A special event has been announced for 2015-12-10 which will memorialize deceased HEISEI ISHIN vocalist Taku (拓). Several special acts will appear―almost all of which were part of the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION family ❤.
N@H, the special two-piece band which was considered the “second act” of HEISEI ISHIN, will appear, along with GIGAMOUS, the formal band that followed. The band More, which features ex-12012 members will appear, as will a special version of THE BLACK SWAN which features ex-NEGA drummer Yu (優)!! A session called Ishin (維新) will appear, which presumably will cover HEISEI ISHIN songs, too.
Finally, a super special session called Yoshifumi BAND (よしふみバンド) will appear, which is made up of retired ex-UNDER CODE PRODUCTION guys...!! It features CO- (the not-seen-since-his-arrest ex-FUTURISM・BOYZ vocalist), TAKAFUMI (most famous UNDER CODE PRODUCTION staff member), KANATA (ex-LIN guitarist-cum-sommelier), Yoshi (HEISEI ISHIN leader who retired from music), and 姫雛~hina~ (ex-Anjyu' drummer). (Interestingly, many of those guys worked at TAKAFUMI's club!)
What a great lineup... I'd really like to see that live! R.I.P Taku ❤
ex-Vior gloire vocalist shall (シャル) has officially joined FUTURISM・BOYZ as of 2014-11-23!
They've had quite the lineup drama... You'll remember bassist B.B suddenly seceded in 2012, and then vocalist CO- disappeared after being arrested in 2013. In 2014, after continuing as a two-person, non-visual band for some time, shall appeared as guest vocalist, then CO- formally announced his secession and retirement. Drummer Shun (俊) recently announced his new band Ai-collage, so it seemed that F・B would be on the back burner... But with shall formally joining, maybe we'll get some more activity! And, gods willing, a release?!
I assume (for the time being) that remembrance will continue at its leisurely pace, but who knows?
FUTURISM・BOYZ has finally made an official announcement regarding vocalist CO-: he has officially seceded from the band as of 2014-09-02.
The band had previously mentioned making an announcement in August about their vocalist... I wonder if they toyed with the idea of CO- resuming activities...? It does seems that they'd planned at least one last live with CO- before his secession.
But it seems that CO- has been unable to find any sense of motivation after all, and thus feels it's impossible to support the activities of a band―and I'm sure this still relates to his arrest in late 2013. So in addition to leaving the band, it seems that he has retired.
Despite this fact, the remaining two members of FUTURISM・BOYZ vow to continue.
The FUTURISM・BOYZ vs Dancing MOGA twoman was completed successfully, with attendance almost sold out, and renewed optimism among remaining members Shun (俊) and YUKIHIRO (ユキヒロ)! In addition to mentioning a few interesting details of F・BOYZ' activity until now (please check the biography page), Shun mentioned in a post that the duo has already planned more lives, due to the success of this one!
It seems we might get an official announcement about a FUTURISM・BOYZ vocalist in August...!
Here's the setlist from the show (keep in mind that lyrics and rhythm to almost all songs were changed to accommodate shall!):
As you may recall, FUTURISM・BOYZ' recent live event was cancelled due to vocalist/leader CO- being detained by police for questioning. It seems that he has finally been released, as he has posted an apology via the F・BOYZ official blog.
Although I can't properly translate the apology, it seems that he glosses over what he actually did, but does admit that he was definitely involved in a crime. He says it was very stupid of him, and apologizes with all of his strength to those who worried about him. He apologizes to all band members, fans, and family, and says that his future activity is to be determined.
On the positive side―if there is one―this apology leads me to believe that the crime is non-violent/not a high-level crime. If it were, I would assume he would be unable to release such a comment, and wouldn't mention even the possibility of future activities. But that's just speculation. The original Japanese comment is below, if you can gather something more out of it:
FUTURISM・BOYZ members Shun and YUKIHIRO announced two days ago that the band's 2013-10-06 sponsored event has been cancelled (featuring ex-UCP cast), due to vocalist CO- being detained by police for questioning.
