The band announced on their twitter that they will disband after their live in Shibuya Club Asia on September 29. It doesn't come as a surprise since they've been rather quiet and have only released collaboration singles with other bands. Other than that, their live schedule is packed up until that time and they have recently started touring alongside REVINE.
Let's hope this means Z will be fully devoting his activities to Moi dix Mois and getting that goddamn album out already. 🙏
Chinese visual-kei band, Lilith, have announced that they will disband after their live at Shanghai Yuyintang on April 23.
Obviously, this is a big blow to the country's visual-kei scene, which was practically nonexistent when guitarist Lin first formed the band. However, bands like Scarlet Horizon are still around, so there's a plus. As Lin details in his blog, he says that member differences contributed to their decision to disband, which trace all the way back to last October. He also details how he was able to achieve his dream of forming a band in China, thus merging China and Japan together, and talks about his future as a musician. Luckily he doesn't plan to retire as he's obviously also part of Affective Synergy. 👌
AVANCHICK has suddenly announced that they intend to disband in Autumn 2017.
The members have already posted statements about it, but they're mostly inconsequential--the closest thing to a reason for the disbandment is NOAH's statement that there's a “gap” between his goals and the reality of the band's activities so far.
The band's last live will be held somewhere in Tokyo (東京), but further details are TBA.
A statement like NOAH's would normally imply (in my opinion) that the band isn't making enough money. That said, they just started their second oneman tour, and it runs until April, so it seems a bit early to decide whether it's a “failure” or not... And they'd just finished their first oneman tour, and held a successful oneman at BLITZ--which was filmed, meaning they have a future live DVD to collect some cash with. If I recall correctly, NOAH was also recently talking about trying to tour overseas.
Long story short, that's not the profile of a band who's going to disband soon (and who announces a disbandment 9 months early anyway?).
In my opinion, there are 3 possibilities:
NOAH has been headhunted for some higher-profile project (I did get the feeling, from the members' comments, NOAH seemed the least affected).
They really were riding on money from ROCKSTAR RECORDS bands, and they don't want to continue now that funds have dried up (but if that were the case, why wouldn't they disband much sooner?).
All members will return under a new name or something (the members' comments don't seem optimistic enough, imo, but who knows?).
Of course, all of the above is just conjecture. What do you think?
This is the label's first tweet since mid-May, which only adds to many groups signed to the label's claim that it did very little to promote them. The last remaining artist with the label, Enka-kashu Takashi, also tweeted that he is no longer affiliated RR.
Their official activity period was from July 4th, 2015, until December 31st, 2016.
KARMA=SHENJING continues their limited revival with a new look and new release!
The new CD is a three-track single called Shenjing (神景), and will be sold exclusively at their 2017-02-11 live at club MERCURY. Each copy will include a signed member photograph or unsigned group photograph. Other details (price, tracklist) are TBA.
Since then, more details on his arrest have now poured in to national news. According to Sankei WEST, TAKAHIRO was arrested for attempting to scam a 76 year old woman out of 6 million yen (~500,000 US dollars). He confessed to the crime and admitted that he was getting the money for the band.
Not surprisingly, the band ended up firing TAKAHIRO altogether, and another woman, who revealed herself to be TAKAHIRO's sister, would then apologize on Twitter on behalf of her brother; her account was then quickly deleted afterwards.
FAZ drummer TAKAHIRO (a.k.a. Hiyoka (卑妖華), ex-WERKMARE) has been arrested, and the band will indefinitely pause activities in consequence.
Previously, TAKAHIRO had missed the band's 2016-11-28 performance at SHIBUYA-REX. At the time, the band confirmed with one of his acquaintances that he was “safe,” but they [wrongly] assumed that he was just sick--in reality, he had already been arrested.
The reason for TAKAHIRO's arrest is unknown.
FAZ has had other trouble in recent months:
Around October, vocalist ToshiA began experiencing strange foot pain, but was allowed by his doctor to continue performing. However, due to his condition worsening, ToshiA was ordered to stop performing on November 1st. As such, the band performed without a vocalist for the remainder of the month, and indefinitely postponed the planned release of parts 4 and 5 of their 5-consecutive-month release campaign (a single and mini-album, respectively).
On November 20th, ToshiA revealed that he'd been diagnosed with ankylosin spondylitis (chronic inflammation of certain joints, sometimes severe). He was therefore ordered to undergo inpatient treatment at a hospital, which is where he's been ever since.
Yesterday, while still in the hospital, ToshiA received news that TAKAHIRO had actually been arrested, and so he made the decision to indefinitely pause FAZ's activities.
FAZ has five shows scheduled for upcoming months, and they still plan to perform, albeit with only 3 members (unless ToshiA is ok'd to return). Their last live will be on February 6th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU, and then they'll indefinitely pause activities.
In his personal comment, guitarist SHINYA says that they will definitely return in some form, but the other members don't seem as confident.
No word has been given about their planned single and mini-album release (which had already been delayed due to ToshiA's illness), but I wouldn't be surprised if they were cancelled altogether.
Since I never formally introduced them here, here's a bit about the band's lineage:
In 1999, vocalist ToshiA formed Fazism, which was signed to indie label Soleil--the same label under which the fledgling MIRAGE had formed. When MIRAGE bassist/leader KISAKI formed his own label, Matina, Fazism followed. (Matina actually started as a sublabel of Soleil, and then became independent.)
Soon after, Fazism gained an additional member and changed its name to Philia. The following year, vocalist ToshiA formed his own Sapporo (札幌)-based Matina sublabel, STORM, to which -I's- and allure idea were signed. Eventually, though, Matina dissolved, STORM dissolved, and Philia disbanded.
Cut to summer 2012, and original Fazism members ToshiA, SHINYA, and KATSUHISA formed the new band FAZ. Thus, FAZ is, in essence, the “second part” (or third!) of Fazism--their early releases even contain some Fazism covers!
Hopefully they'll continue in some form, as guitarist SHINYA says they will.
On 2017-03-31, vocalist Shiki (式) will secede and GIGAMOUS will pause activities.
The band will hold their current-lineup last oneman tour, FINAL GIGA PARTY ROCK SHOW!!!!, from 2017-03-07, culminating with a 500-person-limited oneman, GIGAren 4 REVENGE (ギガ連4リベンジ), on March 31 at Shinjuku (新宿) ReNY.
Also in March, the band will release their first live DVD, which was recorded at their 2016-10-10 live. Further details TBA.
remembrance and Crucifixion performed at an event on 2016-11-05.
The event, The first half is over, was held at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) JUZA in celebration of 10 years of band activity for drummer Jura (樹蘭) [ex-GRiST, remembrance, JOKER, etc.].
For those who don't remember, remembrance was formed by ex-Vior gloire vocalist shall (シャル), shortly before he replaced CO- as the vocalist of FUTURISM・BOYZ.
Although the band never planned to be very active, their activity was lessened even more by shall's accident in August 2015: while crossing a crosswalk, a sleepy driver struck him. He suffered injuries all along his left side, especially in his shoulder area (for which he had to attend rehab for several days each week, for several months).
shall has been fairly inactive since then, so it's nice to see that remembrance is playing again.
Today in heartwarming news: HEISEI ISHIN bassist/leader Yoshi (善) has announced that his session band--featuring several UNDER CODE PRODUCTION alumni--will perform at the December 9th edition of the Taku (拓) memorial event.
Yoshifumi BAND (よしふみバンド)
V. CO- [ex-FUTURISM・BOYZ]
V. Sanada Ren (真田 廉) [ex-Dali, etc.]
V. JUKI (ジュキ) [ex-Anjyu', etc.]

G. JILL [ex-HEISEI ISHIN]
B. Yoshi (善) [ex-HEISEI ISHIN]
D. Shun (俊) [FUTURISM・BOYZ, etc.]
Such a nostalgic lineup ;__;
By the way, Yoshifumi BAND also appeared at the 2015 edition of the same event.
Amidst all of the current ROCKSTAR RECORDS drama (with several bands leaving the label, and the rest seemingly forced to disband), some pretty cool results are surfacing. One of which is a revival show for former Eternal band チェリー (Cherry)!
Cherry were a short lived band formed in 2002, presumably right at the end of Matina's activity period. They ultimately disbanded in 2004, only released (possibly) one official single, and participated on the KALEIDOSCOPE omnibus.
The band will revive on January 17th, at Kiryu's (the vocalist currently in ベティ(BETTY)) birthday live and will also distribute a CD that was supposed to be released in 2004 but ended up getting canceled.
Kiryu posted a teaser video for the event on his Twitter page.
Cherry's last known lineup was:
Vocals: 綺流 (Kiryu) (→ ART → ROZA-LIA(KIRYU) → チェリー → ヴィガル! (VIGAL!) → BLACK JACK(綺流) → 希龍PROJECT (Kiryu Project) (name written as 希龍) → ベティ)
Guitar: ゆま (Yuma) (→ チェリー → パレット (PALLET))
Guitar: だぁすけ (Daasuke) (→ Carriy → チェリー)
Bass: 憂乃 (Yuuno) (→ Ephialts → チェリー(憂乃) → パレット(PALLET as ゆうの (Yuuno)) → ユダ (YUDA as ゆうの (Yuuno)) → GELLONIMO(Support as 憂乃))
Drums: 冰伽 (→ Halcyon → チェリー → Under → BLACK JACK)
Thank you to Uglymouth for putting all of this together (◕ᴗ◕✿)
Mischievous has announced that they will indefinitely pause activities after their 2017-01-23 sponsored event at Osaka (大阪) LIVEHOUSE D'.
Although the band didn't mention this in their official announcement, guitarist Yuho (優歩) has revealed that he'll secede on the same day. He's apparently wanted to leave for a long time (having originally told the members after their September 23 oneman), due to feeling that Mischievous had reached their "peak."
For now, the band will continue with their schedule as planned. It's unclear at this time whether they'll actually return.
IJUIN AKIROW (伊集院 明朗) has released his best album, ALL TIME BEST.
AKIROW is probably best known as the vocalist of proto-visual metal band ALUCARD, who released their only album, LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT, through a label called HAUNTED HOUSE RECORDS in 1992. (This is the same label which released Chuuzetsu (中絶) by a little-known band called KUROYUME (黒夢), by the way...)
His next band was F.F. ("FLASH FORWARD") in the late 90s, which he left fairly quickly (the band gaining a new vocalist and renaming to 13-thirteen-). His next project was DJ.FLANKENSTEIN, which became FLESH FOR FLANKENSTEIN (also known as F.F.F), and then stopped activities.
In 2009, FLESH FOR FLANKENSTEIN held a time-limited revival under HAUNTED HOUSE RECORDS, which had been revived as a sublabel under UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. (Hence the tenuous connection to UCP, and the reason why I'm talking about this at all.) The band held one live and released a "super best album," but were otherwise inactive for the remainder of UCP's existence.
In 2015, HAUNTED HOUSE once again rose from the ashes to sponsor lives and releases from other proto-visual metal bands like JUSTY-NASTY and DEAD END. As of October 2016, the label is still active.
[UNDER CODE PRODUCTION clearly had nothing to do with this second revival (UCP closed in 2013), but I can't help but wonder if KISAKI had some involvement, as LIN performed at one of their events, and KISAKI had sold some of the labels' new goods... And KACCHIN (カッチン)--owner of BAR PARADOX and longtime friend of KISAKI--often participates in the label's lives.]
Which brings us to today:
IJUIN AKIROW performed with his new session, F.F.F.F.F, on October 17 at HAUNTED HOUSE Vol.6 at aube Shibuya. On the same day, he released his "super all time best" album, ALL TIME BEST, through HAUNTED HOUSE.
The FLESH FOR FLANKENSTEIN side compiles a large number of songs, including: an unpublished duet with the now-deceased AI Takano (アイ 高野); two songs featuring KIYOHARU (清春) [KUROYUME (黒夢)]; and a track featuring Tetsu Nakano (高野晢) [ex-MALICE MIZER, etc.]. It also features written comments from KIYOHARU, Sakurai Atsushi (櫻井 敦司) [BUCK TICK], Morishige Juichi (森重 樹一) [ZIGGY], MORRIE [DEAD END], Fujisaki Kenichi (藤崎 賢一) [JUSTY-NASTY], and Kawamura Ryuuichi (河村 隆一) [LUNA SEA].
Meanwhile, the F.F. side features 3 songs produced by CHU-YA [ex-ALLERGY, etc.], and unpublished demos.
The 2-disc album costs 3,240 yen and is available at lives and via mail-order, and at PureSound beginning on 2016-11-16.
Details have been released for the Taku (拓) memorial event: HEISEI ISHIN, PERESTROIKA, and N@H will hold one-day revivals!
The event will be held over two days: Heisei revolution party 2016 -Osakahen- (平成revolution party 2016 -大阪編-) on 2016-12-09 at Osaka (大阪) amHALL, and Heisei revolution party 2016 -Tokyohen- (平成revolution party 2016 -東京編-) on 2016-12-13 at Takadanobaba (高田馬場) AREA.
HEISEI ISHIN will perform on the first day, while PERESTROIKA will perform on the second. N@H (“HEISEI ISHIN's second chapter”) will appear on both days.
And of course, several other bands related to HEISEI ISHIN/UCP will appear:
GIGAMOUS (ex-HEISEI ISHIN members' band)
More (ex-12012 member's band)
THE BLACK SWAN (ex-NEGA member's band)
貘-baku- (ex-Hanashounen BADDIES [花少年バディーズ], who had a coupling tour with HEISEI ISHIN)
mitsu (ex-NEU, who had a twoman with HEISEI ISHIN)
Some girl named Kaworu★ (かをる★) will also appear, but I'm not sure how she's related to HEISEI ISHIN. Anyone know?
For anyone unaware, HEISEI ISHIN was a band signed to UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. They eventually seceded from the label, and it was rumored that they were going to go major. However, plans fell through, and the band announced that they would disband soon after. (Later, it came out that the band had planned to reform after disbandment, with N@H being a potential name for the new band.)
Before their final disbandment live, vocalist Taku committed suicide. Events in his memory have been held in many years since then.
Yayy! In celebration of the birthday of Lucifer's underground guitarist Maki (真稀), his previous bands UNDEAD, hurts, and Lamina will hold a one-day revival!
The bands will perform at the sponsored event, Lucifer's underground Maki Birthday party (Lucifer's underground 真稀 Birthday party), on 2016-12-12 at HOLIDAY NEXT NAGOYA. Aside from hurts, Lamina, UNDEAD, and Lucifer's underground, other bands at the live are TBA.
hurts will perform with their original 4 members, plus Lucifer's underground bassist Yuuri (憂里). Maki was the bassist for hurts, but I believe he'll act as guitarist this time.

Maki tweeted that, other than Yuuri and Heidi, the bands otherwise feature the complete original lineups. I wonder, tho, if guitarist toki [ex-UNDEAD~etc., Lucifer's underground] will perform with them―he wasn't an original member, but joined later and will be at the event, so... I also wonder if anyone will act as bassist, as their original lineup lacked one.

Lucifer's underground will participate in a threeman, Lamentation of “Canvas” -Scene 10-, on 2016-10-28 at IMAIKE CLUB 3STAR with Lament. and somali.
In a surprising move, Devil Kitty have just announced that they have departed from their label, ROCKSTAR RECORDS, on October 3rd.
Fortunately, the band is expected to continue their activities as they are still doing their free oneman tour until the tour final in December. However, they're not the first band to go...bands like THE EGOIST, Dear (who actually disbanded earlier this year), and more recently, MEARY, have already departed from the troubled label; because of this, AVANCHICK's future looks uncertain. Apparently, the label is going through financial troubles as owner Yayoi is close to being broke.
Here's to hoping that things turn out well for him and ROCKSTAR.
According to a 2ch source (whose credibility should be taken with a grain of salt), there is growing animosity between Yayoi and the ROCKSTAR bands. Basically, Yayoi tricked the bands into thinking he had lots of money, which would have been enough for the label to support them, but in actuality, he's broke af, meaning he's supposedly homeless and is actually staying with friends (where the hell is his wife?!). That means the bands themselves were paying expenses to the label, including Kiryu from BETTY (who happened to look up to Yayoi), without getting paid back by Yayoi. Because of these expenses, bands were not able to record at the studio, which makes sense seeing that these bands have almost no releases whatsoever, especially BETTY.
The drama has now escalated to the point where Yuuga (Devil Kitty) is also frustrated with his ex-bandmate, and has apparently unfollowed him on twitter (gasp). He also gives praise to the ROCKSTAR bands, while also noticeably leaving out AVANCHICK...
Members of the ex-ROCKSTAR bands are starting to speak out against Yayoi as well, with Rouis from THE EGOIST claiming that he was threatened to get beat up by Yayoi if he ever said his band was removed from the label, and Toki from MEARY had apparently made a threat towards Yayoi, only masking them under a cleverly written tweet (the tweet was deleted, but quickly caught by a tanuki account; the apparent death threat is highlighted in red, basically saying "Yayoi, die"):
In contrast to rumors saying that AVANCHICK will stay loyal, NOAH from AVANCHICK had also apparently voiced his displeasure with the label, allegedly stating in a twitcast that he'd like to leave too. Again, take it with a grain of salt.
Who knows what's going on at this point...maybe this label won't last much longer.
TLDR: KISAKI was caught in a scandal today, and seems to have abruptly retired as a result... Full details, as I understand them, follow:
This morning, a Tanuki-related Twitter account posted screenshots of KISAKI contacting them via direct message. In the DMs, KISAKI shared photos of a text conversation between ex-MIRAGE guitarist YAYOI and a female, in which he asked her for sex. The DMs were dated September 18th, implying that KISAKI acquired the photos on the same day that he performed with YAYOI at the GLAM POP WORLD event.
Some time later, KISAKI sent another DM to the Tanuki Twitter account, this time with a photo of ex-Megaromania ~ LIN vocalist SUI passed out drunk, with vomit coming out of his mouth. The unbecoming photo was supposed to ensure that the Tanuki Twitter account wouldn't expose KISAKI's previous action.
