) Gotta rest, my fingers are worm out from so much typing @_@
I thought I'd ask all you Phantasmagoria experts out there about the band's CDs. They've had so many releases that it's hard to for me to keep track of all of them.
The only CD I have from them is the "Splendor of Sanctuary" compilation release. (I also have the re-release of the tribute album, which I adore!) I'm on a budget, but I'd still like to get Phantasmagoria's later works.
So here's the deal: if I want the most Phantasmagoria music for my buck, which releases should I buy or track down? I don't really care for DVDs, but I do appreciate a nice CD booklet.
As an aside, anyone have any thoughts on the nega tribute single? I loved the tribute album, and I still have a sneaking fondness for Ray, but at 1050 yen... :/ is it worth the money? EDIT: And... I just realized this hasn't even been released yet. Nevermind.

① As of May 8th, select UNDER CODE PRODUCTION music is available for purchase of iTunes. It's the first time that UCP has offered digital downloads and I highly recommend purchasing something if you are at all interested; strong support will probably encourage KISAKI to make more available, and it's a LOT cheaper and easier (the iTunes store takes credit cards as well as PayPal) than important CD's or even buying them in Japan. To make the deal a little sweeter, the offerings are iTunes Plus releases, which means that they are basically free of DRM and higher in quality without costing more than normal releases. It's pretty cool, very much worth the small price. Here's the info of what is currently available:
KISAKI PROJECT feat. JUI - Untitled Single 2008-05-08; 1.98 dollars; Digital Single 01. Glass No Album 02. Michi-Shirube Phantasmagoria - Untitled EP 2008-05-08; 2.97 dollars; Digital EP 01. Hikari Ni Furu Ame 02. Gensoukyoku - Eternal Silence - 03. ...Lost In Thought V.A. - UNDER CODE PRODUCTION SPECIAL COMPILATION ALBUM VOL:1 2008-05-08; 4.95 dollars; Digital Omnibus EP 01. Nega / Soul Cry 02. Arc / Calculation Megami 03. Chariots / Cold Pray 04. Siva / Brave 05. Dali / Hoshikuzu
Edit: reminded me that I should specify this: the downloads are not limited to iTunes Japan or anything like that, they are readily available for purchase through the normal iTunes store. The prices are in dollars, there is no weird process to go through, just purchase the songs like you would any English artist. (You can use the links I provided to make it even easier!)
I found this magazine called POPJNEOand it had a review of the Phantasmagoria at the KINGDOM ROCK SHOW in HIBIYA!! And the cool thing is that the whole interview is in ENGLISH!! And it has a bunch of bad ass pics of the whole band taken during the event!! I've never seen any pics of this event so I thought it was rare! (At least that's what I thought, lol)
The magazine covers other bands such as Jinkaku Radio and Uchuu Sentai NOIZ. I'd up some pics, but my stupid old scanners not working... X _ X
① I'll try to bang this one out quickly. Brand X just posted news of two new Phantasmagoria live DVDs. Both will be fairly huge and haven't been filmed yet! Information to follow.
② But before the Phantasmagoria live DVDs are released, a brand new UNDER CODE omnibus will be put on the market. This isn't a normal omnibus though--it's a tribute album. It features all of the UNDER CODE bands (and a few bands that are friendly with the label) covering Phantasmagoria songs. Sweet.

tried to post this, but her account isn't working right now. So here's her post:
Just some quick Kisaki news since that's obviously my specialty, haha.
① It's confirmed that fuuin means kaisan. Phantasmagoria won't be coming back, it seems... the news comes from May's Holiday monthly schedule. I plan on translating the messages from each band member on the label to Kisaki in the near future.
② Furthermore, Kisaki is not quitting his position as president and producer of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. This news also comes from the Holiday monthly schedule.
Some good and some bad. Now to wait for July.
As an afterthought, since this is news, some of you may have noticed that updates have been coming few and far between on my Phantasmagoria fansite. I posted on there about this, and since I haven't said anything lately on here and the member count has climbed, I figure I could ask again...
If any of you want to help me with translations, I really REALLY need the help. I don't want it to sound bigheaded but I need someone as good as or better than me in Japanese because I really need help with translation sometimes! If you have knowledge of HISKAREA/Mar'derayla, etc, that would be really helpful, too.
