Found this off a blog (i'm guessing the owner of the blog is a nega/perestroika fan that's residing in china). Credits all go to her/him of course. Enjoy!!! :D ***I have uploaded the pictures to my photobucket account, so the links should work this time round~*** Sorry for the inconveniences caused!
Yesterday, PERESTROIKA held the first show of their three-day last live event. As initially announced, they distributed a present to those who attended. 春人 (Haruto) revealed that the present was a special CD containing a live recording of the unreleased song ПЕРЕСТРОЙКА.
2011.5.07 ESAKA MUSE 「GLASNOST-XX」 SPECIAL CD 2011-05-07; 0 yen; live-distributed live CD 01. ПЕРЕСТРОЙКА (live)
The next days of the event are the 8th and 21st—I wonder if they'll be distributing special CDs at those lives too...
It's been around two weeks since PERESTROIKA's PAIИZ mini-album was released, and I'm sure all of you have heard it by now. So, if you're so inclined, give your opinion via the poll or post your own mini-review in the comments!
PERESTROIKA's first mini-album, PAIИZ, is set to be released this Wednesday, 2011-04-20. If you haven't bought it yet, do it! But in the meantime, you can listen to previews of the entire mini at Amazon.
By the way, several digital releases are available for purchase via Amazon, if you live in Europe. Arc's, CindyKate's, and Dali's latest releases are all already available, and PAIИZ will be later this week. It's an easy and cheap way to support UNDER CODE rather than illegally downloading everything.
If you live in the US like me, you're screwed; it seems that UNDER CODE doesn't care about our side of the pond! If you'd like to see that change, you should join me in emailing UNDER CODE at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and request that they sell releases via Amazon US as well. You can even email them in English.
(In the mean time, if you really want to buy the digital releases, you should be able to get around Amazon's country restrictions by using a proxy.)
What do you think of the samples? I'm excited, especially for NEGATIVISION.
If you recall, PERESTROIKA is holding their last event, GLASNOST-XX, over three days. On each day, they'll distribute a free present to everyone who attends. Thanks to 優 (Yu), I can tell you what those presents are: comment CDs!
There will be three types, one type distributed at each live, and it seems that all of them are group comments rather than individual ones. It's not a very big deal, but I'm sure my fellow discography completionists would like to know~
(Distributed comment CD -Osaka version-) 2011-05-07; 0 yen; live distributed comment CD 01. (group comment)
(Distributed comment CD -Nagoya version-) 2011-05-08; 0 yen; live distributed comment CD 01. (group comment)
(Distributed comment CD -Tokyo version-) 2011-05-21; 0 yen; live distributed comment CD 01. (group comment)
We're so close to PERESTROIKA's end... I hope there's some news about Nega soon!
Two previews of PERESTROIKA's upcoming mini-album, PAIИZ, have been released. First, the UNDER CODE OHP has uploaded a sample of the new song VIRGIN PAIN. You can listen to it here. Second, the UNDER CODE YouTube channel has uploaded a clip of the HEART PV, which is embedded below the cut.
I personally hate “band playing in white room” and “camera circling around the band” PVs, so to see the combination is lovely |D But the intro and black room with crazy lights parts should be a tiny bit interesting. As for the clip, I want to hear the aggressive part that fades out!
At any rate, I'm excited to hear PERESTROIKA's last(?) release. What do you think?
The tracklisting for PERESTROIKA's upcoming mini-album has been revealed. So ch-check it out~

The official web shop privilege was also revealed some time ago—those who buy both types from the official web shop will receive a making DVD of the HEART PV and a signed cheki of the member of their choice.
By the way, ВВЕДЕНИЕ seems to translate to “introduction,” so I guess that's an SE. And NEGATIVISION sounds like a clever nod toward Nega's revival, don't you think? Any other thoughts on the tracklisting? Plans to buy it?
The details of PERESTROIKA's first mini-album have been released! Recap: PERESTROIKA will release their first mini-album, PAIИZ, on 2011-04-20. The album will be released in two types: the 3,150 yen A type will include a DVD with a PV, while the 2,625 yen B type will include a bonus track.
There's a really special surprise for anyone who purchases both types though... Enclosed in each type is a special application form which can be sent to UNDER CODE (Japanese residents only) and redeemed for... A super rare Misty†Chrise demotape!?!?