Unsurprisingly, the SUI “bargaining chip” didn't stop the Twitter account from exposing KISAKI: on September 26th, details of the DMs were leaked to Tanuki.
That same morning, KISAKI's account was locked, and a message appeared saying “This Twitter was takeover,” implying that the account had been hacked.
After “regaining” access a short time later, KISAKI messaged the Tanuki Twitter account again, this time explaining that his own account had been hacked, and that he didn't mean for the messages about YAYOI/SUI to be sent. He pleaded with the account to take down its evidence of KISAKI's previous messages, and even said that police were being involved.
After a bit of playing with KISAKI's emotions, the Tanuki Twitter account agreed.
On the morning of September 27th, KISAKI tweeted an apology over the trouble he'd caused, and promised to do better from now on.
Unsatisfied with the vague, unspecific apology, the Tanuki Twitter account reneged on its agreement and began sharing screenshots of all its DMs with KISAKI. These proved that he had sent the photos of YAYOI/SUI to the account.
The screenshots were deleted mere minutes later, but the scandal had already easily spread through Twitter. “KISAKI” even trending at #7 for a brief time.
After being completely exposed, KISAKI tweeted another apology. This time, he said he had contacted the individuals involved and apologized directly. He said that what he'd done was inexcusable, and, as punishment to himself, would not return to the stage.
That is to say, if he stays true to the tweet, KISAKI will never perform again.
KISAKI PROJECT feat.Hitomi was scheduled to perform at the December 16th debut live of Lack-co., but KISAKI has already called Rame (ex-VIDOLL bassist who runs record label GLK MUSIC, which is sponsoring the live) and asked to cancel it.
Rame tweeted that he wants the live to be held despite the scandal, but that he was unable to convince KISAKI to change his mind. He says he'll continue to try to talk to KISAKI, whose “mental state seems very unstable right now.”
Frankly, KISAKI is not only incredibly childish to have shared the pictures of YAYOI/SUI, but he's also incredibly stupid for having done it from his own account. That being said, I personally don't find his actions to be so reprehensible as to justify his abrupt retirement. He should perhaps lose YAYOI and SUI as friends, and he should definitely remedy his behavior, but to end his career over such a childish scandal is too much.
As a fan, it's incredibly frustrating to see him do stupid things, get caught, and then essentially punish those who stick around. We know he does bad things, but we just want music. These dramatics aren't going to convince those who dislike him to forgive him, so why bother? If I had my way, he would sincerely apologize for his behavior and move on, instead of trying to hide by disbanding/retiring every time a scandal is exposed. But maybe that's just the Japanese way?
Given KISAKI's age, the failure of LIN, and now this scandal, I really wouldn't be surprised if he retires for real this time... And even if he does return, this scandal will surely mean that we'll be waiting many extra months...
I sincerely hope that his peers and [remaining] fans are able to convince to come back―soon.
2016-09-28: A supposed lawyer tweeted to KISAKI and claimed that he was representing SUI and YAYOI in a lawsuit. The company that the man claimed to work for is real, but their website had a message warning that someone had been impersonating their lawyers. The Twitter account was later found (obviously) to be a scam by a bangya.
2016-09-28: Rame made two more tweets about the situation. They seem to imply that he'd since seen more evidence of KISAKI's scandal, but that he was still willing to allow the live to take place if KISAKI changed his mind.
2016-09-28: The vocalist of Ryuketsu BLIZZARD tweeted about the incident, seemingly finding it hilarious. It's unclear if he still has a relationship with KISAKI, since finding that Ryuketsu BLIZZARD footage was being sold at auction in the past.
2016-09-29: KISAKI deleted his auction account.
2016-10-01: Several Japanese users tweeted to KISAKI that he should kill/torture himself, along with suggestions how.
2016-10-02: A daily horoscope was tweeted from KISAKI's account. (Some users thought this meant that his account had truly been hacked, but in fact he'd signed up for the Twimaker horoscope service several years ago.) Incidentally, one of the characters in the tweet could be read as "revival," so some users joked that he was announcing his return.
2016-10-03: The horoscope tweet was deleted, which means that KISAKI had logged into his account (eg. first evidence that KISAKI is "ok").
2016-10-05: KISAKI deleted his latest blog entry, in which he had mentioned having a meeting and feeling excitement for future activities. He had also mentioned receiving Gargoyle and MEJIBRAY releases. It's unclear why this particular entry was deleted, and all other entries seem to be in tact. (Perhaps one of the bands' companies did not want to be associated with him? Or perhaps he wanted to delete any reference to future activity, which is now cancelled?)
2016-10-06: KISAKI's Instagram account was deleted.
The Tanuki thread about KISAKI is still incredibly active (up to page 16 as of Oct 6), tho it's mostly jokes about his teeth at this point.
Lilith, who paused activities in January due to their drummer's illness, will revive in September!
On 2016-09-28, the band will hold their revival live and 17th(!) oneman, 魔都制圧-Rebirth-.
Their next oneman, 魔都制圧-Hidden Ability-, will follow on October 6th, and their Halloween sponsored event, LIN MING PRODUCTION 「ROCK AGE Case.004」 「MAD Halloween in 魔都」, on October 29th. Their Xmas special live, 魔都制圧-Holy Night-, will be held on December 25th, and guitarist Lin (凛) will celebrate his birthday at their 20th oneman, 魔都制圧-AS Night-, the following day.
The band has also announced an Asia tour for 2017, but other details are TBA.
Lilith will release their 6th EP, Rebirth-歸來-, on 2016-09-28, with sales limited to that day only. (I'm not sure if the EP will only be sold at the live event―or if online orders will be accepted, but for one day only.) By the way, this EP will include their first Japanese song!
Lilith's 3-track 7th EP, 盤龍舞鳳-Dragon Heir-, will be released on 2016-12-21 (through the normal venues this time). A 2-track digital version will be sold on the same day.
I'm looking forward to their new songs ☆ミ
In other news, Lilith guitarist 凛-Lin- and bassist 修羅-Shura- have signed endorsement deals with ESP Guitars! Congrats, guys.
Note: As usual, I'm unable to romanise the Chinese correctly. Feel free to suggest corrections~
Ok, now that Mis†ake has paused activities, I guess it's finally time for me to post about what they've been doing for the past 6 months, lol.
So here's a roundup of their lives and releases, since announcing their limited revival at the beginning of the year. Some of it's been posted already, but much of it has not. (Sorry for not doing this earlier, but the sheer amount of distributed/limited releases―and the zetsubou of knowing I can't get them―has made me put it off |дﾟ)
Mis†ake begins temporary revival, as Mis†akeⅡ (From.加古川) (Mis†akeⅡ (From.Kakogawa)). Oneman, Mezamereba, REMEMBER (めざめれば、リメンバー), is held at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) JU-ZA, with opening act Paranoid≠circuS.
- Custom tea bag is freely distributed to attendees.
- PV DVD of First Period Mis†ake, Suimen ni Utsuru Hidarimawari no Bousui Tokei (水面に映る左回りの防水時計), is sold at the live.
- Custom armband is sold at the live.

At today's live, Minus Jin-Say Orchestra announced that they will “freeze.”
Due in part to the secession of bassist Ogawa “HONG KONG” Kotarou (小川“ホンコン”小太郎) on 2016-07-08, the band will freeze activities at their two-day oneman oneman, Hougyo! SUBCULchan Yojouhan Shinwa (崩御!サブカルちゃん四畳半神話), on 2016-10-09 at TSUTAYA O-WEST and 2016-10-15 at Esaka (江坂) MUSE.
Before that, they'll hold their two-day sponsored event, Soumatou HOLOGRAM (走馬灯ホログラム), on 2016-10-08 at Takadanobaba (高田馬場) CLUB PHASE and 2016-10-14 at Esaka (江坂) MUSE.
To me, “freeze” implies that they will come back in the future, but that has not been confirmed.
Lots of GIGA news today, in the wake of GIGAMOUS' tour final! New releases and lives... and more HEISEI ISHIN memorial lives!
GIGAMOUS will hold a twoman with Mix Speaker's,Inc., Giga Mix, on 2016-11-26 at Takadanobaba (高田馬場) AREA.
A two-part memorial live to deceased HEISEI ISHIN vocalist, Taku (拓), will be held. Heisei revolution party 2016 (平成revolution party 2016) 【Osakahen】 (【大阪編】) and 【Tokyohen】 (【東京編】) will be held on 2016-12-09 at OSAKA amHALL and 2016-12-13 at Takadanobaba (高田馬場) AREA, respectively. Details TBA, but I'm so glad that this tradition is being continued! R.I.P Taku 💔
GIGAMOUS vocalist Shiki (式) will hold his birthday oneman, Shiki Seitansai (式聖誕祭), on 2016-12-01 at Shibuya (渋谷) REX. Details TBA.
GIGAMOUS vocalist Shiki (式) will also embark on a solo tour (he previously acted as a solo artist before joining the band). Tabidori (旅鳥) will start on 2016-08-18 in Tokyo (東京). Details TBA. (I wonder if he'll have a release too 🤔)
GIGAMOUS has revealed their new artist photo! Check it out above. (I love it!)
The band will release their mini-album GIGAGAIN on 2016-09-07, to commemorate their 3rd anniversary! It contains re-recordings of previously-released singles, plus at least one new song. (My prediction is 4 old songs + 1 new? What do you think?)
The band will also release their 8th single (details TBA) on 2016-11-09, also in commemoration of their 3rd anniversary.
Their 3rd anniversary celebration tour, GIGA PARTY ROCK SHOW!!!!, will commence on 2016-09-14 at Sapporo (札幌) Spiritual Lounge.
They'll also have a special event, 3shuunen ONEMAN Chokuzen Giganeko Kekkishuukai (3周年ワンマン直前戯画猫決起集会), at Shibuya (渋谷) RUIDO K2.
Finally, their tour final oneman(?), GIGAMOUS 3shuunen & seiya Seitansai (ギガマウス3周年&seiya誠誕祭), will be held on 2016-10-10 at Tokyo (東京) Kinema Club (東京キネマ倶楽部).
KISAKI will participate in a 90s visual kei event in September!
The event, 「GLAM POP WORLD」 ~1990 Nendai Osaka BAND Daishuuketsu Matsuri~ (「GLAM POP WORLD」 ~1990年代 大阪バンド 大集結祭り~), will be held on 2016-09-18 at Osaka (大阪) BIG CAT. KISAKI's special session band will perform as a special guest:
KISAKI SESSION BAND V. Haruhi (春陽) [ex-Ove~etc.] V. Taniguchi TOMOROU (谷口トモロウ) [ex-【denno:oblaat】~etc.] G. YAYOI [ex-MIRAGE~etc.] G. Ryu (龍) [ex-Mystic Moon~etc.] D. Yomi [ex-【zɔ́ːdi̽æ̀k】~etc.]
As previously announced, ex-KISAKI band STELLA MARIA will hold a one-day revival at the event--but KISAKI still won't be participating in that one, lol.
wyse, Ravecraft, GRASS, LAID, and GIGASLAVE will also hold one-day revivals at the event, in addition to further unnamed bands (TBA).
Good news for fans of ONENESS - the band will revive for one day at Double River Record president Ryuu Asakawa's (浅川隆) birthday presents live, DOUBLE RIVER SUMMIT 2016, at NAGOYA HOLIDAY NEXT on July 11, 2016. Also performing will be a tribute session band, going by the name ASAKAWA SHINEITAI 2016 (浅川親衛隊2016), which features some familiar faces:
At their one-man live "処す。(shosu)," Dead Children announced that they will be holding their last live "DEAD CHILDREN PARTY The final curse…" on June 29th at RUDIO K3, which will also mark the end of their activities. No further details of releases or reasoning for their decision have been shared thus far.
STELLA MARIA will hold a one-day revival on 2016-09-18!
The news was announced yesterday by ex-guitarist seine. He revealed that the band will hold a live somewhere in Osaka on 2016-09-18, but further details are TBA. (KISAKI was the band's bassist for a short time, but somehow I doubt he'll participate. Will keep you updated, tho❤ Edit: KISAKI clarified he will not participate.)
Lucifer's underground will hold their anniversary oneman on 2016-03-30 at Nagoya (名古屋) CLUB ROCK'N'ROLL―and drummer Atuki (亜月) will secede at that live.
Atuki's comment for leaving is below. He doesn't give much of a reason (except “I had to leave”), but this is the same guy that was kicked out of Cu[be] for unknown reasons, so I wonder if he has family drama or something. At any rate, Lucifer's underground plans to continue with support drummers, for now.
Affective Synergy, the solo project of ex-brodiaea~Lilith guitarist Lin (凛), will perform on 2016-02-25 at ALVION's disbandment event.
The lineup for their performance is: V. +Yuu (+悠) [ex-ZODIA~Ultimate Sonic] G. Lin (凛) [ex-brodiaea~Lilith] G. Yuki (雪) [ex-Leviathan, etc.] B. Mahiro (真央) [ex-brodiaea~ROMANCING Saga] D. takumi (拓未) [FANG]
Affective Synergy had been inactive for a few years, while Lin was busy with Lilith.
By the way, Lilith's first full album, 円夢中華-Genuine to the Core-, which is set for an April release, will have 14 tracks. They include [SILK] Rouge, Arcadia, Mr.Frxxk, Crimson Psyche, and Stellar Secret-星之迷- (the old songs will be remastered or rerecorded). The band has also recorded a PV for the release.
As predicted here, guitarist Nayu has departed from Sherella due to differences in band style and to devote to his activities in Ferris WheeL, since joining the band back in the beginning of January. Now, only vocalist Amu and bassist Shio remain in the band.
And Sherella, a band that has been plagued by member departures since its formation back in late 2014, is said to be going on an activity pause. This has yet to be confirmed, but their website has been taken down. However, they've also posted the full version of their newest song, Tsuki ni Ikiau (which appears in their latest live-limited single, Kyoukai no Kireta Sekai/Tsuki ni Ikiau) on their Youtube channel:
Se'ikspia―a wonderful Kansai-based band that was briefly produced by UNDER CODE PRODUCTION―will hold their (limited?) revival, 13 years later!
Se'ikspia disbanded on 2003-12-31, but will hold their revival live on 2016-01-24 at Nanba (難波) ROCKETS. The original members―V. RUKA, G. TAISUKE, B. JUYA, and D. KAI―will participate. (B. SETSUKI, who seceded from the band, will be absent.)
Btw, the band doesn't specify, but I suspect it will be a very limited revival (eg. one day only, or 2016-limited).
The band will “thaw out” (解凍) and “rebirth” in 2016. Perennial support guests G. KAZ [ex-Ⅶ-Sense], B. Jin [ex-UnsraW], and D. Mikage [ex-Ⅶ-Sense] are now official members.
The band will freely distribute their new song, Togetoga (棘咎), through Like an Edison stores beginning on 2016-02-01. Their revival sponsored event live, more glitch reception vol.1, will be held on 2016-04-15.
Sanada Ren (of Tatoeba Konna Hanashi) has mentioned that Nanjou Riku (南條 戮) (of chariots) will appear at his 2016-01-11 solo live at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) JU-ZA.
Zaidan Houjin Kurojuuji (as “Kurojuuji”) will perform, and cheki of both vocalists will be sold at the live. Those who purchase 5,000 yen worth of goods will be allowed to take a twoshot with either Ren or Riku, and will further receive a 2004 photograph of Zaidan Houjin Kurojuuji. There's also something about personal goods/live DVD in regards to cheki being sold, but I don't understand it.
Furthermore, Ren's 90s-visual alter-ego band Mis†ake will hold a time limited revival as Mis†akeⅡ (From.加古川). Their oneman, Mezamereba, REMEMBER (めざめれば、リメンバー), will be held on 2016-02-12 at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) JU-ZA, with opening act Paranoid≠circuS.
I've no clue who the Mis†akeⅡ members are, as the flyer just shows weird stick figures. (In the past, it was Dali members, but I assume that's not the case anymore.)
The band's first PV DVD will be sold at the live, and there's also something about tea and SNS, but I have no fucking clue what they're talking about. It also appears they'll be hand-selling tickets somewhere, but, again, idk.
LIN's the end of corruption world is now available for preordering at CD Japan! First press bonus is still the same as in the webshop (which means you can still get the World in Flames re-recording CD and the trading card too, but no personalized message), but if you still want that, then get your copy quick, since CDJ's bonus is available for a limited time!
Also, the tracklists for the two CDs are now available! You can view it here!
After only 2 years of activity, ALVION will disband after their presents live at HOLIDAY OSAKA on February 25, 2016. The members had held a discussion that later concluded that they shall disband, and after all this doesn't come as a surprise as their discography is quite small for two years of activity. If you recall, their last release was a live-limited single, ARROWS / BECOME A FOOL, released back in October, which is the same month when they held their first anniversary oneman at the same venue.
The cover has also been revealed―but the proportions are wrong for a standard jewel case or tallcase. Considering there's nothing unorthodox included in the set (eg. a charm), this seems like a really “uneconomical” design choice, which is so unlike KISAKI... (For what it's worth, I expected a 4-disc jewel case, coupled with a jewel-case-sized booklet, contained within a cardboard sleeve [à la Independent MAZE, or D's Name of the ROSE]. I guess we'll see how that works out.)
Some other minor details gleaned from the web shop's preorder listing:
Price with tax is 10,800 yen
They've explicitly stated that it comes with two DVD discs.
The DVDs are now described as “all songs from the performance included” (公演を全曲収録) [it also implies, imo, that MCs are not included]. Previous listings said “60 minutes from the performance included” (公演より60分収録).
The personalized message DVD, from member of your choice, is limited to those who preorder by 2016-01-31. The set will still be for sale after that, just sans privilege.