The members are unsure what CO- was involved in but it seems that he could be in some real trouble (eg. arrested). Shun and YUKIHIRO will further update when they know more about the situation―and after they've made a decision about the future of FUTURISM・BOYZ.
Refunds are available to all those who pre-ordered tickets to the event.
FUTURISM・BOYZ have suddenly announced a live! They will appear at 2013-10-27 event Heartful Live Vol,24 at Nara studio Sola.
It's a non-visual event and F・BOYZ will appear without makeup, costume, etc.. On the plus side, the band will be playing super old songs, from their early Arc days, but reconstructed in a new F・BOYZ style! Furthermore, the event is completely free. It can't be missed if you're a fan of Arc or F・BOYZ!
KISAKI has announced a special Christmas Day sponsored event, at which his one-day-limited special band SchwarzVrain (featuring ex-Megaromania and F・B members) will perform!!!!
C'est la vie ~REMAIN OF THE 20TH YEARS HISTORY~ Saishuushou is the final chapter in the celebration of KISAKI's 20 years of band activity, and will be held on 2013-12-25 at OSAKA MUSE. It will primarily serve as a oneman for special band SchwarzVrain, but will also feature a friendship performance by Raychel BAND (れいちぇるバンド), and special opening acts GLARD (ex-VAGERKE) and DECIDE (produced by Ray).
So what do you think?! Personally, I'm super excited. I just wish we could see this event!! Let's pray for a live DVD... and that SchwarzVrain and Raychel BAND will become real bands!!
Yesterday, FUTURISM・BOYZ announced that they will hold a oneman live in September! ...And today, that oneman has already sold out!! Nice job F・B~
F・B will hold their oneman Nara FES!!! on September 8th in their hometown of Nara. The band will play in a local studio, so attendance to the oneman will be limited. Furthermore, the band will appear without makeup/costumes (much like their recent threeman).
After the oneman, the band will hold a “night party” in the same building. There will be no alcohol, so underage fans are welcome. Furthermore, everyone is encouraged to bring a meal from home. Eat and chat with the members and make memories of summer together!
As previously mentioned, UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's treasure book ARCHIVES 2003~2013 includes a ticket to a special launch event. Since it was originally announced, the event has changed venues, and additional details have been released:
The event (which will still be held on June 29th at 14:30 JST) will now be held at Rozetta (across the street from Shinsaibashi FANJ-twice), rather than Shinsaibashi food & bar Beginning as was initially announced.
The event will feature talk sessions, Q&A, games with prizes, and more. UNDER CODE is currently asking for question submissions for the Q&A section (email with title 「インストアイベント」 to firstname.lastname@example.org). And, of course, goods will be sold during the event, with those who spend 4,000 yen being allowed to participate in satsueikai.
The following goods will be sold at the event:
cheki (set of 2)
LIN: 「Obscure Ideal」, 「Reflect of Killing Fleur」, AWAKING FROM -INDEPENDENT “MAZE”-
Megaromania: Megaromania (TYPE A/B/C), Artistical Glint TYPE A, Propaganda (TYPE A/B)
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION announced the first part of its web shop's last special fair today (I detailed the “0th part” in the previous post). For LAST FAIR PART:1, the web shop has updated with tons of special new items―mostly bootleg live DVDs―and has announced a very special privilege campaign!
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION “treasure book” ARCHIVES 2003~2013 is set to be released on June 20, and certain ex-members of the label have decided to hold a special event to celebrate it!
The special event will be held on June 29, 2013, at Shinsaibashi food & bar Beginning, and tickets will be included with purchases of the Treasure Book (otherwise, tickets can also be obtained by spending 3,000 yen on UCP goods from June 20 through June 29 at Amemura PureSound). The event will include special talks, quizzes and games with presents, and more. And best of all, certain members of LIN, Megaromania, NEGA, FUTURISM・BOYZ, and REALies will participate!