ヴィドール (Vidoll) holds their last UNDER CODE concert today. 12012 has already moved on from the label, and Phantasmagoria officially paused activities on the 23rd. Although there are two upcoming releases to feature those bands, for all intents and purposes, they have graduated from UNDER CODE.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has entered a "new era," so to speak. Because of that, I decided it was finally time to give this community a MUCH needed overhall. I created a [very overdue] layout for the community, I made a new icon, and I updated the userinfo (though I plan to revise the userinfo later to make it better). I'm going to try to figure out some format for my news posts, and I'm going to start tagging entries. I ask that you active users try to do the same (I'm not going to make a big deal out of it--I'd just appreciate it).
In addition to that, I've moved the links from the user info to its own entry. Hopefully that will be easier to edit. If you want your UNDER CODE related site to be linked here, let me know! I'll try to hunt down as many sites by myself as I can, but I'm only one person!
Anyway, I hope you like/appreciate the new layout, and let's look foward to the future of the community and the label! Spamming now:
Well both Rame and Kisaki updated their blogs, thanking everyone for going to (for those who did) and thanking all the fans and asking for their support for the 3 bands forever (Of course We will Rame-tan!)
From what is on the blog, I'm afraid I not sure on anymore detail, but hopefully it will come soon !!
Well as we all know it's the graduation tommorrow! Rame mentions valentines day and something about it being his and Jui's mothers birthday. Either that or I translated wrong. But I wish the bands all the luck where ever they go^.^ They will be missed at UCP
I guess this will be old news to most of you (since, oh my god, it's two days late), but here goes:
First of all, the last post I made wasn't completely correct. Phantasmagoriawill be pausing activities. Before they do, however, they'll be churning out three more releases:
First is Vain, a one track maxi single. A DVD with 6 live tracks (a la RENTRER EN SOI) will be included. It will be released on 02/14 for 3,150Y.
Next, on 02/21, is Black-Veil Before Christmas, a new live DVD. It will be about 150 minutes long, and is set to sell for 6,300Y (funny how it's longer, but still cheaper than 12012's upcoming DVD). As usual, you'll go crazy looking for rips, and then find them 18 months later on Batsu.
Last is 幻影像Ⅴ ~under the veil~ [GeneizouⅤ ~under the veil~], Phanta's fifth PV DVD. This one will contain the PVs and makings of Unknow zero distance and ・・・Lost in thought. It'll come out on 02/28, and will sell for 2,940Y.
Also: the covers of the upcoming releases from KISAKI PROJECT, hurts, and ネガ [Nega] have been added to UNDER CODE's new release page. I think they're all pretty cool myself.
Well, you can add two more CDs to the growing "UC shit to buy" list. Yeah, I know what you're thinking; "What?! Is 12012 releasing another 500 type single?!" No! These releases kind of took me off guard. Anyways:
JUN (Phantasmagoria) SOLO WORKS will release 「attic」 on March 7th. The CD will have three instrumental tracks, all done by JUN (obviously) and will sell for the standard 1,575. Yo.
Bloody-clown and 放課後倶楽部 [Houkago Kurabu] will release a coupling CD entitled Figure 4 Leg Rock on March 7th. Now, if you're like me, right about now you're thinking "What the fuck is a bloody 4 leg rock?" Well, if you've been stalking the HOLIDAY blogs you already know about it. Bloody-clown is a "special band" made up of 戮 [Riku] of Phantasmagoria and フライパン [Frypan] of Pumpkin Head. 放課後倶楽部 [Houkago Kurabu] is comprised of エイジ [Eiji] of Codomo A and 天野鳶丸 [Amano Tonbimaru] of Guruguru Eigakan. God this is taking a long time to write. Anyways, the CD will have four tracks, will be 2,310 Y and uh, God only knows what it'll sound like. Probably something like the screams of a baby as it's eaten by an alligator. Check it out.
Oh, and 12012 will release their 80th live DVD on February 21st. This one's called XII PARTY. This one 'll be about 100 minutes, and will cost 6,930. But hey, small price to pay to see Miyawaki sweat excessively. Why are you so angly?
Last but not least, as reported by Visual Shinbun (and 100 other places, because they're just that important), 纏 [Matoi] and 伊織 [Iori] are leaving Phantasmagoria. Sucks.