I mentioned it previously, but again: each copy includes an unsigned trading postcard, of 12 total (versus a signed trading sticker, of 6 total, as initially announced).
And finally, the band has released a new flyer―though an image from KISAKI's blog implies that there's another one coming.
The set will cost 10,000 yen (before tax), and will include 2 CDs + 1 DVD (I think―one site mentions 2 CDs, but another only says “CD”...).
The CDs contain 26 tracks total, from first and second period LIN. The tracks will be “remastered,” except for the newly recorded World In Flames ~Eternal Sleep~. The DVD will contain 60 minutes of footage, each, from the last lives of first and second period LIN. That means no full, uncut DVD of LIN's last live :(
The release will also include a 24 page booklet. Previously, they announced it would include 1 random signed trading sticker, of 6 possible―this has changed to an unsigned trading postcard, of 12 possible.
By the way, the band did photography for their last look today (the costumes that you saw during the activity pause live). They should be up soon.
LIN has updated their official web shop with time-limited bootleg DVDs and limited-quantity cheki sets.
The bootleg DVDs are roughly 4,000~6,000 yen, and are available for order from 2015-12-06 through 2016-01-31. Their activity pause live is not included, so we can safely say now that there will be an official DVD release for that (or it will be included with the best album). Here's the list: - 2015.09.13 Takadanobaba AREA - 2015.10.27&28 SHIBUYA-REX (Halloween lives) - 2015.10.30&31 OSAKA MUSE (Halloween lives) - 2015.11.07 Umeda Zeela (oneman) - 2015.11.08 Nagoya HOLIDAY NEXT (oneman)
They are also selling sets of 10 cheki for each member. Unspecified limited quantities of each set are available. Each set costs 5,940 yen.
LIN has made their important announcement: they will disband on 2016-03-20.
Their memorial best box, the end of corruption world, will be released on 2016-02-24. It contains previously released tracks, plus a DVD (PV collection, or perhaps footage from their activity pause live?). It will also contain a rerecording of World In Flames, and a signed trading sticker. Those who purchase through the web shop will receive a personalized comment DVD.
Their four-day disbandment event, the end of corruption world, will be held on 2016-03-08, 09, and 10 at Shinjuku (新宿) ReNY. The final day, and their last live, will be on 2016-03-20 at Nanba (難波) Hatch. A tshirt will be freely distributed to attendees of the last live, and those who purchase a ticket through the official web shop will further receive a LIN original parka.
Sanada Ren (the solo project of Tatoeba Konna Hanashi vocalist Ren) will hold his oneman, ed, on 2016-01-11 at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) JU-ZA.
It appears, from the flyer, that Zaidan Houjin Kurojuuji will appear as a guest act. There's no mention if ex-chariots vocalist RIKU or any other usual members of Zaidan Houjin Kurojuuji will participate, but I'll update if more information becomes available.
Jikkentai NEMESIS will hold a one-day revival on 2016-01-05 at OSAKA MUSE.
If you don't remember, Jikkentai NEMESIS was a continuous session band formed by guitarist SAN after the disbandment of NEGA. It featured ex-Reeper vocalist Saica and ex-Vior gloire drummer ARU. Guitarist Hiroya and bassist Nagi joined for the session's last live, and that lineup became official band the:Ø.
It has been confirmed that the 2016-01-05 performance will not feature the full lineup, but Nagi and SAN have already confirmed their participation.
That should kill the rumors of SAN being hated by everyone for joining BFN, lol.
EDIT: Saica and Aru, plus ex-LUCHE. guitarist Hikaru, have also confirmed their participation in the revival.
Black Gene For the Next Scene has announced their best album and live DVD of their 2015-11-01 oneman at TSUTAYA O-EAST.
The DVD will be released on 2016-01-13, and the best album, CHAOS MONSTER, will be released in three types (BLACK, WHITE, and CLEAR) on 2016-02-03. Furthermore, the best albums have UPC through GLK-025, while the DVD is GLK-029, so it seems probable that the band will have 3 other releases in the new year (3-type last single, perhaps?).
BFN's winter oneman tour, Tokyo HARD MODE ~7days~ (東京 HARD MODE ~7days~), begins on 2015-12-05 and ends with Ice's birthday oneman on 2016-01-01. Their three-city last sponsored event tour, CHAOS FAMILY, will be held from 2016-01-29 through 2016-02-10. And, finally, their last oneman tour, Mikan no Kyoutai (未完の筐体), will occur from 2016-03-18 through 2016-04-04.
BFN's last live before pausing activities, Mikan no Kyoutai ~Bye For Now~ (未完の筐体 ~Bye For Now~), will be held on 2016-04-10 at Ebisu (恵比寿) LIQUIDROOM. Those who purchase a 9,500 yen premium ticket will receive a memorial ticket and exclusive tshirt.
LIN held their last live before pausing activities, Dedicate to Graveyard ~Everlasting Wish~, at Shinjuku BLAZE today. Here are some random comments about the live, mostly gathered by trolling Twitter:
First of all, judging from the pictures of guest passes, every bandman within a 10 block radius was there, lol.
Opinions are seemingly unanimous that the live was really good, and KISAKI gave an especially exciting performance.
All mentions of the new costumes have been really positive, calling them “really cool,” “kote visual,” et cetera. I've found a few pictures, but they don't give a great glimpse of the costumes, unfortunately. See here, here, and here.
(Tbh, they look like basic, black, suit-like/military-ish outfits to me? I wonder if we'll see official photos...?)
I may be mistaken about the details, but it seems that anyone with a guest pass also received a paper with KISAKI's last message. (Or, it was printed on the back of their flyer. I'm not sure tbh.) See here.
Seems that they distributed a memorial postcard to attendees? Not sure if it was exclusive to this live or the last tour. See this tweet.
I've only seen a partial setlist so far. Please comment if you know more! 2015-11-24 Edit: found the full setlist.

2015-11-24 Edit: KISAKI posted a picture of the band's last costumes.
And that's about it... SUI & MIZALY have already announced another live, but no word on activities of anyone else. I hope KISAKI comes back soon ;(
Lilith made several announcements today: First, since October, drummer Raku (樂) had been frequently sick. After caring for his sicknesses in the usual ways, he finally went to the hospital, and was subsequently diagnosed with a serious illness. (The band refrains from naming his illness, in respect of privacy.) Due to Raku's illness, and the fact that Lilith considers its members irreplaceable, Lilith will pause live activities in January 2016.
Until that time, Lilith will hold their already-scheduled lives: a guest performance on December 13th, their sponsored event Matoku Seiatsu -Everlasting- (魔都制圧-Everlasting-) on the 20th, and sponsored event Matoku Seiatsu -Snow- (魔都制圧-Snow-) on the 25th [all at Shanghai (上海) YUYINTANG LIVEHOUSE (育音堂)]. Lilith's last live [for now] will be their biggest-ever: a free oneman, Matoku Seiatsu -FAITH- (魔都制圧-FAITH-), at Repluse Bay (浅水湾) Q.HALL on 2016-01-17.
Finally, the band has mentioned that they will release their first full album, 円夢中華-Genuine to the Core-, which will feature new and old songs, sometime in April of 2016. Sorry, I'm not sure how to romanise the Chinese ^^;
KISAKI has mentioned that, today, LIN's new (final?) costumes arrived. It seems that they were produced by ID-JAPAN once again. And as I mentioned on Twitter, they will debut at the band's “last live” on 2015-11-22. (So strange, huh?)
LIN will also have different SE for their final live.
(Accompanying picture is a doll that decorates the ID-JAPAN offices. It wears a Kami [神 / God / KISAKI nickname] band from Phantasmagoria days!)
LIN will sell several special items at their last live [before pausing activities] on 2015-11-22 at Shinjuku BLAZE―including some that are limited to 1 copy. Furthermore, customers who spend 4,000 yen will be allowed to take a photograph with the band (or favorite member). The band will also collaborate with visual shop Like an Edison for regular sales.

Visual shop Like an Edison will maintain a special booth before the live, at which old LIN releases can be purchased. Furthermore, customers who purchased either Dedicate to Graveyard or Sacred illusionism through the Tokyo branch of Like an Edison, and received a special coupon, can receive a signature on the booklet of that release, after the live.
THE BLACK SWAN will freely distribute their full album, OUSIA-dispersed-, at their decide-your-price oneman, Judge the Value, on 2016-01-05 at Takadanobaba AREA.
The band will also make an important announcement at the live. *Please no disbandment*
As I previously reported, entry to the oneman is free, but customers are asked to pay “what they think the performance was worth” afterward. Everyone who attends will receive the full album. Those who purchase a “premium ticket” (3,000 yen) will further receive the luxurious booklet, which discloses “the world of OUSIA.”
The band has not mentioned if the album will also be sold in stores.
(If anyone's attending the live, I'll pay for the album + premium booklet!)
A special session band made of ex-UNDER CODE PRODUCTION members will perform on 2015-11-17!
Session band Shingen Kichi SPECIAL ~PERMANENT BAND GUEST~ (神言基地SPECIAL ~パーマネントバンドゲスト~) will appear at the CYBER CIRCUS TV featuring 【~Chikasen Shingen Kichi~ 2015】 (CYBER CIRCUS TV featuring 【~地下線神言基地~ 2015】) event at Abeno (あべの) ROCKTOWN.
Shingen Kichi SPECIAL ~PERMANENT BAND GUEST~ B. KISAKI [ex-Phantasmagoria ~ LIN] V. Rame [ex-VIDOLL ~ Black Gene For the Next Scene] G. MIZALY [ex-Megaromania ~ LIN] G. SAN [ex-NEGA ~ Black Gene For the Next Scene] D. TERO (テロ) [ex-VIDOLL ~ †яi￠к]
By the way, the “Chikasen Shingen Kichi” title is a reference to a 2006~2007 television program of the same name which KISAKI hosted in collaboration with HOLIDAY. It appears that the session will perform Kamiuta (神 歌), the representative song of Phantasmagoria which often ended UNDER CODE PRODUCTION events.
The full lineup of masked idol group Kamen Joshi (仮面女子) will appear as a second special guest. The bands XENON, Paranoid≠Circus, and Mischievous will also appear (adding to the UCP reunion!).
Sad announcement for VARYL fans - VARYL will disband after their oneman live at Takadanobaba AREA on January 8, 2016.
The disbandment comes on the same day that guitarist 樹璃 (Juri) will depart and retire for "family reasons", and the band can't continue without him. Recently, Juri has suffered a number of health issues to the point where he was abruptly transported to the hospital while on his way to the studio. According to his blog, he was suffering from acute dizziness, nausea, cramping of his hands and feet, and also a worsening case of tinnitus and a severe headache - all reaching up to the possibility of Ménière's disease, an ear disease that affects hearing and balance.
A very tragic - and sudden - way to go...my thoughts go out to Juri. Hopefully the rest of the guys will continue on with band activities, this group was truly short-lived.
UPDATE: Guitarist Juri has departed early on September 16, 2015, due to his worsening condition caused by Ménière's disease, his father announced today.
Another update: Juri's departure is now questionable, as the rest of the band are waiting for a direct response from Juri himself about his departure. They hope he will be able to participate at their last oneman.
A special event has been announced for 2015-12-10 which will memorialize deceased HEISEI ISHIN vocalist Taku (拓). Several special acts will appear―almost all of which were part of the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION family ❤.
N@H, the special two-piece band which was considered the “second act” of HEISEI ISHIN, will appear, along with GIGAMOUS, the formal band that followed. The band More, which features ex-12012 members will appear, as will a special version of THE BLACK SWAN which features ex-NEGA drummer Yu (優)!! A session called Ishin (維新) will appear, which presumably will cover HEISEI ISHIN songs, too.
Finally, a super special session called Yoshifumi BAND (よしふみバンド) will appear, which is made up of retired ex-UNDER CODE PRODUCTION guys...!! It features CO- (the not-seen-since-his-arrest ex-FUTURISM・BOYZ vocalist), TAKAFUMI (most famous UNDER CODE PRODUCTION staff member), KANATA (ex-LIN guitarist-cum-sommelier), Yoshi (HEISEI ISHIN leader who retired from music), and 姫雛~hina~ (ex-Anjyu' drummer). (Interestingly, many of those guys worked at TAKAFUMI's club!)
What a great lineup... I'd really like to see that live! R.I.P Taku ❤
Here's a chronological recap of what Ren (Dali, Tatoeba Konna Hanashi, etc.) and his projects have been up to this year:
Tatoeba Konna Hanashi paused activities on 2015-03-27.
Tatoeba Konna Hanashi vocalist 真田 廉 (Sanada Ren) and bassist Takahashi Kento (高橋 研斗) then formed unit NOBEL LABEL (ノベルラベル), which played on 2015-04-19 and 2015-04-29.
At NOBEL LABEL's first live, the 5,000 yen purchase privilege was either: the unit's first demo CD-R, or a DVD-R of Tatoeba Konna Hanashi's encore from their oneman. The unit also sold their first photoset and badge set.
At NOBEL LABEL's second live, they sold their second badge set, and the 5,000 yen purchase privilege was a Tatoeba Konna Hanashi new song demo CD-R.
Tatoeba Konna Hanashi members G. Ninna Kousuke (仁和 恒介), B. Takahashi Kento (高橋 研斗), and D. Kishihara Masami (岸原 雅巳) participated in the TOWER RECORDS “VISUAL LIFE Vol.1” project. It was basically a pamphlet featuring artists' comments (and some photos) that was awarded to those who purchased participating artists' CDs during 2015-05-12~2015-06-12.
On 2015-05-25, NOBEL LABEL held another live, and sold their third badge set.
A new Mis†ake (Dali alter-ego band) “best album” was released at the live. Also, the 5,000 yen purchase privilege was either of these Dali live DVD-Rs:
- 2012-10-28 Dali Halloween alter-ego session Happy☆Everyday (はっぴい☆えぶりでい)
- 2012-08-08 Dali sponsored event
Later in May, Dali made a few items available for mail-order through their official blog (despite being disbanded). The band's last live DVD and last original CD were available, along with the aforementioned Mis†ake best album. (See this page for instructions.)
Apparently, Takahashi Kento (高橋 研斗) became absent (seceded? became too busy?) from NOBEL LABEL some time in June?
The unit held its first sponsored event, Shimesu EMOTION 3 (示すエモーション), on 2015-06-19 at Ash OSAKA. ex-paradeis guitarist Ao (碧) acted as support. The unit sold their fourth badge set.
At NOBEL LABEL's 2015-07-23 live, the unit sold its fifth badge set, and the 5,000 yen purchase privilege was a demo CD-R of Tatoeba Konna Hanashi's seventh unnamed song. ex-tomodachi bassist Io (伊緒) acted as support.
On 2015-08-07, vocalist Sanada Ren (真田 廉) held his first solo live during a twoman with umbrella. umbrella to Sanada Ren (umbrellaと真田 廉) was held at Minamihorie (南堀江) SOCORE FACTORY.
At the live, Tatoeba Konna Hanashi's first USB collection, USB oh! memory, was sold for 4,000 yen. It contained:
- demo of Tatoeba Konna Hanashi's eighth untitled song
- acoustic demo of Tatoeba Konna Hanashi song ed - lyrics
- flyer images from 2013~2015 (6 total)
- photos from 2013~2015 (19 total)
Also, the Tatoeba Konna Hanashi official website has closed... Ren stays messy and impossible to follow, unfortunately ;x. I've personally given up trying to get Tatoeba (etc.) releases, but it's nice to know that Ren is still chugging along and having fun, somewhere.
FOODED SEAL, the “bad luck band” formed by ex-CindyKate drummer Masami (雅美), held their last live on 2015-08-18 and disbanded. Masami also announced his retirement at the event :(.
Masami has always been a voracious participant in session bands, and can more or less play any instrument, so I'll be surprised if he never returns to the stage in any way. Still, it's a shame that FOODED SEAL had such bad luck that he apparently got turned off from band life...
Update by hitsuji-hime: After his supposed retirement, Masami has changed his name back to Sami and went back to being a drummer...he's also changed his Twitter handle to @freeDr_SAMI. Wonder what band activities await him, if any at all.
BYE BYE REGRET (バイバイリグレット), formerly known as Bye²regret, will hold a one-day revival on 2015-08-22 at Kawasaki (川崎) Serbian Night.
Bye²regret was the band of guitarist Toshihiro, who served in KISAKI PROJECT feat. Jui, and also in the UCP-produced band cious pi cious. Unfortunately, Toshihiro will not participate in this one-day revival live.
LIN has published its members' comments about pausing activities (find behind the cut). Although I can't translate, it sounds as if lack of success is the cause. The band also announced that their last tour, Unlimited Aesthetic, began on 2015-06-11, and will end with their tour final 4-day sponsored event, Unlimited Aesthetic~Halloween Night 4Days~. Finally, their three-stop last oneman tour, Dedicate to Graveyard~Everlasting Wish~, will be held on 2015-11-07, 2015-11-08, and 2015-11-22.
The first 50 people who buy tickets to a Dedicate to Graveyard~Everlasting Wish~ show, through the official web shop, will receive a limited LIN t-shirt.
LIN's last maxi-single, 「Dedicate to Graveyard」, will be released on 2015-09-09. It includes one new song (the title track), a re-recording of Misery is Nothing, and an unspecified bonus (probably instrumental versions of those two songs). An application ticket for an unspecified privilege will be included in the release.
Those who purchase the single through the band's official web shop will receive a privilege live DVD (about 20 minutes).
By the way, the band's live DVD, Sacred illusionism, will be re-released through general stores on 2015-09-09, but it seems that it's exactly the same as before.
LIN has announced at their 6/24 live at Umeda ZEELA that they will be on hiatus after their live at Shinjuku Blaze on November 22...before then, they've also announced a new single for September and revealed their last look.
I'm not surprised, but I'm still kinda pissed. What do you guys think?
Legendary Soleil/Matina bands Vasalla and WITH SEXY held their one-day-revival twoman on 2015-05-30. This week, after a brief countdown on their OHP, the bands announced that a live DVD of the performance will be available! Details are TBA.