If you're in Japan and plan on attending, more information can be found here.
FUTURISM・BOYZ have announced their first post-UNDER CODE live. The band will participate in a non-VK threeman, at which they will play with no makeup/costumes! They invite anyone interested in a more “adult” FUTURISM・BOYZ to check out the live on June 23rd.
By the way, they're spelling their name “FUTURISM★BOYZ” for this live. I'm not sure if that's a permanent name change, or name only for “adult” version, or what...
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has closed・・・ In memorial of 10 years of this legendary and unorthodox label, a new bible will be released: ARCHIVES 2003~2013. Furthermore, this timeless collector's item will include UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's last live DVD!!
UNDER CODE's “treasure book” is called ARCHIVES 2003~2013 and will be released on June 20th, 2013, through the label's official web shop. The book will collect 128 full color pages, and will cost 12,600 yen. The book will feature 6 major sections, but will also include a two-point special privilege, as well as a web shop limited privilege:

KISAKI has finally revealed the “UNDER CODE PRODUCTION LAST COLLABORATION”... It's a special collaboration unit band, 「D・N・A」 which will appear on a new tribute to hide omnibus!!
As part of hide anniversary project ROCKET DIVE 2003-2014 (which celebrates the 15th anniversary of his passing, 20th anniversary of his musical activities, and 50th birthday), his tribute album series hide TRIBUTE SPIRITS has been expanded. Throughout these two years, 6 more entries to the series will be released―starting with two visual kei entries, hide TRIBUTE Ⅱ -Visual SPIRITS- and hide TRIBUTE Ⅲ -Visual SPIRITS-.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION special collaboration unit 「D・N・A」 will appear in the second omnibus, covering hide's Junk Story. The lineup of the unit is unknown, but the photoshoot featured all vocalists of UNDER CODE's currently-active bands, plus KISAKI―so, we can assume those people will be involved.
hide TRIBUTE Ⅱ -Visual SPIRITS- will be released on July 1st, 2013. Tracklist is below:
KISAKI has been dropping hints about “UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's last collaboration.” Although it's unclear what the collaboration is, we have the following information:
It involves the vocalists of all current UNDER CODE bands―they just did a photoshoot (see above) with KISAKI specifically for the collaboration.
It probably involves music―KISAKI's been in the studio working on arrangement.
It seems to have been decided at the last minute―KISAKI said that he's been in the studio for hours, under intense pressure, trying to finish by the upcoming deadline.
My guess is a last collaboration song, maybe something like KISAKI did with Wataru, RIKU, and Jui in 2007 when 12012, Phantasmagoria, and VIDOLL were graduating from the label (...well, were planning to, anyway). What do you think? Whatever the last collaboration is, we'll find out on May 3rd, when it's announced at UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's last live.
2013-04-30 edit: A special photoset of the collaboration photos (seen above) will be sold at UNDER CODE's dissolution event for 2,000 yen. Cheki from the photoshoot will also be sold, in pairs, for 1,000 yen.
UNDER CODE artists have been featured in a lot of omnibuses lately. First, there's the last memorial omnibus, High Style Paradox 2003~2013, which features all UCP artists. Second, Megaromania and LIN will participate in a special omnibus compiled by PENICILLIN guitarist Chisato (to which LIN will contribute a new song). And finally, sever UNDER CODE bands have been featured in a digital compilation series called VISUAL☆INVASION. Details for all are below:
KISAKI will release a special lucky bag to celebrate his 20th year of band activity! Furthermore, he has decided on a spur-of-the-moment birthday party, to be held shortly after his 20th anniversary memorial live.