In addition, anyone who buys both types from the official web shop will receive a signed cheki of the member of their choice + a DVD with the making of the HEART PV.

By the way, you can see the flyer with this information, and a picture of their “new look,” here.
I have to admit, there's no way I can resist that demotape! Maybe someone can go in on an order with me :B I hope it lives up to the Misty†Chrise reputation hahaha~ What do you guys think?
PERESTROIKA has announced a new sponsored event for 2011-01-07, which will be held at 渋谷 (Shinjuku) RUIDO-K2. Interestingly, the “main event” is that it will feature a one night revival of Misty†Chrise, which is apparently a former band of 如月 洸一郎 (Kisaragi Kouichirou; aka Ray of Nega).
I've never heard of that band though; I always thought au†ism/Aliene were his first bands. Has anyone else heard of Misty†Chrise, or could this be another coy joke?
One other tiny tidbits: in his blog one day, KISAKI called PERESTROIKA a time-limited band, so I guess we know that for sure now. Nega guys are always so cool and mysterious~
Thanks to certain places, many of you will have heard PERESTROIKA's debut single by today. So tell me, what did you think?
Did you like the single? Favorite song? Could you tell a difference between it and the music of Nega? Any thoughts on why this alter ego band exists in the first place?
I thought it was good, and actually different from Nega, if only a little. They seem to be more polished, and the bass especially is cooler than usual. My favorite track was MINDLESS, since that seemed to be the most unusual for them. Still not sure why this alter-ego band exists though. Trying to show executives they can be more marketable?
Ray posted an entry about PERESTROIKA, calling it a new band in the visual scene and noting how strange it is that the band has four members who look exactly like the members of Nega. Ray also goes on to say something like “our revival will not be defeated!”
So I guess the official stance is that PERESTROIKA is a completely different band with different members (...), and Nega still plans to revive.
I know many of you guessed as much already, but it's nice to have some official acknowledgement of the two “real” bands existing at once.
儿 (Jin) posted a more serious locked entry about Nega. The text is behind the cut if anyone wants to take a shot at translating it:
And finally, the last bit of news about PERESTROIKA: their first CD. It's that same title track/different coupling track format that we all know and love. Those who buy it from the web shop will get a signed CD with a message + instrumental versions of all the songs, so that's pretty cool!
And interestingly, it seems that only UNDER CODE is involved in the release (no outside distributor or anything, I suppose). Anyway,
HEAЯTZ -TYPE:A- 2010-11-03; 1,365 yen; maxi-single CD; complete limited press Web shop privilege with both types: signed message + inst. ver. CD 01. HEART 02. MINDLESS
HEAЯTZ -TYPE:B- 2010-11-03; 1,365 yen; maxi-single CD; complete limited press Web shop privilege with both types: signed message + inst. ver. CD 01. HEART 02. 瞋恚の炎 (Shini no Honou)
Anyone already planning to buy them? Let me know what you guys think. (And make sure to vote in the poll about the band!)
I just arrived back home from Lin's performance in Meguro, where I got a bunch of Under Code-related flyers.
There was a "gazette" attached to them.
"Roikar Gazette - the world daily newspaper produced by THE UNDER CODE TIMES This autumn, a monster band debuts. Their name is PERESTROIKA"
Who are they? This autum, a mysterous large size new face band debuts from UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. Their name is PERESTROIKA. They're a Japanese Visual rock band. However. their information yet is hardly revealed. The one of the members talked. "I want to make it to the band that changes this scene." What music do they play? What figures are they? What live do they do? Everything is wrapped in the mystery. It is not possible tp take your eyes off their activities in the future."
The rest of the text is actually a small summary of the Soviet Union history and about the history of Perestroika.
I can't add any scans, sorry. Don't have a chance to scan.
ignore my ugly futon, please.
It's bit strange acutally, but I thought it was worth posting.
I posted earlier about Nega's temporary activity pause. Details of their last lives before the pause have already been revealed! The band will hold two oneman lives in September, and will officially pause activities (temporarily!) after the second one.
By the way, the Engrish in the titles is intentional. For whatever reason, they decided to switch the endings of the words (it's usually “restructure and destruction”), even with the Japanese subtitles too. I guess they just like being weird~