AiM MaiM will hold their 1 year anniversary sponsored event on 2015-06-26. Today, the band announced that drummer Ichiyo (一葉) will secede from the band at that live, and AiM MaiM will end activities (disband).
To bad that we never even got to hear their music, since their single didn't show up on auction :/
In memorial of their upcoming disbandment, Oneness will release a memorial pamphlet + DVD set. The set will feature exclusive photos, interviews, etc., and the DVD will feature an unreleased PV. The set goes on sale on 2015-06-06 at lives and through the band's official web shop.
Bad luck band FOODED SEAL its last support member lineup (see below), which will begin performing on 2015-05-19 at Shibuya REX. The band will hold a sponsored event on 2015-07-04 (details TBA), and another on 2015-08-18―at which FOODED SEAL will make an important announcement and disband.
FOODED SEAL V. Sami (雅美) [ex-CindyKate] Support G. YOUDAI Support G. Ray [ex-CindyKate support ~ ex-Glam Grammar ~ etc.] Support B. Tama (汰麗) [ex-GOKIBURI ~ etc.] Support D. Kai (華威) [ex-Se'ikspia ~ ex-SERIAL⇔NUMBER (リアル⇔NUMBER) ~ etc.]
Legendary bands Vasalla and WITH SEXY will hold their one-day revival twoman, Reminiscence of LOVE INSANE, on 2015-05-30 at Ikebukuro EDGE. At that live, the bands will release a compilation album featuring remastered versions of rare demotape songs. Check the Collection of LOVE INSANE page for the tracklist.
SYO tweeted that this album will make it easier to hear rare WITH SEXY songs which are otherwise only available through super expensive auctions... kind of ironic since this CD will probably be available only through super expensive auctions, hehe
As we thought, REALies will disband (members' comments). Their best albums release on June 10th, their last sponsored event is on Jun 22nd, a bus trip with fans will be held on July 11th, and the group will disband at the final stop of their oneman tour, I did it my way., on 2015-08-08. REALies will have lasted for 4 years, with no member changes, and with a definite growth compared to their start at UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. I'm quite proud of them for that. Good luck boys!
CARAT has postponed their last live, which was scheduled for 2015-04-03, due to vocalist Yuuji。 (ゆーじ。) being involved in an unspecified accident which has fractured his jaw. In such a condition, it's impossible for him to sing, so the live will be rescheduled to some time in the summer of this years. Details TBA once they're decided.
Each omnibus costs 3,000 yen, and they'll both be released on 2015-02-11. Between the two, almost all of carat's discography is collected, so it's a good chance for casual fans (like myself) to catch up!
CARAT has announced that they will be disbanding. Their last oneman tour, Fuugetsu Muhen (風月無辺), will start on 2015-03-08, and their oneman tour final/last live, Shuuen ~SAKURA ITSUKA~ (終宴~サクライツカ~), will be held on 2015-04-03.
No reason for the disbandment is given, aside from “repeated discussions with the label (Sound Addict Laboratory)”.
At their 2015-01-18 live, bad luck band FOODED SEAL has announced the secondary guitarist maNa and bassist MEL have seceded from the band. Furthermore, support drummer Verry has ended support. This leaves vocalist Masami (雅美) as the only member―despite this, he still has two FOODED SEAL lives planned in the future.
When I posted about the:Ø disbanding, I wasn't sure if their mini-album cold the:Øry would still be released―but now it's been confirmed that the CD will still be released, as the band has uploaded a trailer on YouTube. Funnily enough, it already sounds better than their previous works!
the:Ø has announced that they will disband at their free oneman live on 2015-01-23. The members apparently couldn't agree on a direction for future activities after the intended secession of guitarist Hiroya (尋弥)―however, since the group is disbanding so soon, Hiroya has rescinded his withdrawal so that they can end with 5 members. The band has not mentioned whether or not their mini-album cold theory will still be released as planned.
Neologic is temporarily changing their name to ネオロジ (NEOLOGI), until they can [hopefully] find new members and restart activities some time in 2015. In the mean time, they are searching for a guitarist, bassist, and drummer.
KARMA=SHENJING has announced their temporary revival!! (And has changed the notation of their name, which was previously “Karma-Shenjing”.) If you don't remember, KARMA=SHENJING was a band that was produced by UNDER CODE PRODUCTION for a short time, which played Chinese-influenced music that was heavy on synthesizer. Though a small band, they achieved some success and played in America several times.
KARMA=SHENJING will hold their temporary revival live on 2015-03-01 at club MERCURY during the Narcissus Night event. ex-bassist SAKIKA will re-join the 3 original members, along with a new female drummer who was a fan of the band. The length of their temporary revival has not been decided yet (though I presume it will be very short).
FUTURISM・BOYZ has finally made an official announcement regarding vocalist CO-: he has officially seceded from the band as of 2014-09-02.
The band had previously mentioned making an announcement in August about their vocalist... I wonder if they toyed with the idea of CO- resuming activities...? It does seems that they'd planned at least one last live with CO- before his secession.
But it seems that CO- has been unable to find any sense of motivation after all, and thus feels it's impossible to support the activities of a band―and I'm sure this still relates to his arrest in late 2013. So in addition to leaving the band, it seems that he has retired.
Despite this fact, the remaining two members of FUTURISM・BOYZ vow to continue.
On 2014-09-08, ex-ZODIA, NEGA, and Anjyu' members will perform in a session. It will be the first activity from ex-Anjyu' drummer hina in years, actually! The session will be at the 11th anniversary of Bar Paradox (a long time friend of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION).
After that, +Yuu will hold his session -z-, which will perform ZODIA songs.
Finally, +Yuu will hold his girugamesh cover session on 2014-08-04.
Aww, check out this shot from the recent “GOEMON RECORDS family” BBQ gathering ↑. They love each other ;_;. Anyway, here's a roundup of some GOEMON RECORDS news, feat. ARLEQUIN, CindyKate, and REALies!
The FUTURISM・BOYZ vs Dancing MOGA twoman was completed successfully, with attendance almost sold out, and renewed optimism among remaining members Shun (俊) and YUKIHIRO (ユキヒロ)! In addition to mentioning a few interesting details of F・BOYZ' activity until now (please check the biography page), Shun mentioned in a post that the duo has already planned more lives, due to the success of this one!
It seems we might get an official announcement about a FUTURISM・BOYZ vocalist in August...!
Here's the setlist from the show (keep in mind that lyrics and rhythm to almost all songs were changed to accommodate shall!):
FOODED SEAL new guitarist MaNa has opened his Twitter (@gt_arrow), and has mentioned that this is his first visual band! Luckily, he seems to be enjoying it so far.
At any rate, FOODED SEAL has completed fitting of their new costumes and will shoot photography for the costumes any day now. The new photos will be revealed on August 3rd, and the band will hold their sponsored event on August 18th.
king zeebra president and ex-SUZAKU (朱) vocalist Itsuki (樹) will hold his birthday event on 2014-09-14. In addition to appearances by UCP family bands, Itsuki's former band Envus will hold a one day revival!
By the way, ISORA bassist Kizuna (ex-SUZAKU) will also hold his hastily-decided birthday event on 2014-07-23 at Ash OSAKA, Ikuu Ennichi ~Kizuna~ (異空縁日~絆~). ISORA and the members' sessions will perform.
FOODED SEAL (フーデッドシール) bassist 7o and drummer Sayuki (さゆき) have announced that they will secede from the band on 2014-08-02. Both members have stated that their reasons for leaving are complicated and won't be revealed at this time. This leaves vocalist Masami (雅美) as the only member―he will make a further announcement regarding the band on 2014-06-01.
So, Paranoid≠circuS is the band of ex-SUZAKU (朱) roadies, and THE BEST BROTHERS is the band of ex-Dali roadies. Here's a roundup of the latest news from both:
Paranoid≠circuS drummer YUSURA (ユスラ) was in an accident earlier in May and has found it mentally distressing to continue band activities while recovering. As such, he has seceded from the band as of 2014-05-21.
Despite the member loss, Paranoid≠circuS will release their 2nd single, Chingonka (鎮魂歌), through ELE-MUSIC on 2014-07-09.
THE BEST BROTHERS will disband on 2014-07-23.
The band had paused activities last year due to the retirement of guitarist SATO→ (サト→), but had finally revived on 2014-03-24 under the name BES BRO (ベスブラ). However, the band admits that they still found it difficult to continue without SATO→, and thus have decided to formally disband in July.
Long-running visual band MoNoLith is disbanding this August, and have been doing special projects as part of their last tour. Today, they announced that they'll “redo” their twoman live vs CindyKate (シンディケイト), which was originally held in 2012... which means that CindyKate will hold a one day revival!!
ex-Vior gloire guitarist serra's new band, friguslumbare has indefinitely paused activities ...after only one live. And their explanation is something about the plumbing in one of the members' houses? Or something?
....Guess we should have known from the DJ in a motorcycle helmet that wasn't a serious band.
So anyway, you may remember that friguslumbare was going to sell a 3 song CD for 500 yen at their first live. Well, now their OHP says that they “forgot to do that”, and now they're distributing it via mailorder. Maybe.
Anyway, on a more serious note, it sounds as if serra is taking a break from music. Hopefully that's not the case!
On 2014-09-22, legendary visual kei hair & makeup house Tritt für Tritt will celebrate its 10th(!) anniversary with a huge modeling & live event in Ikebukuro (池袋). After teasing details for the past five months, Tritt für Tritt has finally announced the full lineup of participants in its event―and a plethora of ex-UNDER CODE PRODUCTION musicians will appear!
While Tritt für Tritt will handle all hair and makeup for the modeling portions, they will collaborate with the following fashion houses for clothes and accessories: SEX POT, Royal Princess Alice, Angelic Pretty, SUPER LOVERS, Rion, and mIRA..
MonoLog―new band of ex-Synside guitarist kikyo, which featured ex-SUZAKU (朱) drummer Karen (火憐) as support―has disbanded as of 2014-03-31 due members' inability to agree on activities for 2014. The members state that they planned to announce it during their 2014-03-23 live, but it was cancelled due to the vocalist's temporary hearing loss, so they had no choice but to announce it today via their blogs.
Everything kikyo touches is a mess, so I'm not surprised. Good riddance to this waste-of-a-year band with no releases or movement...! Let's reminisce with samples of their 2 half-songs:
Ultimate Sonic, the solo project of ex-ZODIA (ゾディア) member +Yuu (+悠), has announced its first nationwide release! New mini-album Mindscape will be released on 2014-05-28, and will feature 1 SE + 3 remixed songs + 2 brand new songs. And since it will be available on Amazon, overseas fans should be able to buy it!
Ultimate Sonic's sponsored event, Answer Gate, will be held on 2014-05-16 at Ash OSAKA in commemoration of the release and in celebration of +Yuu's birthday. After that live, Ultimate Sonic will pause live activities to focus on future works―but rest assured that this is not a total “activity pause,” nor the end of the project.
As mentioned last week, the second period of LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-) features SUI, MIZALY, and YUSHI of Megaromania plus CERO of zechs. Today, the band has been officially revealed, meaning we have a slew of releases and live details. Let's get to it!
LIN will release their first maxi-single, Sacred Xanadu (what a name!), via mail-order in the 2014-04-21 edition of Cure magazine.
Their second maxi-single, Chaotic Resistance, will be released in two types on 2014-07-23. The normal type will be sold nationwide, while a Kansai-limited version with alternate jacket and different bonus track will be sold only at visual shops in Kansai. A double-purchase-application privilege will also be available; details TBA.
LIN will make their first omnibus contribution to Yougenkyou-WEST- (妖幻鏡-WEST-) on 2014-07-23. Further details about the omnibus TBA.
LIN's first lives will be two twoman events, Sacred illusionism~Battle Revival~, versus Grieva (グリーヴァ) and Black Gene For the Next Scene on 2014-06-01 and 2014-06-11, respectively. Special projects, TBA, will be held.
Their coupling tour with Jupiter and Black Gene For the Next Scene, Battle for Clans Tour 【V3】, will be held on June 12, 13, and 17, in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, respectively.
Their first foreign live will be held in Taichung, Taiwan on 2014-08-10 as part of HEART-TOWN FESTIVAL 2014.
LIN's first national tour, Sacred illusionism, will kick off on 2014-07-01 and will end with the tour final and first oneman, Sacred illusionism -FINAL-, on 2014-08-31 at Umeda (梅田) AKASO.
LIN will be the first artist signed to a new label called PLUG RECORDS WEST.
PRW (PLUG RECORDS WEST) is a newly-established “western branch” of long-established visual label PLUG RECORDS―home to semi-famous indie bands such as Psycho le Cému, A (ACE), DaizyStripper, CELL, etc. So on one hand, we can presume that the label will have enough money to produce good quality releases; but on the other, the “brotherhood” of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION bands may not manifest in this new sublabel.
Is KISAKI the president of PLUG RECORDS WEST? I don't know. I do know, however, that KISAKI himself is listened as “organizer” for LIN's live events, which gives the impression that he'll still be fully in charge of LIN's activities―but he may not be managing other bands for the foreseeable future.
Just a note: that 2014-07-23 omnibus is a continuation of a classic line of visual omnibi that has been around since 2001. That, plus LIN being under an old label, plus the upcoming revival of the Rin・ne・ten・sei (輪・廻・転・生) events, gives me the impression that KISAKI is making an even bigger effort to bring old visual kei back to today's scene, somehow.
KISAKI has confirmed the second chapter of LIN!!! He mentioned that the band will play two lives in June, but full details of the revival will be released on March 20, 2014. Until then, check out LIN's new logo (above) and new name (below).
LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-) is the band's new name... (Yeah, they simply capitalized the subtitle.) But that's OK!―I can personally promise that the new lineup is much more exciting than the new name (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿). See you again on March 20th~
ex-Dali and ex-LOTMAN (ロットマン) members' new band, Tatoeba Konna Hanashi (たとえばこんなはなし) has been revealed!
The band officially started activities after today's 2014-02-22 oneman live of their prototype band 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi, Sekai ha Bokura wo Shiru。 (2がつ22にち、せかいはぼくらをしる。) (which itself began activities on 2013-12-31). New band Tatoeba Konna has already opened its OHP and announced its first release, first live on 2014-03-22, and first sponsored event in May:
Tatoeba Konna Hanashi (たとえばこんなはなし)
After over 11 years of activity, 12012 will indefinitely pause activities after their 2014-12-12 event/oneman (details TBA). Their reason given is essentially “lack of direction”, but the members' full comments are available (in Japanese) here.
Oneness will hold a free oneman, KANSHA SAKURETSU (カンシャサクレツ), on 2014-04-06 at HOLIDAY NEXT NAGOYA to celebrate the #4 indies ORICON ranking of their latest single. The title strip from any type of the single (including the 2nd press) is required to receive a ticket.
2 Gatsu 22 Nichi (2がつ22にち、せかいはぼくらをしる。) has given another obscured view of their upcoming official photography.
REALies latest single, SETSUNA CANDLE (セツナキャンドル), has ranked #5 on the ORICON indies chart.
More information about RIKU's chariots-requiem: according to his blog post, it seems to be an ongoing session band, as he has not yet put together a new official band. Their 2014-04-15 live is called King of 『M』 Order, and guest players are 【V. RIKU / G. KAZ / G. Takeru (猛) (SAVAGE) / B. Jin (迅) / D. MIKAGE】.
As far as I can tell, Lilith's upcoming 3rd “EP” might be a single with the songs Galassia and Legacy. They will also hold a oneman in April. Details should be released soon.
ex-Megaromania drummer 邑詩-yushi- was supposed to appear at VAMPIRE ROSE's 2014-02-16 oneman at Kanazawa (金沢) van van V4. However, the live was cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date (TBA), due to support members' inability to travel because of bad winter storms.
ARLEQUIN (アルルカン) international street team has translated the band's interview with ViSULOG. The translation is available in three parts (so far): part 1, part 2, part 3.
The lineup of ex-SIVA vocalist KAIRI (カイリ) session band Bakeneko (化け猫) has been revealed: 【V. KAIRI / G. ShinyA (ex-Signal) / G. Keisuke (圭介) (ex-gaNesha) / Dr. Majyu (摩珠) (ex-E'm ~grief~)】.
The lineup of Raychel BAND (れいちぇるバンド) on 2014-03-08 has been finalized: 【V. 樹-Itsuki- (SUZAKU) / G. Ao (碧) (ex-paradeis) / G. KAEDE (カヱデ) (ex-MEKAKUSI (メカクシ)) / B. Ray (ex-NEGA) / D. REIYA (ex-LIN)】
The full lineup at ex-SUZAKU (朱) new band ISORA (イソラ) formation event on 2014-03-29 has been announced: Delia and REIRA SESSION (レイラセッション) will perform in addition to the previously-mentioned bands.
KISAKI mentioned that LIN (凛 -the end of corruption world-) has finished recording on a new live-limited release which will be sold at the the end of corruption world live on 2014-03-09. This new recording will be the last of LIN's first period lineup (RIKU / KANATA / KISAKI / REIYA) ...meaning that “second period LIN” with a new lineup will debut sometime in the future!
2014-02-14 edit: More details have been revealed: LIN's first period last song is Slander Crime! The live-limited single will be limited to 100 copies and cost 1,000 yen.
And for those who don't remember: Slander Crime was actually planned to be released last year! It was originally slated to be released via mail-order to those who purchased Reflect of Killing Fleur and 「Obscure Ideal」 (and it was called LIN's last song, even back then), but that plan was cancelled for reasons unknown. Nice to see them finally record and release the song, even if it is a year later!
As always, 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi (2がつ22にち、せかいはぼくらをしる。) has some crazy, minor, and annoyingly-hard-to-keep-track-of updates:
2 Gatsu were supposed to make an important announcement at their 2014-02-02 live, but they didn't. Afterward, they said they would reply to anybody who emailed email@example.com and tell them the important announcement. They didn't reply to my email; not sure if they replied to others at all.