KISAKI's lucky bag will include a great number of rare items (music, goods, etc.) of his successive bands from throughout his 20 year history. Furthermore, the purchase privilege is 1 cheki, and 2 photos (of 5 possible) from KISAKI's mysterious early bands (when he was only 18~20 years old!). The bag is available, in extremely limited quantities, for 3,675 yen through the official web shop.
Furthermore, KISAKI has decided on a spur-of-the-moment birthday party, to be held late on March 10th at Shinsaibashi soma, shortly after his 20th anniversary memorial live at Osaka BIG CAT earlier that day. KISAKI will appear along with his hand-picked “Chikasen's most interesting”―Ray (NEGA), KANATA (LIN), KEETO (Dali), CO- & YUKIHIRO (FUTURISM・BOYZ)―and will spend the night comfortably celebrating (no performances will take place) with attendees.
Tickets to the party are available now through the official web shop for 6,000 yen. Only an extremely limited number of attendees will be allowed, and only those 20-years-old or older will be allowed to enter!
FUTURISM・BOYZ has announced its [very sparse] activity for 2013. The band will hold a oneman show in April, and will release a live-limited single sometime in March (all other details about the release are currently unknown).
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced that, in collaboration with SHOXX, it will release its 10th anniversary memorial last omnibus, High Style Paradox 2003~2013. The mail-order-limited omnibus will be released in March, and will feature all significant bands (32 in total) signed to UNDER CODE PRODUCTION throughout its 10 years of activity.
Those who purchase the omnibus before February 28th will receive a special 24 month calendar.
Because the omnibus is mail-order-limited through SHOXX, it will not be available to overseas customers via usual means. However, I organize a group order as soon as I find a viable shopping service—expect a separate with details.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced its 10th anniversary last tour: Nihon Seiatsu FINAL -since 2003~2013- (日本制圧FINAL -since 2003~2013-). The tour will take place from March 1st through May 3rd, after which UNDER CODE will dismantle.
At today's UNDER CODE PRODUCTION last New Year countdown event (which was SOLD OUT, by the way!), several of the label's last lives were announced. First up: the last UNDER CODE birthday event will celebrate the birthdays of LIN drummer REIYA and NEGA bassist Ray!
Pretty ambitious of the boys to play in every session band!! Sounds like an awesome event.
As part of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's 10th anniversary special events, a special live will be held to commemorate KISAKI's 20 years (!!) of legendary band activity. UNDER CODE's biggest bands will appear at the event, and will each play 2 cover songs from KISAKI's bands.
By the way, this is labeled the “Chikasen (UNDER CODE) version”. I wonder if there will be a Matina version announced later??
Today, more information about Arc's one day revival has been released! It seems that PERESTROIKA will hold a one day revival at the event as well, and special session bands Zaidan Houjin Kurojuuji (罪団法人黒十字) and 可菜水木 (Kanamizuki) will also appear.
The memorial event for ex-HEISEI ISHIN (平成維新) vocalist Taku (拓), who passed away two years ago, was just held on December 10th. It seems that the event was memorable and went really well. I thought I'd share the setlists and a few pictures from the event, just as a little reminder of Taku (whose birthday will be tomorrow, December 13th!).
※ N@H is the “second stage” of HEISEI ISHIN, formed by members YUKKIE (ユッキー) and RAI (ライ). They're quite good, and enjoying success right now! 01. Prism. (HEISEI ISHIN cover)
※ Oneness is the new band of ex-Anjyu' (former band of HEISEI ISHIN bassist yoshi) vocalist JUKI (ジュキ). This was their first live! 01. IKASAMA Speakers (イカサマSpeakers)

※ NEGA was a label-mate of HEISEI ISHIN. 01. Kakera (破片) (HEISEI ISHIN cover)
Enya Tomoyuki (塩谷 朋之)
※ He's a member of 12012, which was a label-mate of HEISEI ISHIN. He performed as a solo project, but was backed on guitar and drums by members of JILLED RAY (the drummer of which was in Taku's first band). 01. Endless voyage (HEISEI ISHIN cover)
HEISEI ISHIN (平成維新)
※ The 4 members appeared in HEISEI ISHIN's last costumes (from the REVOLUTIONS era), along with a large picture of Taku as the backdrop. For most songs, they played with Taku's recording―but in the middle, Taku's brother Kinari (生成) provided vocals for a few songs!! According to the members, his vocals and physical movements were strikingly similar. 01. THE BUTTERFLY

FUTURISM・BOYZ have debuted a new look! Check it out above and share your thoughts in the comments.
