Yuya's tweet states that Sami passed after an accident
accidental drowning (Edit: no clue where I got drowning from. My mistake.). A wake and funeral for his family and friends has already been held.
Sami (沙美) was most well known for his stint as CindyKate's drummer, but he was a multi-talented musician who also sang and played guitar/bass. He acted as a support musician for tons of bands and sessions over the years, and was set to act as support drummer for session band FLAMINGO (フラミンゴ) on August 30.
As mentioned before, Marco will hold a short tour in commemoration of the mini-album's release. However, on July 25, it was suddenly announced that guitarist Rutta and drummer Kyouhei have requested to leave the band after their tour final oneman on September 10. Both members have cited family reasons as the reason for their departure, so they're also in fact retiring from music altogether. As a result, they will also be terminated from their label contracts.
Fortunately, the soon-to-be remaining members have clarified that they will continue activities. Of course it's too early to estimate if they'll have eventual replacements or continue on as a three-man band. Here's to wishing them all the best going forward~🍻
Like the coupling single trend from earlier UCP days, this CD will contain two new songs from each band, as well as two songs where chariots and Pisarro will cover one another.
This CD is out on September 27th and will cost 2,000 yen.
The single drops on September 9th. As per uge, this single comes in two types-- Type B with an additional bonus track, and Type A comes with a PV DVD. Type A will cost 1,940 yen, and Type B will be 1,620.
Track listings and album art have not been announced, but a fairly extensive tour has been revealed as well. Starting September 2nd, the band will embark on their 4th Anniversary Tour, which will last until the finale on January 13th at Oosaka BIG CAT.
I can't believe they've only been around for 4 years: it feels like so much longer!
Their 2nd mini-album, slated for release on August 16, will contain 6 tracks and a PV for the song, "Yutodoroki" (夕轟)!
In addition, they will hold their oneman release commemoration tour, "Henjin Banzai" (変人万歳) from August 11 to September 10. Here's the complete list of dates:
08/11 @ Takadanobaba AREA (w/ guests JACK CAPER,
PISARRO, and LIRAIZO)
08/26 @ Shinsaibashi JUZA
08/27 @ Sakae RAD

The new single "裁きの悪魔" (Sabaki no Akuma), oddly dubbed their "1st single," comes out November 1st and will come in 3 types: two limited additions with a bonus music video DVD, and a regular edition that comes with 4 songs instead of two. One of the featured tracks is "Tenchuu," which the band has already released twice. This time it will get a music video -- a music video that will be "publicly recorded" and will give fans the chance participate in the video. The first 100 people will received 1,000 yen for doing so (about $10). The band stated that the reason for doing this is because most bands sell tickets to get fans in their video, but to be different, they wanted to give fans money instead.
Type-B will feature a separate music video for their new song "DEVIL."
With the news of the new single and band member, Devil Kitty also has a few more lives planned for the fall.