The band will award a photoshoot ticket to those who spend 5,000 yen at their 2014-02-22 oneman.
Tatoeba Konna Hanashi (たとえばこんなはなし) will sell their original key holder and notebook at 2 Gatsu's 2014-02-22 oneman.
2 Gatsu will make an important announcement “in their own way” at the 2014-02-22 oneman. (Presumably they'll reveal Tatoeba Konna Hanashi, the official band, at this live―but who knows?)
2/22 edit: 2 Gatsu will sell photosets (two types available) at the 2014-02-22 live. Each set includes 4 photos and costs 1,000 yen. As is usual with this band, the photosets will never be sold again after this live. Furthermore, customers who spend 5,000 yen at the live will receive a satsueikai ticket; those who spend 10,000 yen will receive two satsueikai tickets plus offshot photoset #2 (includes 5 photos).
12012 vocalist Miyawaki Wataru (宮脇 渉) has been given the OK by his doctor to resume activities (after being restricted to vocal rest in December of 2013). The band will resume live activity on 2014-01-29 at Meguro Rockmaykan (目黒鹿鳴館). (However, still being on vocal rest until that date, Miyawaki Wataru will not participate in the band's 1/17 instore or 1/21 video appearance.)
Prototype band 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi (2がつ22にち、せかいほぼくらをしる。) has released details for the live which is foretold by their name: oneman live Tatoeba Konna Hanashi (たとえばこんなはなし) will be held on 2014-02-22 at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) LIVE HOUSE D'.
It seems that Tatoeba Konna Hanashi (たとえばこんなはなし) will also be the official name of 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi once the band formally begins activities, as that phrase translates to “for example, such story” (the URL of 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi's blog).
Furthermore, at that live, 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi members will switch to using full versions of their names, and the new bassist will join (replacing ex-Dali bassist Yuu, who left 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi on 2013-12-20, before the band's first live).
In summary: on 2014-02-22, prototype band 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi will become official band Tatoeba Konna Hanashi, with lineup:
V. Sanada Ren (真田 廉) 【ex-Dali ~ LOTMAN ~ etc.】
G. Ninna Kousuke (仁和 恒介) 【ex-LOTMAN ~ etc.】
B. Takahashi Kento (高橋 研斗) 【?】
D. Kishihara Masami (岸原 雅巳) 【ex-LOTMAN ~ etc.】
Two other bits of 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi news: ① those who spent 5,000 yen on goods at their first live received a free photoset; and ② those who participated in the game of onigokko were invited to a New Year visit to a shrine with 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi members after their first live.
As you recall, KISAKI announced his 2014 birthday celebration event, FREEDOM 20140309, to be held at shinsaibashi BASSO. A high resolution version of the flyer for the event has been released (above), and KISAKI has cleared up the LIN “revival(?)” business:
the end of corruption world is just a one-day-limited reunion of KISAKI and the ex-LIN (凛 -the end of corruption world-) members. So it's not an official revival of LIN as some of us speculated. However, KISAKI mentioned that he does plan to properly revive LIN in 2014, so wait for that news to come, perhaps in the later half of the year.
A few updates on 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi (2がつ22にち、せかいはぼくらをしる。):
Ren is using the kanji 廉 for his name.
The band held Onigokko (REVENGE) (おにごっこ(リベンジ)) on 2013-12-22 (Ren, Kousuke, and Masami chased participants in a game of tag). Special prizes were awarded to those who weren't caught. Admission was 1,000 yen, and a meeting (live) was held after.
Bassist Miyauchi Yuki (宮内結規) (aka YUU of Dali) has apparently already left the band, before even their first live.
They've already started with the limited items—meeting (live) DVD Ano DVD (あのデイブイデイ) will be sold at their 2013-12-31 live for 5,000 yen.
The band has a Twitter account: @tatoeba222. (BTW, it was formerly @2gatsu22nichi, but that account was deleted for terms of service violations, LOL.)
By the way, this was the band's set of rules for the onigokko revenge game:
〇 if you bother pedestrians, you will be kicked out of the area immediately!
〇 if you use a car, etc., you will be kicked out of Japan immediately!
〇 if you find a bandman on a date, take pictures and tweet them immediately!
So, before even their first official live, they've held a game of tag, lost a member, and had a cryptic distributed release. Sounds about right for something that Ren is involved in!
One-day-limited band SchwarzVrain held their oneman today, at which a distributed flyer announced KISAKI's birthday live, FREEDOM 20140309. The main act at the event will be the end of corruption world, a [one-day-limited?] band with the same lineup as LIN (凛 -the end of corruption world-).
It's unclear if “the end of corruption world” will exist beyond that performance, or what exactly the group is. Is it: a “new” band? a name change? a limited revival? a disbandment performance? Personally, I can't see those 4 working together again, due to RIKU's activities and KANATA and REIYA's lack thereof. I really expected KISAKI to announce a new band or a new version of LIN today, but neither of those things happened... I just hope he gives us some clear information soon, because these mysteries are tiring!
What are your thoughts?
By the way:
● There was a Christmas party after the live at TAKAFUMI's bar Brand New Lounge tres.
● At the party, KISAKI sold a 5-piece bootleg DVD set featuring lives of his previous bands (limited 5 copies, 4,000 yen each). He also sold a lucky bag (limited 1 copy, 5,000 yen) which featured 2 different live DVDs of his past bands.
● The picture used for “the end of corruption world” on the flyer is from LIN's black mask collection which they produced in collaboration with JIGGYS SEANA.
● Raychel BAND (れいちぇるバンド) played a CindyKate, NEGA, Phantasmagoria, and Dali song (specifics unknown).
KISAKI has announced a memorial event for AYAME, the ex-drummer of MIRAGE who passed away this year. The 3 day event features a slew of one-day revivals from infamous 90s visual kei bands, with MIRAGE headlining each event. Check out the full details below:
12012 is forced to postpone several lives after Miyawaki Wataru (宮脇 渉) developed acute chorditis (vocal strain) and has been told to rest his voice for the month of December. The postponed lives will be held in June of next year.
LOTMAN (ロットマン) disbanded today, and flyers distributed during the show have revealed vocalist Ren's (れん) new band! ...sort of.
In classic troll fashion, the band is temporarily being called 2 Gatsu 22 Nichi, Sekai ha Bokura wo Shiru. (2がつ22にち、せかいはぼくらをしる。)―meaning “our world will be revealed on February 22”. So, while we wait for 2014-02-22 for the actual band to be revealed, let's speculate, shall we?
Despite the members' faces being blurred on the distributed flyer, the lineup is pretty clear:
V. Ren (れん) (ex-Dali~LOTMAN)
G. SORA (ソラ) (ex-Melt.~LOTMAN)
B. YUU (ユウ) (ex-Dali~LOTMAN)
D. Miyabi (雅) (ex-LOTMAN)
So... LOTMAN! The lineup, casual costumes, childish hiragana writing, and sort of “messy reveal” all imply to me that this new band's concept/music will be exactly the same as late-period Dali and LOTMAN―but hopefully without the same awful live-limited release schemes. Looks like we'll be waiting for February to know anything for sure, but hopefully we can get some revealing live reports after 2 Gatsu plays their first live at Planet CHILD Music's New Year countdown event on 2013-12-31!
By the way, LOTMAN played with two lineups at their last live: first with Ren, SORA, Kayane, YUU, and Miyabi; and second with Ren, SORA, Ao, YUU, and Miyabi. In between the two lineups, the 90s-visual alter-ego band Mis†ake appeared―but this time it was actually just Dali!! In his MC, Ren mentioned that he felt the handling of Dali's last live was sort of messy, so this appearance served as a “re-do”.
2 Gatsu has opened an official blog (“for-example-such-story”―wonder if that has to do with the band's actual name?), which you can follow for updates.
gaNesha, the latest band of ex-SIVA vocalist KAIRI (カイリ) and guitarist Yuuichi (雄一), has announced that they will disband on 2014-02-19 due to the secession of KAIRI. The band formed on 2012-01-15 as Lucky13, changing their name to gaNesha on 2012-09-01. They also recently released their first mini-album, caste system.
As you may recall from this link NEGA had teamed up with Jeweler Material Crown to produce a limited Memorial line of Jewlery. Anyways, despite a later release date then projected by Material Crown I received my memorial necklace at the end of August. I've been busy with university as of late, so this is the first time I've had time available to post.
Anyways, here's what you guys are waiting for. Note this is the German Silver version of the necklace that didn't come with a chain (I'm cheap). There is no real difference between the Silver925 and German silver besides the fact that the Silver925 version came with a chain and is slightly heavier then the German silver.
I'm guessing this is the slip case they place orders in if you go to one of Material Crown's stores. This was delivered to me flat like this.
TYPE A Card that was received with the order. On the back is all of Material Crown's info; so this is really a limited business card for Material crown. :/
Close up of the card. Sorry about the blurriness this was the clearest pic I could get.
What you guys have been waiting for. Different views around the pennant. The pictures can't do this pennant justice. In real life its a really stunning piece that is classy enough to wear formally, but its also able to work in everyday wear. I've gotten several comments and questions from people when I do wear it. I know there was previous reports that the wing could be removable, but that seems that was the case for the shop promos. On both mine and my friend's (she has the silver925) the wing is attached to the main frame of the pennant and does not move.
This was my first time purchasing a bandman limited jewelry. Overall, I can say that despite the card being different from what I thought it was; it was very pleasant and easy to purchase this item. The people at Material Crown were helpful and were able to reply to all inquires in English when needed. The release of the necklace was a little late but it wasn't as bad as other bandman limited jewelry stories that are all over the net. In all I'm a happy little fan.
As you may recall, FUTURISM・BOYZ' recent live event was cancelled due to vocalist/leader CO- being detained by police for questioning. It seems that he has finally been released, as he has posted an apology via the F・BOYZ official blog.
Although I can't properly translate the apology, it seems that he glosses over what he actually did, but does admit that he was definitely involved in a crime. He says it was very stupid of him, and apologizes with all of his strength to those who worried about him. He apologizes to all band members, fans, and family, and says that his future activity is to be determined.
On the positive side―if there is one―this apology leads me to believe that the crime is non-violent/not a high-level crime. If it were, I would assume he would be unable to release such a comment, and wouldn't mention even the possibility of future activities. But that's just speculation. The original Japanese comment is below, if you can gather something more out of it:
FUTURISM・BOYZ members Shun and YUKIHIRO announced two days ago that the band's 2013-10-06 sponsored event has been cancelled (featuring ex-UCP cast), due to vocalist CO- being detained by police for questioning.
The members are unsure what CO- was involved in but it seems that he could be in some real trouble (eg. arrested). Shun and YUKIHIRO will further update when they know more about the situation―and after they've made a decision about the future of FUTURISM・BOYZ.
Refunds are available to all those who pre-ordered tickets to the event.
LOTMAN (ロットマン) has announced the details of their last live, which will be held on November 25 (and will be limited to 150 attendees). ex-Dali alter-ego band Mis†ake will also release their last song on that day.
LOTMAN (ロットマン), solo project of ex-Dali vocalist Ren (苓), held a fan meeting on 2013-09-09. According to one source on Twitter, Ren announced at the meeting that he will “secede from LOTMAN” on 2013-11-25 at Ash OSAKA―and since LOTMAN is Ren's project, his secession implies disbandment.
There's no other information to be found about it at the moment, but that's just how LOTMAN operates unfortunately. In the mean time, here are some nuggets of LOTMAN info:
LOTMAN's new song #3 is now titled Sagyou Now (作業なう)
ex-Dali bassist YUU (ユウ) has been playing with LOTMAN for a while
KISAKI has announced a special Christmas Day sponsored event, at which his one-day-limited special band SchwarzVrain (featuring ex-Megaromania and F・B members) will perform!!!!
C'est la vie ~REMAIN OF THE 20TH YEARS HISTORY~ Saishuushou is the final chapter in the celebration of KISAKI's 20 years of band activity, and will be held on 2013-12-25 at OSAKA MUSE. It will primarily serve as a oneman for special band SchwarzVrain, but will also feature a friendship performance by Raychel BAND (れいちぇるバンド), and special opening acts GLARD (ex-VAGERKE) and DECIDE (produced by Ray).
So what do you think?! Personally, I'm super excited. I just wish we could see this event!! Let's pray for a live DVD... and that SchwarzVrain and Raychel BAND will become real bands!!
After yesterday's post about new band GIGAMOUS, you have been wondering what's happening with N@H. Well, don't worry, they're not disbanding―exactly...
N@H announced their second oneman, KAISHIN NO ICHIGEKI (カイシンノイチゲキ), to be held at Ikebukuro EDGE on September 7, 2013. The good news is that N@H is not disbanding at this live―but rather, they are “temporarily stopping full-scale activities”.
To put it another way, N@H is not disbanding, but rather has been demoted to a “when we feel like it” side project. That is, N@H will probably pop up every now and then, but probably not as the main activity of YUKKIE and RAI―that way they can concentrate on GIGAMOUS.
As a side note, it sounds like HEISEI ISHIN was a factor in the fate of N@H and the decision to start GIGAMOUS... Specifically, YUKKIE and RAI were clear from the beginning that they expected yoshi (bassist and leader of HEISEI ISHIN) to join N@H at some point, which would have truly made the project “HEISEI ISHIN's second part”, as it was originally called. But as it became more and more clear that yoshi had no intentions to join a band again, it seems that they were forced to give up on that idea... And since YUKKIE and RAI yearned to return to their original parts (guitarist and drummer, respectively), they began the formation of GIGAMOUS.
Vior gloire successfully finished their 2 year anniversary and last live oneman, XOR vior ~2 Nenkan no Kansha wo Komete~ (XOR vior ~2年間の感謝を込めて~), the other day. It seems that the live was a success, with several fellow ex-UCP bandmates attending and several fans offering flowers to the band. ex-bassist RENA posted the setlist, and I've reposted it below:
01. HYSRIC (ヒスリック)
02. Freezing rain
03. DEATH PARADE
04. INSPIRE (インスパイア)
05. IRONONAI SEKAI (イロノナイセカイ)
07. DEAD the CREATOR
08. Kurui Hateta Genjitsu ni Mita Sekai (狂い果てた現実に見た世界)
09. LILIAS・SOPHIE to Yuuutsu (リリアス・ソフィーと憂鬱)
11. My place
01. ALI (アリー)
03. NAKIHA (ナキハ)
Even though they had very few releases, I'm happy that Vior gloire managed to release almost all of their songs. The only songs we'll never be able to hear are Freezing rain and the fabled New song 1 (which must have been super bad, as I think they played it at only 1 live). Anyway, truly one of the greatest UNDER CODE bands IMO. Let's check out their discography and mourn!
CindyKate disbands today and then Megaromania follows at the end of the month. From there, REALies and F・B are the only UNDER CODE bands left standing (and it seems that REALies will be the only one to make it much farther).
The band will also be selling CDs, of course, including their two pre-UNDER CODE mini-albums. Most of the CDs will be sold for the special price of 1,000 yen, with a few being 1,500 or 2,000 yen. (Conspicuously absent is their best album, NUDY&COOL. Weird.) Attendees who spend 3,000 yen will be allowed to participate in satsueikai with the band.
LIN (凛 -the end of corruption world-) will release a live DVD of their June 30th indefinite activity pause oneman live, Obscure Ideal ~Judgement of fortune~.
The DVD will be released on 2013-08-28 at a cost of 6,300 yen, and will include the entire live (about 150 minutes of footage in total). Furthermore, all copies will include a ticket to a 2013-09-15 special event at which the ex-LIN members will appear (further details TBA). Those who purchase the DVD from the UCP official web shop will further receive a postcard signed bye, and with a handwritten message by, their favorite member, as well as a bonus DVD containing about 30 minutes of footage from the band's live in Taiwan.
By the way, the product number of the release is “LDV-001”, as in “LIN DVD 1”. Translation: the DVD is being released independently by the band itself―UNDER CODE is really over ;(
Megaromania vocalist Sui has revealed that the band will not hold a last one man in Nagoya.
When Megaromania announced their dissolution oneman lives, a Nagoya date was conspicuously absent. The band's reason for this was simply a lack of fanbase there--however, if the band also stated that, if there was enough interest from fans, they would consider adding a Nagoya date.
Sui confirmed today that, despite some expression of interest, it simply wasn't enough to justify the cost of adding a oneman live Nagoya.
Vior gloire announced at their June 8th oneman that they will disband this year.
Previously, guitarists kei and serra, and drummer ARU announced their intention to secede from the band after its June 9th oneman. At the time, vocalist shall and bassist RENA indicated that they would try to somehow move forward with the band―it seems that they've changed their minds.
Vior gloire's last live will be a free oneman on Jully 11th (tentative), and it appears that the original five-member lineup will perform (with kei, serra, and ARU performing as support members). Further details are expected soon. As for the future: kei has retired, and shall has says that he feels too old to try a new band...
By the way, Vior gloire freely distributed CDs with new songs at the June 8th & 9th oneman. I have the tracklist for the 8th version (below), but I'm not sure if the 9th version was any different. I also haven't been able to find more information than that... sorry.
UNDER CODE's last flyer (for the upcoming Treasure Book) mentions that, starting on June 1st, the official web shop will begin a special fair. Although details of that special fair have not yet been announced, the web shop has already put up some very special items!
After graduating from UNDER CODE PRODUCTION, both CindyKate (シンディケイト) and REALies have moved to a new Tokyo-based label called GOEMON RECORDS. Today, May 11th, the label will officially begin activities by holding its first live event and opening its official web shop.
GOEMON RECORDS WEBSHOP currently has the following items:
FUTURISM・BOYZ have announced their first post-UNDER CODE live. The band will participate in a non-VK threeman, at which they will play with no makeup/costumes! They invite anyone interested in a more “adult” FUTURISM・BOYZ to check out the live on June 23rd.