Okay, I'm sorry if some of you are seeing this once again, but I'm in a bit of a tight spot... I lost all of my Phantasmagoria mP3s from my laptop since it's dead now and I need your help to get them all back, please. I tried on , but I'm not receiving much feedback at the moment, so while I'm waiting could someone please help me? I can't offer anything for this as I'm still trying to retrieve all my media back slowly, but this is all for my sanity. D: Thanks in advance.
All right, mission accomplished for the Phantasmagoria mp3s!! Thanks guys. ;D
Heyy, I've been a member of this community for a while, but this is my first post.
I've heard multiple people talk about how much fun and how awesome the furitsuke is to Phantasmagoria's Kami Uta is. Unfortunately while I was in Japan I wasn't able to see Phantasmagoria, so I'm just curious as to what the furitsuke is.

So this might be interesting for those of you who live in Europe: Well, the German Visual Kei label Gan Shin has announced that those three bands singned onto it. And that means some of their cds are going to be released here in Europe and we Europeans might be able to see them live. First I was a bit sceptical but hey doesn't that sound good :D?

UNDER CODE News → As you all know, 2005 has been a great year for UNDER CODE PRODUCTION (and a horrible year for our wallets). Well, it looks as if 2006 will be an even better year for UNDER CODE, and several releases have already been announced. Please check out the list, as all of UC's artists have several releases planned (Some of which haven't been announced until today). (To clarify, 12012, 秘密結社コドモA, カレン, KISAKI, 音鬼, -Phantasmagoria-, and ヴィドール are all on this list)
12012 has two albums planned, both of which will be released on February 01st. The first of these is a best album called not obtain+1, and will contain 10 tracks. One track will be a completely new song, while the rest of the tracks will be rare-ish songs from their live only CDs and various omnibus CDs. The second album will be called PLAY DOLLs, and will contain 10 completely new songs. There will be two versions--A type and B type (KISAKI's such a sneaky bastard isn't he!). The A type will contain a PV for a song from the album called "icy~cold city~." The B type of the album will come with a CD with one more new track. More information as it comes.
秘密結社コドモA (Himitsu Kessha Codomo A) will be releasing three mini-albums, along with a bonus CD that can be obtained when you buy all three. The first album will be called 再放送+予告盤 (Saihousou+Yokokuban) and will contain five tracks. It will be released on December 07th. The second and third album will both be released on January 25th of next year, and will contain five new songs each. Their titles will be オトコノ個 (Otokonoko) and オンナノ故 (Onnanoyue). Buying all three mini-albums will entitle you to a special present of some sort, which hasn't been decided on yet.
カレン (Karen) has the most release planned at this point. Later this year, on December 14th they will release a DVD entitled mellow~創の旋律~ (mellow~Sou no Senritsu~). No other details about it are available yet. They will release three CDs in the first two months of 2006. The first will be a best album entitled primary song memorial~奏の旋律~ (primary song memorial~Sou no Senritsu), and will have a release date of January 18th. The second will also be a best best album, and it's title will be primary song memorial~想の旋律~ (primary song memorial~Sou no Senritsu~). It seems that カレン is playing word games with the titles of the albums and DVD, but someone who knows Japanese will have to figure out what they're trying to say. After releasing the two albums, they plan to give away a CD at live shows on four dates. Those dates are February 19th, 21st, 26th, and 27th. The CD will be entitled プラウド (Puraudo) and will most likely contain only one track.
KISAKI is next jump on the release-bandwagon, and seems to really have a love for photobooks. His first collection of photos comes out on October 19th of this year, and will be named a basement Melody 2.... It will include 30 full color photos (and 60 pages in total), and a free CD with one unspecified track (a new KISAKI PROJECT song perhaps?). Apparently, he already knows it's going to be a hit (the UNDER CODE site seems to suggest that demand for the book has been huge), and has already announced his second photobook, which will be called a basement Melody 3.... It will be released on December 15th of this year, and will come with a bonus DVD of the making of the photobook. (And no, as far as I know there has never been a a basement Melody 1...)
音鬼 (OTO-ONI) has only one CD planned this month, and it was released a few days ago. It's official release date is October 12th, and is entitled 哭 (Koku). It contains four new tracks. This is good news for 音鬼 fans, as they hadn't released anything in quite a while.