The band has also announced that they'll be producing new F・B towels and F・B pillcases. The band is currently looking for drawn representations of the members to appear on those new goods. If you have artistic talent, give it a shot by messaging FUTURISM・BOYZ at their Ameblo with a link to your drawings of the members. Submissions will be accepted until December 15th.
FUTURISM・BOYZ drummer 俊 (Shun) has announced that Arc (ex-band of all F・BOYZ members) will hold a one day revival on February 9th!!
Their revival will take place on February 9th at 心斋桥 (Shinsaibashi) VARON, as part of Arc's sponsored event 恶ガキ达のSaturday Night Fever☆!!复活特别编!! (Warugakitachi no Saturday Night Fever☆!! Fukkatsu Tokubetsuhen!!). Further details TBA.
Shun also addressed the question on everybody's mind: “Why now? How can it be Arc without Toshiya?” (bassist of Arc, now known as BB, who left FUTURISM・BOYZ, and won't appear at the event) His answer is that, even though it's not the same Arc that the fans loved, they wanted to do this revival anyway, to stand as Arc one last time during UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's closure.
UNDER CODE has hastily decided to hold another edition of CLUB★地下线 (CLUB★Chikasen) immediately after its New Year countdown live. At the event, all UNDER CODE band members (except from Cu[be]) and 120 lucky attendees will drink and have fun!
As I previously mentioned, HEISEI ISHIN (平成维新) will revive for one day in memorial of vocalist Taku's death in 2010. Full details of the live have since been revealed:
The live is sponsored by HEISEI ISHIN (平成维新) with support by UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. In addition to HEISEI ISHIN and its continuation N@H, some old colleagues of Taku from UNDER CODE PRODUCTION will appear: FUTURISM・BOYZ, CARAT (カラット) (ex-ClearVeil), and Enya Tomoyuki (塩谷 朋之) (12012).
According to HEISEI ISHIN bassist yoshi, this will be the band's last revival.
As of August 9th, bassist BB is no longer a member of FUTURISM・BOYZ. His departure is sudden and was unexpected, even to the other members of the band―it seems that he just suddenly decided to quit music, for reasons unclear.
For now, the other members have decided to continue. For their scheduled live on August 14th, they will appear as a three-person unit. For the session live which BB was scheduled to appear at on August 17th, guitarist YUKIHIRO will take his place.
It's very sad, considering that those four people have been together since forming Arc. The members say that there's still a spot for BB if he decides to return.
[Update] Guitarist YUKIHIRO just posted about the situation in his blog:
Apparently, BB had first mentioned wanting to leave the band in July. He and the other F・BOYZ members had several meetings about it with KISAKI, and through those talks, BB decided not to leave. ―Until August 9th, when he suddenly announced that he was leaving, with no further discussion.
(This is unrelated, but I found it interesting: it seems that FUTURISM・BOYZ was originally intended to be a five-member band. At the last minute, the fifth member changed his mind, and so the band was left with the exact same lineup as Arc. Now that BB is leaving, it seems that FUTURISM・BOYZ will be a three-member band... quite a change from the beginning intentions!)
In 2007, UNDER CODE PRODUCTION sponsored a “Tribute to Phantasmagoria” tour at which all bands payed homage to Phantasmagoria. It has since become tradition for the label to host an annual “Tribute to Phantasmagoria” memorial live on the band's disbandment anniversary. And this tradition continues in 2012!