By the way, they're spelling their name “FUTURISM★BOYZ” for this live. I'm not sure if that's a permanent name change, or name only for “adult” version, or what...
With the completion of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's last live on May 3rd, Dali has officially disbanded... However, it seems that they're not done playing with us yet.
If you'll recall, Dali had started a mysterious countdown, posting an image of a number every day, counting down to “0”, which was on the day of UNDER CODE's last live. However, once the countdown reached “0”, the band started a new countdown, starting from “34” this time... This new countdown is paced to reach “0” on June 5th―but I'm not sure what that could possibly mean...
Secondly, I wanted to mention Dali's live-limited releases which they sold at UNDER CODE's last event. First, they sold a second press of their live-limited single from November of last year, ROCKING CHAIR to CREEP (which itself was a 2nd press / complete edition of a two-type single sold earlier in September). The new version has no new content but does feature a new jacket.
More importantly, Dali sold a DVD with footage from their last oneman live (at which they “disbanded”―until they decided to “postpone disbandment” until UNDER CODE's last live). The DVD contains complete footage from that oneman, with the exception of encore songs, which were available instead as two privilege DVDs for spending 5,000 yen on Dali goods.
After graduating from legendary label UNDER CODE PRODUCTION on May 1st, REALies has announced their long-awaited “fresh start,” just in time for summer! The band is back with a high-quality new look and new logo―check above! In addition, they've announced their first release, their live schedule, and several special projects. Check out the full information lineup below:

KISAKI has finally revealed the “UNDER CODE PRODUCTION LAST COLLABORATION”... It's a special collaboration unit band, 「D・N・A」 which will appear on a new tribute to hide omnibus!!
As part of hide anniversary project ROCKET DIVE 2003-2014 (which celebrates the 15th anniversary of his passing, 20th anniversary of his musical activities, and 50th birthday), his tribute album series hide TRIBUTE SPIRITS has been expanded. Throughout these two years, 6 more entries to the series will be released―starting with two visual kei entries, hide TRIBUTE Ⅱ -Visual SPIRITS- and hide TRIBUTE Ⅲ -Visual SPIRITS-.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION special collaboration unit 「D・N・A」 will appear in the second omnibus, covering hide's Junk Story. The lineup of the unit is unknown, but the photoshoot featured all vocalists of UNDER CODE's currently-active bands, plus KISAKI―so, we can assume those people will be involved.
hide TRIBUTE Ⅱ -Visual SPIRITS- will be released on July 1st, 2013. Tracklist is below:
NEGA's collaboration jewelry is available for order from April 21st through May 31st, and orders will be shipped sometime in July. Customers who purchase a bracelet will receive privilege guarantee card TYPE B; those who purchase a necklace in German Silver will receive guarantee card TYPE A; and those who purchase a necklace in Silver925 will receive TYPE A + a specially recorded DVD (contents unknown).
So, will you be buying NEGA's necklace or bracelet? I have to admit, the necklace looks quite good!
Vior gloire guitarist serra has announced that he will leave the band after their June oneman. This makes him the third member to make such an announcement―leaving vocalist shall and bassist RENA as the only members of Vior gloire after June 9th...
KISAKI has been dropping hints about “UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's last collaboration.” Although it's unclear what the collaboration is, we have the following information:
It involves the vocalists of all current UNDER CODE bands―they just did a photoshoot (see above) with KISAKI specifically for the collaboration.
It probably involves music―KISAKI's been in the studio working on arrangement.
It seems to have been decided at the last minute―KISAKI said that he's been in the studio for hours, under intense pressure, trying to finish by the upcoming deadline.
My guess is a last collaboration song, maybe something like KISAKI did with Wataru, RIKU, and Jui in 2007 when 12012, Phantasmagoria, and VIDOLL were graduating from the label (...well, were planning to, anyway). What do you think? Whatever the last collaboration is, we'll find out on May 3rd, when it's announced at UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's last live.
2013-04-30 edit: A special photoset of the collaboration photos (seen above) will be sold at UNDER CODE's dissolution event for 2,000 yen. Cheki from the photoshoot will also be sold, in pairs, for 1,000 yen.
NEGA has revealed the title and cover art for their last song: THE LAST TIMES FOREVER. The song is being distributed to attendees of the band's last tour, NEGATIVISM -WITHOUTRACE-, which kicked off today and ends on the 29th.
On Monday, Dali updated their official blog, posting an image of the number 10. Every day since then, the band has been counting down with similarposts...
The countdown will reach 0 on May 3rd, the date of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's grand finale and dismantling. Dali will appear at that event and officially, officially, disband, so it's likely that the countdown is in regards to that dismandment/dismantling. But, who knows?, it could be counting down to something good... What do you think?
At today's sponsored event, SUZAKU (朱) announced that they intend to pause activities. The band's current remaining activity is as follows:
4/27 twoman with Vior gloire
5/3 graduate from UNDER CODE
5/24~26 coupling sponsored event with Vior gloire
6/15 last sponsored event at Shinsaibashi CLAPPER
6/16 activity pause oneman at Shinsaibashi CLAPPER
Although I loved their first single, I've been very bothered by their apparent-complacency, in the sense that they wrote very little music in the two(!) years since then. So, personally, the only thing surprising about the announcement is that they're not disbanding.
SUZAKU (朱) has announced the lineup for their sponsored event “Daishuen ~Manjushage~” (大朱宴~曼珠沙華~), at which they will make an important announcement.
Of course, it seems certain that the announcement will be disbandment: SUZAKU hasn't written any new songs (AFAIK) in about 8 months, and each month has seen another UNDER CODE disbandment announcement, so...
At yesterday's oneman live, Vior 2013 Spring Shower, Vior Gloire made two announcement: in june, they will hold two oneman lives, 「XOR vior-Evolve-」 and after those, Kei (gt) and アル (Aru) (dr) will leave Vior Gloire. Kei will even stop any musical activity.
Megaromania has announced a slew of special live events to fill in the months before their disbandment. First, they'll embark on their last tour. Then, they'll hold their 5th anniversary festival, and after that they'll hold their last birthday event. Finally, they'll celebrate their 5th anniversary and disband.
Megaromania will embark on their last tour, a Revolving Lantern..., during which the band will play in the cities of each member's birthplace. In each city, the member who was born there will select the setlist and costumes.
Then, Megaromania will hold a special session festival to celebrate their 5th anniversary. The band will play an extended setlist, and various sessions will appear as well (details TBA on May 4th).
Megaromania will hold their last birthday “secret party” oneman on July 5th. In addition to the live performance, they have many special fan-thanksgiving projects planned, and will freely distribute their last memorial goods!
Finally, Megaromania will hold their last 2 days oneman live, THE LEGEND OF CREATION, to celebrate their 5th anniversary. They'll sell a venue-limited new song at the live, and will disband on the second day, 2013-07-31 at Shibuya O-EAST.
SUZAKU has decided to make an important announcement. The announcement will be revealed at their urgently-planned sponsored event on April 23rd at Ash OSAKA.
Furthermore, the band has decided to appear at the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION last tour Nihon Seiatsu FINAL -since 2003~2013- special night on March 15th at Shinsaibashi LIVE HOUSE Pangea. SUZAKU will appear at the opening act on that night.
REALies has announced their graduation from UNDER CODE PRODUCTION!!
The band will hold their graduation oneman live, Reimei (黎明), on May 1st at Ash OSAKA, after which they will be formally independent. This makes them one of the few bands to survive UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's closure. Good luck REALies!
NEGA just finished their DEAR NEGATIVIST fan-thanksgiving live, and the setlist, which was decided by fan requests, has been posted. Check it out below, and catch the request rankings in parentheses―did any of the requests surprise you?
NEGA has announced a special “ultra rare goods” lottery for their fan-thanksgiving event, DEAR NEGATIVIST, which is being held today. Attendees who spend 3,000 yen on goods will be allowed to draw from the lottery and win 1 random item. The possible prizes are amazing, including a recording of JIN's previous band!!
On the 24th, Cu[be] will hold their last oneman and disband. To end on a high note, the band has decided to appear once again with its full 5 member lineup for the last live!
Despite ex-drummer 亜月-athuki- being kicked out of the band for his unspecified misconduct―which also resulted in Cu[be] being kicked out of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION and disbanding―he has been allowed to return for the last live, so that Cu[be] can go out with its highest strength. The decision came with much deliberation and only after getting personal approval from KISAKI.
Cu[be] also announced a special sale of cheki at their last live. Individual cheki will cost 500 yen, and anyone who buys 3 at full price will receive 1 free. Furthermore, old and brand new cheki will be sold, and customers will be allowed to request specific ones for the same price.
NEGA's fan appreciation event DEAR NEGATIVIST is quickly approaching, and the band has opened a special email address through which fans can help choose the setlist!
The email address is firstname.lastname@example.org, and requests will be accepted from February 6th through February 13th. To participate (although there's really no reason to unless you're attending the live!), email your name, requested songs (up to 3), and reason for requesting those songs to the address above.
At last night's celebration of KISAKI's 20 years of activity, CindyKate (シンディケイト) announced their intention to disband.
CindyKate will hold a last sponsored event tour in May~June through their own newly established independent label, GOEMON RECORDS, and then will embark on their last oneman tour. Finally, on July 13th, CindyKate will disband at SHIBUYA O-WEST.
They will also release a two-discs best-album on march 27th, named NUDY&COOL. It features 26 tracks! Details below.
FUTURISM・BOYZ has announced its [very sparse] activity for 2013. The band will hold a oneman show in April, and will release a live-limited single sometime in March (all other details about the release are currently unknown).
LIN (凛 -the end of corruption world-) has announced the full details for their 3rd anniversary oneman, at which they will pause activities indefinitely. As a present to fans, the band has given the tickets a special price of only 1,500 yen.
Before that, LIN will be participating in a “water and oil” twoman show with Ryuketsu BLIZZARD (流血ブリザード). A special present will be given to all those who attend, and special collaboration goods will be sold afterward.
(Ryuketsu BLIZZARD are a band signed to legendary punk label Satsugai Enka VINYL (殺害塩化ビニール), which is home to bands such as QP-CRAZY. The label often skirts the visual kei scene, despite not directly being a part of it—and KISAKI himself is known to be a personal fan.)
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced that, in collaboration with SHOXX, it will release its 10th anniversary memorial last omnibus, High Style Paradox 2003~2013. The mail-order-limited omnibus will be released in March, and will feature all significant bands (32 in total) signed to UNDER CODE PRODUCTION throughout its 10 years of activity.
Those who purchase the omnibus before February 28th will receive a special 24 month calendar.
Because the omnibus is mail-order-limited through SHOXX, it will not be available to overseas customers via usual means. However, I organize a group order as soon as I find a viable shopping service—expect a separate with details.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced its 10th anniversary last tour: Nihon Seiatsu FINAL -since 2003~2013- (日本制圧FINAL -since 2003~2013-). The tour will take place from March 1st through May 3rd, after which UNDER CODE will dismantle.
This morning, KISAKI tweeted a cryptic message: “Something unforgivable has suddenly happened. Must consult with the members and staff immediately. Shit!!!!” Just now, the bad news has been revealed: guitarist MIZUKI has suddenly withdrawn from LIN.
Back when LIN announced their upcoming indefinite hiatus, MIZUKI also announced his intention to withdraw from the band on that date (June 30th—when their last oneman is to take place).
However, it seems that MIZUKI messaged KISAKI this morning and announced his intention to withdraw from the band immediately (January 7th). MIZUKI then refused to return emails and phone messages, rendering his withdrawal effective immediately.
According to KISAKI's official comment on the matter, one of the reasons behind MIZUKI's original intention to withdraw was scheduling conflicts—perhaps school or family conflict. KISAKI says that the band wanted to stay as they were and so they booked lives to accommodate MIZUKI... But I guess he just couldn't wait until June to be free from band commitments.
In the mean time, LIN will continue as a 4 member band. Decisions about their last oneman on June 30th have yet to be made.
LIN has announced their last activity before their activity pause on June 30th, 2013!
First, in March, they'll release a best album! It features a great selection of tracks from their debut all the way to their latest release. More importantly, it also features a DVD with unreleased PV clips, including a brand new one for World In Flames (one of their best songs!).
Included in the best album is Ticket A, part of a double mail-order application to receive the unreleased song Slander Crime. However... that means there's yet another unannounced LIN release to come which will include Ticket B...! Customers who buy both the best album and the yet-unannounced release through the official web shop will receive a personalized last message + live footage DVD.
LIN also announced their last live activity. On February 2nd, 2013, they'll kick off their last tour, Reflect of Killing Fleur. Then, finally, June 30th, 2013, at Osaka BIG CAT, LIN will hold their last oneman live and pause activities indefinitely.
Only the latest casualty in the wreckage of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's closure, the news of Cu[be]'s disbandment is completely unsurprising—they were never able to attract a decent fanbase, making it impossible to support themselves after being kicked from the label earlier this year. Nevertheless, it's still a shame to lose a band who put out consistently solid music and live performances.
Cu[be] has three events remaining: they will appear at LIN guitarist KANATA's birthday event on January 13th, then the threeman with SUZAKU and Vior gloire on February 10th, and finally their last oneman on February 24th.
Today, more information about Arc's one day revival has been released! It seems that PERESTROIKA will hold a one day revival at the event as well, and special session bands Zaidan Houjin Kurojuuji (罪団法人黒十字) and 可菜水木 (Kanamizuki) will also appear.
The memorial event for ex-HEISEI ISHIN (平成維新) vocalist Taku (拓), who passed away two years ago, was just held on December 10th. It seems that the event was memorable and went really well. I thought I'd share the setlists and a few pictures from the event, just as a little reminder of Taku (whose birthday will be tomorrow, December 13th!).

As you know, NEGA has confirmed their disbandment. Accordingly, they've revealed details of their final activities: a new look (above), several live events (below), and two “new” releases (below).
The band will, of course, release a best album in two types. The tracklisting hasn't been decided yet, but it will be 13~14 tracks “hand-selected by the members of NEGA.” The A type includes a PV collection DVD, while the B type includes a bonus new song. Those who purchase both from the official web shop will receive a personalized message + live DVD and a signed offshot photo.
Finally, NEGA will release its final new song as a freely distributed CD during its final oneman tour.
NEGA has announced that it will make an important announcement at its 2012 culmination oneman, BRAND NEW WORLD=THE END OF WORLD, which is being held December 9th at 心斋桥 (Shinsaibashi) FANJ-twice. This isn't surprising to those of us who expected something bad from the ominously-titled live... but hopefully the announcement will be a good one!
FUTURISM・BOYZ drummer 俊 (Shun) has announced that Arc (ex-band of all F・BOYZ members) will hold a one day revival on February 9th!!
Their revival will take place on February 9th at 心斋桥 (Shinsaibashi) VARON, as part of Arc's sponsored event 恶ガキ达のSaturday Night Fever☆!!复活特别编!! (Warugakitachi no Saturday Night Fever☆!! Fukkatsu Tokubetsuhen!!). Further details TBA.
Shun also addressed the question on everybody's mind: “Why now? How can it be Arc without Toshiya?” (bassist of Arc, now known as BB, who left FUTURISM・BOYZ, and won't appear at the event) His answer is that, even though it's not the same Arc that the fans loved, they wanted to do this revival anyway, to stand as Arc one last time during UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's closure.
LOTMAN (ロットマン), the solo project of ex-Dali vocalist Ren (苓), has announced a few lives! This comes as a shock since the project was thought to have been completed (and it was assumed that Ren would be inactive after Dali disbanded). Details below.
The 2012 date is sponsored by rivabook and has nothing to do with UNDER CODE; LOTMAN is just appearing there. The first 2013 date simply says “onigokko somewhere in Tokyo.” But most interesting is the last one―up until their disbandment, Dali held an annual oneman on January 11th, and FAN-J was their base livehouse... I wonder if there's something special planned for that day!
Today, Dali held their final oneman live, and disbanded. The set list was around 3 hours long and featured 5(!) encores. They also sold a final CD (details below). Overall, it seems that the fans unanimously found the live beautiful, and a fitting end to Dali's 7 years of activity.
Just an hour after the live, KISAKI has posted a serious announcement from Dali: Dali will appear at UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's final “dismantling” event in the spring of 2013. In other words, Dali's disbandment has been postponed until that day.
Personally... is the phrase “Dali has postponed their disbandment” different from “Dali will hold a one day revival”? It's not as if they plan any other activity... But anyway, semantics ignored, I'm happy that Dali has just one more performance left. They will be missed.
Their last live-limited CD was ロッキンチェアとクリープ (ROCKING CHAIR to CREEP), a compilation re-release of a two-type live-limited CD (of the same title) from September. This new version features all 3 songs from the original two-type release (which itself had 2 new songs and 1 re-recording), plus 1 additional, new re-recording. It also reveals the titles of those songs (which were previously all untitled).
凛 -the end of corruption world- (LIN) has made an important announcement: they're pausing activities indefinitely.
The band's upcoming December 1st&2nd oneman live to celebrate the release of The Psalms and Lamentations will be their last oneman ever, and the band will indefinitely pause with UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's closure in 2013. The members have released comments here, but I'm personally not able to translate them (they seem to be of the expectedly vague “this is the result of many discussions...” variety).
If you've been a longtime fan of LIN, you'll remember that they paused activities once before. However, that activity was much less formal―it was offhandedly mentioned by KISAKI one day, and lasted only a short time. This “indefinite activity pause” is much more serious: although the term has a slightly less grave meaning than “disbandment,” these things often turn out the same way―and with UNDER CODE closing, it's hard to imagine that LIN will actually come back.
KISAKI has just posted in his blog that UNDER CODE PRODUCTION will close. Below is his message, translated by Ku at Shattered-Tranquility.net:
【UNDER CODE PRODUCTION Dissolution】
In March 2013, UNDER CODE PRODUCTION will face its tenth anniversary.