-Phantasmagoria- has several releases planned (which isn't surprising) and are taking advantage of all the forms of media available to them. First they're releasing a single on October 19th (the same day as KISAKI's first photobook) which will be called 未完成とギルト (Mikansei to Guilt). It will contain only two tracks, but will come in two versions; A type and B type. The A type single will include a bonus DVD with a "MEMORIAL LIVE CLIP" of their tour "TOUR#2「NEO ARK」." The B type will also include a bonus DVD, but this version will have a "MEMORIAL LIVE CLIP" of their tour "2nd concept TOUR「NEO ARK」." After that, Their PV DVDs must be selling really well, because they already have a third one planned! The new PV DVD will be named 幻影像III~for degradation crowd~ (GeneizouIII~for degradation crowd~). It will be released on December 14th, and will come with an eight page booklet. The DVD continues their tradition of releasing two PVs at a time; one will be for "NEVER REBELLION," and the other for "未完成とギルト" (Mikansei to Guilt). The very next day, on December 15th, they'll release their own photobook called 幻影グラフティー I (Genei Grafitti I). Like KISAKI's photobooks, this one will contain 30 pages of full color photos, and 60 pages in total. The number on the name seems to imply that -Phantasmagoria- anticipates making another photobook, so keep your eyes out for news of that as well.
ヴィドール (Vidoll) is last but certainly not least on this list. First they're planning to release a maxi-single, which has a street date of October 26th. It will have the strange title of Chocoripeyes, and will include only two tracks. Then ヴィドール will be joining KISAKI and -Phantasmagoria- and releasing their own photobook on December 15th. Like the other two photobooks coming out that day, it will contain 30 full color photos and 60 pages extra, but will also come with a free CD of some sort! The title of the photobook will be Back of 『AI』lids. Then will be the first UNDER CODE band to release a CD in 2006. On January 01st their new five track mini-album called Deathmate will be released. In keeping with the recent trend, it will come in to versions; A type and B type. Each type will sport a different jacket, as well as a different bonus DVD. The A type will include the PV for their recent single "シャットダウン," (Shutdown) and the B type will include the PV for their upcoming single "Chocoripeyes." When both versions of the mini-album are purchased, a special present DVD will be included, which will contain a making of clip of "シャットダウン" (Shutdown). According to the UNDER CODE site, the mini-album is being released in celebration of ヴィドール's upcoming one man tour "TOUR 2006-「Reload to living doll」."
Omnibus albums are also planned for release. First is SHOCK WAVE CD the SELECT, which is the next installment of the famous omnibus series. It will contain some of the best tracks of the series, and will features songs from 12012, カレン (Karen), -Phantasmagoria-, and ヴィドール (Vidoll). The omnibus will be released on October 25th. Then UNDER CODE will release the next installment of its omnibus series, "High Style Paradox." The new CD will be entitled High Style Paradox SPECIAL ~RARE TRACKS COLLECTIONS~. It will be released on November 09th, and will contain around fourteen to fifteen tracks total. The UNDER CODE website describes it as a second press of "High Style Paradox IV~re acceleration~" with a different jacket and "rare tracks" from KISAKI's favorite bands. So far ネガ (Nega) and Zephyr are the only non-UNDER CODE bands that are known to be on the CD, but expect more information on the actual tracklist soon.
ダリ and Pasyha haven't announced any upcoming releases yet. I suspect they'll announce something with their debut during UNDER CODE's Japan-wide tour, so keep an eye out for these guys!
Well that's it. This took me a looong time to write up, so I hope you at least scanned over it all! If you have anything to add or correct, please let me know! I'm sure I made mistakes (especially with CD names xD), so any help is appreciated. Also, if anyone could explain the word-play in the titles of カレン's new CDs, I'd be really greatful.
Last night, I went to the big-ass Under Code event in Osaka (all six Under Code bands played).
Between sets, Riku, KISAKI, and JUN of Phantasmagoria, and Jui and Rame of Vidoll came out and announced their cross-promotion with the SEX POT fashion designers. All 5 of them wore outfits that are featured in the latest Sex Pot ad, and you were allowed to take pics for 30 seconds, so I got as many as I could, which can be seen here:
Hi everyone! I thought you might be interested in this. My friend and I recently opened a Phantasmagoria site! So far we have quite a bit up, including 30 second song clips and romanized lyrics, so we'd love for you to check it out (The link is below^^). Also, we created a Phantasmagoria community, , So please join! ^_^/