FUTURISM・BOYZ has been featured in the FOOL'S MATE × VISUNAVI power push series. What does that mean for us? Samples of their upcoming single!! And a very special video of a day in the life of the F・BOYZ.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION recently announced an additional event to its “RIOT GALE of NINE YEARS” live series, which celebrates its 9th anniversary.
The new event is called 江坂遊戯 (Esaka Yuugi; Esaka Games) and will be divided into two parts: the first part featuring most of UNDER CODE's bands, and the second part featuring session bands made up of those members.
Tickets are on sale now: a regular ticket (good for one part of the live only) can be purchased for 3,150 yen through the normal venues; but a special picture ticket, which is good for both parts of the live, can be purchased exclusively through the official web shop for 5,500 yen. Tickets #1 ~ #100 were initially sold at the web shop, but those immediately sold out, so tickets #101 ~ #200 have now been added.
FUTURISM・BOYZ have revealed a new look and a new release along with it!
The new release is a maxi-single called 自分病 (Jibunbyou) and it will be released in April in one type. The official web shop privilege, along with a slightly earlier ship date, is a special DVD and signed cheki of the member of your choice. And of course, the band will embark on the 自分病ツアー (Jibunbyou TOUR) from March 21st through June 10th.
The official UNDER CODE PRODUCTION YouTube page has been updated with a CM from FUTURISM・BOYZ. (It features a clip from the PV that you can only get as an application present after buying both types of their mini-album!) Check it out:
So what do you think? I really like the set and directing, but I'm still unsure about the song—kinda like it, kinda don't. But I'm still buying the mini-album for sure—I think the “weirdness” I hear is just the growing pain of switching to a new style.
At the UNDER CODE OHP, a sample from the upcoming FUTURISM・BOYZ mini-album has been uploaded. The sample is a medly of all songs from the mini, so you can get a real feel of the band's sound. ⇒ FUTURISM・BOYZ sample medly
Personally, although it's similar to Arc, I can definitely hear a difference—FUTURISM・BOYZ seems to have a harder, but sparser sound. Whether or not that's a good thing will have to wait until the mini-album is actually released.
But what do you think? Has this influenced you to buy/not buy their mini-album?
As I mentioned in the pre-announcement details post, FUTURISM・BOYZ already has two sponsored event tours planned to celebrate the release of their first mini-album. The tours are called 存在目標ツアー (Sonzai Mokuhyou TOUR) Vol:1 and Vol:2, respectively, and will center on Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. An unspecified present will be freely distributed at each stop on the tour; present A during Vol:1 and present B during Vol:2.
Also, FUTURISM・BOYZ have been “hastily added” to the lineup for the 2011 Phantasmagoria memorial tribute night (see the original post about that). I assume they're the secret guest that was to be announced on August 1st, but then “hastily added” is kind of a lie, isn't it?—whatever, I won't argue with UNDER CODE's logic~
It's not as overboard as debuting with a bunch of oneman shows, but having two three-city sponsored event tours is a pretty ballsy move for a new band. (I suppose it also shows that they don't have many songs written and ready to go.) Hopefully it pays off for them!
I'm hoping to be able to post lineup/pictures sometime tomorrow, so cross your fingers for that!
New band FUTURISM・BOYZ has already decided their first release: a mini-album, in two types!
The mini-album is called New period and will be released on 2011-09-28. It will feature five songs plus a bonus track, with the bonus track differing between the two types. Both types will include an application form; the forms from both types can be mailed in to apply for a DVD containing the band's first PV. Furthermore, the privilege for buying both types from the official web shop is a making of DVD of that PV (and an early shipping date of 2011-08-25).

I can't help but be excited for this release! Hopefully I'll be even more excited once the members are announced, hahaha. Well, do any of you already plan to buy FUTURISM・BOYZ' mini-album?