At the same time it will “dissolve”.
For now the reason is being withheld, but it’s the conclusion of years of complications and drawn-out trouble.
Making this “the greatest 10 year anniversary” and burning out with the related bands & the important companions [fans] who support them: that is now my number one wish.
If the present doesn’t shine, the past and the future won’t shine either… Because of that, with the remaining time, we’ll loudly charge on just like us, and one by one we’ll do our best to to leave no regrets, so please give us your support!!
Specific details and the future of the related bands will be announced at a later time.
KISAKI (UNDER CODE PRODUCTION representitive)
It seems that HEISEI ISHIN will hold a one day revival!
Bassist yoshi has just announced through his blog that HEISEI ISHIN will perform on December 10th to commemorate vocalist Taku's passing on that day in 2010. yoshi also says that it will be the last performance as HEISEI ISHIN. Remaining details will be posted here as they're announced.
Dali held their sponsored event today, at which they finally made their important announcement: Dali will disband.
Before disbanding, they'll release a best album, embark on their last event tour, and then hold a last oneman tour. No specific date has been marked as their disbandment day―I assume it's November 25th, the last day of their oneman tour, but it could also be at a later, TBA, date.
As for the best album, it features a new SE, but is otherwise comprised of previously-released tracks, with no changes. It does, however, contain a few songs which some fans might not have heard before: 25:55 (web shop limited), D PINK NUMBER (live limited remake of standard pink number), and Ryuusei Kouba (live limited). Similarly, all PVs on the DVD are previously-released as well. Full info is below.
Dali ▶ ダリコレ ディスク DALI COLLE DISC 2012-10-104,200 yencollection album CD + DVD
Dali has just announced that they will freely distribute a new song at their August 8th sponsored event, ダリコレ2012 finale TOKYO (DALI COLLE 2012 finale TOKYO).
The “cover art” below accompanied the announcement, but it's not known if it's actually cover art or just a random image. If it is cover art, then the title of the new song is probably “Kaifuuhi” as indicated―if not, then I'm not sure what the song is called!
Either way, the phrase 開封日 is interesting―it means “day of breaking the seal.” Could this possibly mean that Dali's important announcement (which they will make at the event) could be a good one rather than bad?
Dali has announced the finale to their year long sponsored event live series. ダリコレ2012 finale TOKYO (DALI COLLE 2012 finale TOKYO) will be held on August 8th at 新宿 (Shinjuku) RUIDO-K4. At the event, the band will make an important announcement
In 2007, UNDER CODE PRODUCTION sponsored a “Tribute to Phantasmagoria” tour at which all bands payed homage to Phantasmagoria. It has since become tradition for the label to host an annual “Tribute to Phantasmagoria” memorial live on the band's disbandment anniversary. And this tradition continues in 2012!
DAS:VASSER has just announced details of their first release during their limited revival year! As I suspected, it contains some old tracks—but as I didn't suspect, it's all old tracks!
DAS:VASSER will release their compilation “worst album”, 真実ノ「影」 (Shinjitsu no 「Kage」), on April 4th through ELE-Music (HIDEAKI's record label). The worst album will contain six of the band's legendarily crazy songs for 2,625 yen.
Do you know DAS:VASSER? They are a legendary visual kei band from the 90s and 2000s. Along with Madeth gray'll, they were the top band at Matina!!
2012 marks their 15th anniversary, and so core members KYOHEI (vocalist, who is also in visual punk band NUMBER MOUSE) and HIDEAKI (bassist, who now has his own record label, ELE-Music, which famously hosted Ru:natic and Vallquar) decided to revive the band for a limited period of 1 year. They've already done photography with new costumes, and they look amazing!
DAS:VASSER plans to release a new album this year, but in the mean time you can buy a digital copy of their last mini-album (released independently) through Amazon for $5 USD! (I also highly recommend their last Matina mini-album, シンクロ (SYNCHRO), although that has to be purchased elsewhere.)
Because and asked for them and maybe some more poeple are interested I decided to translate the member-comments on La'Mules OHP and post them here. Neither my English nor my Japanese are perfect, so there are propably some humble sentences. Please don't hesitate to correct me!
Since their formation, La'Mule have been recklessly focusing only on moving forward as a band. Actually looking back at that time I think the tough days were propably predominant. But in those tough days, days of suffering, days of sorrow the ones who rescued me more than anyone else were our fans who gave La'Mule their love. For rescuing me at that time I feel gratitude from the bottom of my heart. Sacrificing my everything for the band I also lost a lot. However, each time I felt how much our Fans loved us I was able to take another step forward. Finally, despite our bitter decision to go on indefinite hiatus in 2003 I kept hearing calls of fans who wished for our return, the fact that poeple still loved La'Mule so much made me happy, but it also made me suffer of regret. Honestly, I had mixed feelings. I myself have entered the stage as Kon of La'Mule again two times, at O-East and Akasaka Blitz. But they were only events and it wasn't the original lineup that everyone knew. . As for Blitz, the songs we could play were so few, I think the extreme bellyache it caused us was inevitable- so we decided to hold a oneman. With the original members Kon, SIN, NAO, ISUKE and YOU-YA.
That those oneman shows on the 5th and 6th of april at shibuya REX will end up being our last performances... that is the result of long discussions between all members. The reason being, due to various personal motives, even if we resumed activities they'd be considerably limited and we can't do these things by half-measures. Much rather than doing it halfways we want to draw a straight line and bring it to an end. That is the final answer we've come to.
After the Shibuya REX shows on April the 5th and 6th 2012 La'Mule will be disbanding.
Let's merge together once more, and make it a live that will remain in our hearts until we die. We will sacrifice everything of La'Mule. So please, just for those two days, sacrifice everything to us and go insane.
Vo. Kon ---
Disbandment... that word doesn't really have a positive connotation... With those performances on april 5th and 6th La'Mule will switch from activity pause to disbandment.
I think there are many poeple who came to love La'Mule after they went on hiatus and also many old fans who kept waiting for our revival.
Reviving from hiatus, resuming activities halfways... what to do~? ... This time the five of us tried to find a clear solution together and that's the result. So much time passed since then... and now it's just the short period of two days, but the sillouette and sound of those five poeple, sense them with your own eyes and ears. Then please carve them into your heart.
We will do the same.
Personally, this is my first live after quite a long time but I feel no anxiety or anything.
I wait expectantly for the day we all meet again.
Gt. SIN ----
With their 2 days live on April 5th and 6th La'Mule will be disbanding.
Taking each members respective thoughts and personal situation into account this is the result we came to.
Deep inside, after our live on August 29th 2003 even though we used a different word, I believed it was the same as disbanding... Various people invited me into new bands and sent me introductions but due to my mental condition at that time I turned them all down. For a long time I lived a life in which I completely refused music itself, not to speak of touching a guitar.
Some day at the time animesongs became popular among my friends they convinced me to listen to a track. something like"Come to think of it, didn't you mention that you used to play in a band?" came up. Starting from that occasion, even though it was little by little I started to remember the joy of music and how I had once devoted my whole life to it. Even though refusing music left five years of blank space in my life all feelings of rejection were gone. Instead I was more like "because this song is good I want to copy the guitar-part" and so on. There was something incredibly nostalgic like the feeling of holding a guitar in my hand for the first time and yet it changed into a new mysterious sensation.
After this I started to casually listen to music like I used to, which led to being able to play guitar again.
Then recently, I received the invitation to that revival-event at Akasaka BLITZ and in the same lines the upcoming performances on april 5th and 6th were decided which now turn out to be our last ones.
Frankly speaking, as someone who once threw away music completely I'm insecure as to what extent my current self is ready for this step. To the other members that I needed until the very end, all the poeple who support me and even though it's been almost 10 years, to all Lamukko who's sight has been carved into my eyes across the stage of that August 29th forever: In my life there are too many things I have to burden, therefore I promise that during these two days I'm going to enjoy myself to the fullest with everybody in the hall for one last time.
And even when 2012/4/5 and 6 have passed I'm sure SIN, ISUKE and NAO will continue playing this melody, YOU-YA will continue beating the rythm and Kon will continue singing this song. Inside of everyone who knew La'Mule and in your heart they will continue playing forever.
Gt. NAO ---
Since 2003 a long time without activities had passed when La'Mule had their revival in November of last year. Yet, while discussing our future plans with all members we reached the conclusion that being able to do something worthy is unimaginable as long as we have to restrict our activities due to individual reasons. We decided that after our oneman 2days at Shibuya REX in April 2012 La'Mule will be disbanding.
La'Mule had their first live in January 1996. That live also happened to be the first time I stood on stage myself and having performed with all my might from then on until we paused activites my emotional attachement got really strong. So strong I had been looking forward to the time of our complete revival no matter what kind of sound we'd produce and now I feel so incredibly disappointed (about our decision). However, we only made that decision because the band called "La'Mule" is still very important to all of us.
Doing this to all our fans even though we made them wait for such a long time is truly inexcusable.
You never stopped supporting us and yet we end up disbanding. I'm so sorry.
We decided that from now on each member will go his own way without that frame called "La'Mule" around him. Kon and YOU-YA are already active in NightingeiL and NUMBER MOUSE. And because I think that SIN, NAO and in the end myself may be up to some sort of activity as well, please remember us.
Everything that has a beginning has an end. Every end is the beginning of something new. I'm sure the day will come where we meet again.
I was really glad I could play in this band called "La'Mule"
To everyone who supported La'Mule for such a long time, thank you very much.
Ba. ISUKE ---
Recently after being on hiatus since 2003 La'Mule decided to resume activities and participated in an event at Akasaka BLITZ. Then a 2 days oneman-performance in april was announced. However, resulting from discussion putting each members personal motives together it turned out that we'd have to restrict our actions considerably and because we think resuming activities by half measures is an insult to all the fans instead we should rather...
We decided to make a cut after these oneman-shows and disband.
To all our fans who have been waiting for us since such a long time, thank you very much.
La'Mule (ex-Soleil, ex-parent label of Matina, band) opened their official web site today. It features a really nice profile page with great photos and each member's comments about disbanding (maybe someone can translate?), so I recommend checking that out. (It also features a particularly bad discography page, which doesn't come close to listing all their releases, and for some reason features biography entries, which are also woefully incomplete.) It also has a link to their newly opened blog.
As previously mentioned, UNDER CODE is supporting ex-「あゃ」 (「Aya」) [and ex-chariots support] drummer 兼継 (Kentz) by sponsoring his “last stage” events. It turns out that “last stage” doesn't just refer to musical retirement...
Through a press release, Kentz has revealed that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He wants to take the stage one last time to, quite literally, celebrate the last stage of his life. Below is a rough translation of his statement:
I've come to understand that I have terminal cancer, and I decided I wanted to return to the stage in my short remaining life, so I talked with the ex-「Aya」 members about a revival live.
Each member, despite his current activities, willingly agreed and so we set about determining the details.
It crossed my mind that I was with chariots two years ago.
Since this will probably be my life's last live, I thought chariots should by all means appear and suggested this idea to KISAKI, who agreed.
At first I intended to produce the event myself, but since I didn't have any experience I found it difficult to book a lineup, and so I contacted KISAKI (who has considerable experience with event production) and he agreed to arrange everything.
For KISAKI's willing agreement, I am truly grateful.
KISAKI has been involved in many crossroads in my life.
Back when 「Aya」 was expanding through Kantou, whenever we had office problems, he constantly invited us to chariots lives and always kindly gave us advice.
And now, with my cancer battle, he tells me “don't give up”.
In that way my respect for KISAKI has grown considerably, and for his help producing my last live, I am truly grateful.
After all of this, I consider him an older brother.
Everyone, please come to my life's last stage and burn the images into your eyes and commit them to happy memory.
If you recall, during chariots' final tour, RIKU announced that chariots would be resuming activities during 2012 rather than disbanding as originally planned (...). Well, no major announcements have been made yet, but the band's first live in 2012 has been announced.
chariots will take the stage in April to celebrate previous support drummer 兼継 (Kentz) as he retires from music. This live, SELFISH DREAMER with DEAR FRIENDS, will presumably take place over two days at unspecified livehouses in Tokyo and Osaka. No other details have been announced.
I thought that RIKU had announced chariots would be reviving as a full band, but it seems to still be a solo project: the chariots lineup for that day features RIKU and guest players guitarist シノ (SHINO, ex-SCISSORS), bassist 迅 (Jin, ex-UnsraW), and drummer 鈴音 (Suzune, ex-AND).
You might recall that La'Mule (who were once a band on Soleil, the parent label of Matina) performed at the KISAKI PROJECT sponsored 90s visual kei revival event last November. And at that event, La'Mule announced that they would perform again during this summer. Well, details of that summer performance have finally been revealed.
La'Mule will disband (they had officially been on an activity pause since 2003) this April with a two day live, last bloody world. Tickets will be available on February 20th at the band's official website—even though they haven't yet told us the website's address! (I believe that the live will be a oneman, but I haven't found confirmation of that yet. Will update when I do.)
Do you know La'Mule? They're an old band, but a really good one! I recommend their album CLIMAX—it's a visual kei classic!
As you know, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) members YUKKIE and RAI has formed a new band called N@H. Here are some bits of information that I've been wanting to post about them.
N@H is pronounced “NOAH”, but also stands for new organization at HEISEI ISHIN. Apparently, when they announced their disbandment, HEISEI ISHIN had secretly been planning to reform under a new name; N@H was one of the possibilities.
ユッキー (YUKKIE) acts as the vocalist and guitarist (in HEISEI ISHIN he was only a guitarist). ライ (RAI) acts as DJ and programmer (in HI he was the drummer).
YUKKIE and RAI apparently plan to leave the bassist position unfilled indefinitely, in hopes that HEISEI ISHIN bassist 善 (Yoshi) will one day join (although it doesn't seem like this will ever actually happen).
For now, the band relies on several support members:
support guitar: 雨宮 流斗 (Amamiya Ryuuto) (ex-ClearVeil)
support bass: Ena (also support for SATSUKI solo project Aurora feather)
support drums: Takeshi (カメレオ (KAMELEO))
support drums: 嶋村 ひかり (Shimamura Hikari)
support staff: Ryuta Washio
N@H is managed by ex-Anjyu' drummer りーた (Riita) (formerly known as 姫雛~hina~). The band is under an independent label called PRIMARY COLORS, presumably started by Riita.
The band has already released a mini-album. It was available at their first live (and presumably consequent lives), through AOO Store, and through Like an Edison (neither of those places sells to overseas customers). When purchased through Like an Edison, the mini-album includes a privilege comment DVD.
2011-12-11; 2,100 yen; mini-album CD; published by PRIMARY COLORS; PCNH-001
01. -Uzi on Iramijah-
02. FLY HIGH!!
03. スペース (SPACE)
A couple of N@H goods are already available: a scrunchie, a towel, and a t-shirt. Again, these are available through AOO Store, but it does not sell to overseas customers.
SUZAKU has published their revival photos! Remember, bassist 絆-kizuna- and drummer 火憐-karen- are new to the band. SUZAKU will hold their revival oneman, 鳳凰天舞 (Houou Hirai), on 2012-01-21 at 心斎橋 (Shinsaibashi) CLAPPER.
L→R: V. 樹-ituki-, G. 鴉-karasu-, G. 葉月-hazuki-, B. 絆-kizuna-, B. 火憐-karen-
朱 (SUZAKU) had a fateful meeting with KISAKI yesterday... and the outcome is that they've decided their complete revival! (Short and sweet: the band never disbanded or paused activities, but they were unofficially inactive due to losing two members.)
As I suspected, bassist Shigure left the band, even though it was never officially announced. So as part of this decision to completely revive, the band has announced their new lineup:
Vocals: 樹-ituki- Guitar: 鴉-karasu- Guitar: 葉月-hazuki- Bass: 絆-kizuna- (new member) Drums: 火憐-karen- (new member)
Additionally, they've announced their complete revival oneman!
New photos and other information (hopefully a release!) will be announced on December 1st. Yayyyy!!!
As you know, chariots started out as a band, but became RIKU's solo project after “disbanding.” As a solo project, chariots has been only intermittently active—and according to RIKU's blog, as of the end of this year, chariots will end forever. Before ending, chariots will hold one last tour, subculture Final-edition.
Cecir updated the E'm ~grief~ blog to note that today, August 19th, marks the 3rd anniversary of the band's first live at Shibuya O-WEST. He hopes that the fans and band members can celebrate the next one together.
It's not very much, but Cecir wants the band to come back, at least. I really hope that will happen soon.
It's just been announced that Pashya will hold yet another one day revival. This one will take place during the 朱 (SUZAKU) sponsored event, 朱宴-宵- (Shuen -Yoi-), which will be held on 2011-06-19 at ESAKA MUSE.
Thanks to ViSULOG, we finally have some official announcements regarding Vior gloire! The band has announced its first release, its first live/sponsored event, and its first oneman. But let's start with their first official photo!
Notice that the costumes in this photo are completely different from the original picture that was secretly uploaded to the OHP. I have no idea why KISAKI would allow money to be wasted on two sets of costumes and two photoshoots—maybe the band changed its concept, or maybe they had a pre-formation lineup change? Well, whatever the case, that second lineup we found (ex. the one with RENA) is the official one.
Anyway, on to their first live details! Although we know the band has secretly done lives as Vior, it seems that their first official live will be a sponsored event in July. Later in the month, the band will hold their first oneman. An unspecified present will be freely distributed at both.
And finally, release information, alright! Vior gloire's first release will be a maxi-single, to be released in August. ...And that's it! Kind of a simple way to debut, but I guess it's my fault for expecting a lot after all the confusion about them. Anyway, details~
Vior gloire -
インスパイア (INSPIRE) 2011-08-17; 1,575 yen; maxi-single CD; sole pressing; UCCD-296 01. (Unannounced new song) 02. (Unannounced new song) 03. (Unannounced new song)
Tidbit: the name of SUGAR FORKFUL's first event was alsoCocktail Party. Rest in peace ;_;~
I still have so many questions about them: what is the point of Vior? do the two bands have truly different lineups, or just different member names? why wasn't the band revealed April 1st as planned? why did they spend money on new costumes and new photoshoots without ever revealing the first ones? why are you so angly? answer me my queltion!
Well, I guess we may never know the answers to all of Vior gloire's mysteries, but at least they seem cool. The new costumes look so much more professional than the last ones (even if less unique), and I'm super excited about their first release. What are your thoughts about everything?
ネガ has finally announced their full revival. And the first order of business is a name change! The band has officially changed their name to NEGA to represent their new period. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without a new look ↓
NEGA has made several announcements today (—in bits and pieces, so sorry for editing the post so much). The main one for us is a new maxi-single! But they've also announced their new name, a new group photo, their revival live, a live distributed CD, and a European tour.
First, let's discuss lives: NEGA has announced that they will revive with a oneman held on July 26th at O-WEST! The oneman will of course mark their revival, but also their 6th anniversary. To celebrate, NEGA will freely distribute a CD containing a new song and a message from the band about their anniversary.
Although they haven't released details, NEGA has officially confirmed the European tour that many of you have heard rumors about. That tour will occur in September. In October, the band will hold a Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka tour, details TBA.
Edit: I originally posted that EVOL and DOOLB were new songs featured on second discs. This is not the case; EVOL and DOOLB are the names of the second discs, which contain remakes of old songs.
NEGA's first release will be a maxi-single, to be released in three types. All three types will feature the same two new songs, but will differ in bonus content. Type A will include a PV, while types B and C will include a second disc (titled EVOL and DOOLB, respectively) with remakes of old songs.
Each type will include an application form; the three forms can be redeemed for a PV making DVD. The privilege for buying all three types from the official web shop is an early ship date (2011-07-01), a signed cheki of the member of your choice, and a message CD.

It's cute of them: I guess this technically isn't a revival, but a “reunification.” You know how they had those weird subtitles for every PERESTROIKA event? Well the latest one is “NEGA ‘reconstruction’... and ‘reunification’ is coming to pass” and the title of their revival live is “PEREUNION.” Get it? PERESTROIKA REUNION |D
Hi guys~ I guess this is kinda Undercode...(well they use to be and are good fuckbuddies with Kisaki-sama) So I was curious who watched their last live and what were you're thoughts on it?! It was totally worth getting up at 3:00am for....but it just seemed like Jui wasn't putting too much effort into things at times...though the stage diving was pretty freakin sweet~ if I were those little Asian girls I wouldn't let Shun go either XD I'm pretty sure I'm rambling as I'm a little bit tired....so yeah GO~ talk...and stuff :D
First of all, Megaromania will be release a new mini-album! (No other details are available.) To celebrate the release, as well as their 3rd anniversary (yay!), they'll be holding a three-day sponsored event—which seems to be a threeman, but they're not calling it that, so whatever:
Then, as a special thanks to fans of Megaromania, the band will hold a special night live. At the live, Megaromania will play all/some new songs from the mini-album, and several special session bands will appear.
Oh, and this doesn't fit here, but I never posted about it, so: purchasers of Oath -cross of eternity- could mail in proofs of purchase from both types and would get a pamphlet for Megaromania's The Quintessence Voyage in return. I don't know what the time limit on this offer is or if it was affected by the earthquake. At any rate, you'll have to live in Japan or get someone there to do it for you if you plan to send in for this gift. (Sorry that I've reported this so late!)
In the MC during Nega's set at last night's UNITED LINK for JAPAN charity concert, the band announced that it will revive with a 2011-07-26 oneman at 渋谷 (Shibuya) O-WEST. Before that, they'll play another one-off live on 2011-06-04.
KISAKI says that details should come shortly, presumably within the next few days.
Ok, this is super late; as in, like 6 months late. I just managed to never post it somehow, so forgive me!
Anyway, if you recall, Arc session band Mizufuusen and Nega session band NEP held two versus lives at the end of 2010, and the loser of those versus lives was to disband. As you can guess, the loser was Mizufuusen. Their last live was set for 2011-03-20, but was pushed to May due to the earthquake. So, finally, here's the info for that live:
So they had their first revival live with Ayano! So I found some of the images! (I've been curious to see what Ayano is looking like now!) I'm just putting these up so they are all in one place and people don't have to blog trawl on the ever down Ameba >>
Kisaki's ever tiny images first XD!!
Giru and Rame's better Quality ones!!
Then.....we have this gem in size and quality courtesy of Shun!
Shun and Giru look so happy XD!! <3 What do you guys think~? I personally think this is most likely my favourite line up Kisaki and Kansai Kizoku have ever had ^__^! But it also makes me wish they would just make it as a real band XD! Because it would have 4 members I loved in their old band! (I'm a big Arc and Vidoll fan and they are my favourite two members of each XD!) It's also great to see Ayano after so long too~
The Nega guys have updated their blogs today, and it seems that a revival will soon be upon us!
Jin made an Amember-only post, where he basically criticizes some aspects of the current scene, but also explains how he wants Nega to be the best, unique. He also confirms that they've started concrete plans for their revival, and he even says that they hope to put out a second full album! (This is far from announcement of a release though; it's simply a wish that he has.)
According to Ray's blog, the guys have already met with ID-JAPAN about costumes for their revival. He seems excited and promises that the time we've waited for Nega's return will not have been in vain; they have absolutely evolved for the better.
And finally, Yuu, in the PERESTROIKA blog, confirmed that PERESTROIKA is a time-limited band and that their time will soon be up. Nothing really mind-blowing there, but it's good to have confirmation.
So! It seems that we'll soon be hearing some announcements about Nega's revival. Hopefully we can expect Nega to come back with full force in the summer!
I forgot to post this, over and over. I'm really sorry that it's so late now.
平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) will hold their final stage at the flower ceremony for deceased vocalist 拓 (Taku).
This must be really confusing, so here is a complete recap, from their graduation announcement to today's ↓
In July of 2010, HEISEI ISHIN announced that they would graduate from UNDER CODE in September of that year. After graduating from the label, HEISEI ISHIN announced a trio of oneman lives in December--Dec.7, Dec.8, and Dec.11.
In October of 2010, the band was revealed to be a special guest at UNDER CODE's New Year's Eve live. However, in November, the band announced that they planned to disband. Effectively, the band was set to disband on December 31st.
Unfortunately, vocalist Taku passed away on December 10th, 2010, just a day before the band's planned third oneman. That oneman and the band's appearance at the New Year's Eve live was cancelled. The band had effectively never held their disbandment live, but bassist and leader Yoshi later revealed that he still considered December 31st to be the band's official end.
However, on January 25th, 2011, Taku's uncle met with Yoshi. The uncle asked Yoshi, and the other members of the band, to take the stage one last time at Taku's memorial flower ceremony, which is set to take place on February 1st. Therefore, out of respect for Taku's family, HEISEI ISHIN will take the stage one last time.
HEISEI ISHIN's final stage will be held on 2011-02-01. HEISEI ISHIN has and forever will be a five member band, so all five members will take the stage (Taku presumably through projected footage). Their final stage will commence at 18:30, which was to be the starting time of their last oneman on December 11th.
Yoshi asks that everyone sings along and looks toward HEISEI ISHIN on their final stage.
It's a little late now, but the address of the flower ceremony/final stage is: 〒530-0047 大阪府大阪市北区西天満4-15-18 B1F
Cecir updated the E'm ~grief~ blog yesterday, and although I won't insult you guys with my terrible translation, I can give you the gist:
He acknowledges that the phrase “indefinite activity pause” doesn't have a good reputation but he emphasizes that, both the MC at their last live and the Cure article about it stated that E'm ~grief~ absolutely will come back. He specifically says “E'm's activity is not over yet,” and that they're working every day toward an eventual revival.
So that seems pretty reassuring. On the other hand, Vsoku, for some reason, thinks that drummer 摩珠 (Maju) has left [been kicked out of?] the band. That tidbit seems pretty uncertain, and I can't find anything to back it up, but it's not as if a drummer is important for E'm's music, right?
Hopefully we'll see a revival in the spring or something. Any thoughts?
UNDER CODE OHP has just updated with official Megaromania details!
First, according to their new flyer, 2011-01-01 marks Megaromania's complete revival! Second, it's officially confirmed: 邑詩-yushi- is now the official drummer. Now that the band is “completely revived” as a five-member unit, they've made some changes to commemorate the event: a new look and new logo. You can see both in their new flyer.
Next up, it seems that the predictions I posted yesterday were right: Megaromania will release the first single of their complete revival on 2011-03-23. The single is called Oath-cross of eternity- and will be released in two types, featuring the same title track + a different coupling track. For this first press of the single only, three very special bonuses will be included:
An application form for an unannounced special gift
A randomly selected card of 6 total
A bonus CD containing a live recording from Megaromania's first complete revival live at the UNDER CODE New Year event on 2011-01-01
Oath-cross of eternity- -A Type- 2011-03-23; 1,365 yen; complete revival first maxi-single CD + application form for special present + 1 randomly selected trading card of 6 total + first-press limited bonus live CD CD 01. Oath-cross of eternity- CD 02. Crimson First-press limited bonus CD 01. Cardinal Sin (Live on 2011-01-01)
Oath-cross of eternity- -B Type- 2011-03-23; 1,365 yen; complete revival first maxi-single CD + application form for special present + 1 randomly selected trading card of 6 total + first-press limited bonus live CD CD 01. Oath-cross of eternity- CD 02. Ideal future First-press limited bonus CD 01. Punish for pain (Live on 2011-01-01)
And finally, a oneman to celebrate the release of the CD, to be held at Shibuya O-WEST!!! The oneman is called The Quintessence Voyage, and will take place on 2011-04-01. As a special bonus, a CD containing a brand new song will be freely distributed at the live.
(Unknown title) 2011-04-01; 0 yen; live-distributed single CD 01. (Unknown title)
The single sounds great—I'm glad there are only two types this time hahaha! And O-WEST... That's absolutely huge! 600 capacity, which is way bigger than anything they've done before. If you know anyone in Japan, better bribe them to go |D Let's all wish that this can be Megaromania's best year ever!!
If you recall, Megaromania was to make an announcement at the New Year live last night. Well, there hasn't been any official announcement on the web yet, so I can't confirm, but this is what 2ch had to say:
Support drummer ゆうし (Yuushi) has officially joined
New release on 2011-03-22
and oneman at O-WEST on 2011-04-01
The support drummer officially joining is all but official confirmed, and the oneman has been reported by multiple people as well. Only one source at 2ch mentions the new release, but that's not a stretch of the imagination. I'll update as official details come out.
Exciting isn't it?
UNDER CODE has just announced its 8th anniversary (!) event, DYNAMITE EXPLOSION. The event will take place over three days: 2011-03-06, 03-08, and 03-10. The event seems pretty standard, aside from Lycaon participating, but there is one really cool thing about it...
hurts will hold a one day revival! Pretty cool huh?
It's good to see that most of the UCP bands will be participating. I was hoping to see some mysterious, unknown bands playing the event, but no such luck. Guess this means no new UNDER CODE bands like we were hoping. Oh well, congrats for lasting 8 years! Let's hope the label lasts many more :D
Edit: KISAKI updated his blog saying that a new UNDER CODE band will appear!!! Hopefully he means a truly new band and not that Lycaon is joining. That would we weird.
According to unofficial sources, Arc's important announcement today was that they are disbanding in April. This hasn't been officially announced online yet, so no other details are available at this time.
I'm very sad and very disappointed :( I sincerely hope that this is the last bad news to come out of UNDER CODE for a while.
This is Heisei Ishin Yoshi's blog post about their disbanding. It was longer than I thought ;_;, but I hope it will help people who cared about (or were wondering about) Heisei Ishin and Yoshi to find some answers or plain to move on.
Nov 30, 2010 Heisei Ishin
I'm truly sorry for making everyone sad with the sudden announcement. Throughout the 2 months since our graduation from the [production] office, I've been considering my future from here on.
In the approximately 2 and a half years since Heisei Ishin formed, there were fun things, difficult things, things that we laughed about, things that we cried about, really all sorts of things. Up until now I haven't been able to see the value of my existence aside from being in a band, so these 2 months have been a very hard time for me. From the discussions I've had with the other members, I realized that it was difficult for everyone to head towards the same direction, and aim for the same goals. It's getting harder to keep going in this halted state, so we came to this conclusion. It's just that I like the members we have now, so I want each person to work hard in their chosen path. I believe there will come a day when I can think this choice was not a mistake.
As a leader I was lacking in many ways, but I'm truly grateful to the members who continued with me in spite of that, KISAKI-san who always supported us, the UNDER CODE staff, all the people who participated in Heisei Ishin, and all the Ishinko who supported us.
I've experienced various things over this period of 2 and a half years. There were many difficult things, but I think it's because of everyone that I never once thought I wanted to quit. Properly speaking, we should be the ones to cheer up everyone, but I think there's only been me receiving encouragement from everyone. I'm sorry I wasn't able to give anything back.
About what will happen after disbanding, right now I haven't found an answer yet myself. Maybe I won't stand on the stage in a band again. I think it's impossible to find something better than the current members. If there was a time when we could all head in the same direction, I think I'll want to stand on stage again.
The Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka one-man lives starting in December, Because Heisei Ishin won't revive again, I think it will really be the last. I think I want to be on this stage with my entire band life.
Everyone who came along with me, I like you From my heart, Truly thank you
Heisei Ishin Yoshi
Edit: Quick summary on each member's future plans, from scanning their blogs
Yoshi: Not sure yet. Probably won't be back without the original Heisei Ishin... which doesn't look too good at this point. Yukkie: Definitely wants to continue doing music, just not sure how yet. Jill: Will retire the name Jill after disbanding. Will examine what is important to himself and what he should do in the future. Rai: Hasn't really thought about the future yet. Just wants to tell everyone that he wants to always continue playing drums. But, he only wants to be in a band with Heisei members as well. Taku: Disbanding isn't a sad thing. Disbanding = the first step towards a new life.
This month, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) announced their first post-UNDER CODE activities: a series of oneman lives through December called BREAK MY LIFE-SIZE!. However, I never posted about them here because I was waiting until the band announced something more concrete about its future (which label it would be with, what genre it would be switching to, etc.). Well, they finally announced their plans:
After their appearance at UNDER CODE's new year countdown event, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) will disband.
Their reasoning is that, after graduating UCP, the members couldn't come to an agreement about what to do next. So, with regret, they've decided to just disband. They thank everyone for supporting them for so long, of course.
Honestly, I don't get it. What's the point? Shouldn't you have figured this out before leaving the label? Not cute guys. What do you think?
It was officially announced the other day that Anjyu' and 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) will both be appearing at the 関西制圧2010~2011 (Kansai Seiatsu 2010~2011) new year event. But we already knew that, so~
(By the way, if you remember, UNDER CODE was supposed to make the third special announcement on November 1st. I assume that this was intended to be the third announcement, and was just made early, but there's still a chance that UNDER CODE still has a trick up its sleeve.)
Ok, this is sort of convoluted, but stick with me: remember the new omnibus I posted about this morning? UNDER CODE just uploaded a flyer advertising it. I guess UCP is actually involved with the omnibus somehow (I thought it was just SHOXX), because there's an additional ad at the bottom of the flyer for the 関西制圧2010~2011 (Kansai Seiatsu 2010~2011) event.
Ok, keep stickin' with me: remember how UCP said there would be three special announcements? The first being ClearVeil, the second being announced on Oct. 21st, and the third being announced on Nov. 1st? Welllll~ I think UNDER CODE gave them away early with that little flyer. So, without further ado~
Anjyu' will hold a one day revival at the event!
平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) and Nega will be appearing!!
My guess is that Anjyu' was the second announcement and that HEISEI/Nega was the big third announcement. But maybe there are other announcements in store, who knows? In any case, those bands will be appearing and that will be awesome. However! Beside HEISEI and Nega, there is some Japanese phrase that is too small for me to make out. It probably says “special guests” or something, but maybe it says “will definitely not be appearing, don't get your hopes up loser.” So just take this as rumor for now, I guess.
Just a tiny update: E'm ~grief~'s activity pause oneman will take place on 2010-12-29 at aube shibuya, and will be called The end of ~grief~.
Additionally, Rita posted two entries about the activity pause here and here. One of them specifically seemed to give a glimmer of hope (something implying they would be back) and then take it away again (implying they won't be). It's a bit verbose for me to try translating, so hopefully someone here can D:?
Looks like UNDER CODE's resident session bands 水風船 (Mizufuusen) and ㈱ネガエンタープライゼス ((Kabu) NEGA ENTERPRISES) will be holding the ultimate showdown: the loser of this epic live battle may be forced to disband!
水風船 (Mizufuusen) lineup:
V. 総長 (Souchou; KO-JI of Arc)
G. ケエト (KEETO; of Dali)
G. 希 (Nozomi; ex-ClearVeil)
D. 俊 (Shun; of Arc)
㈱ネガエンタープライゼス ((Kabu) NEGA ENTERPRISES) lineup:
営業部長. 儿 (Head of sales. Jin; of Nega)
お茶汲み. SAN (Tea server. SAN; of Nega)
派遣社員. Yuki (Temporary worker. Yuki)
代表取締役. Ray (Representative director. Ray; of Nega)
庶務二課長. 優 (Chief of general affairs. Yu; of Nega)
Who do you hope/think will win?! Personally, I couldn't bear to lose Souchou~
I posted earlier about Nega's temporary activity pause. Details of their last lives before the pause have already been revealed! The band will hold two oneman lives in September, and will officially pause activities (temporarily!) after the second one.
By the way, the Engrish in the titles is intentional. For whatever reason, they decided to switch the endings of the words (it's usually “restructure and destruction”), even with the Japanese subtitles too. I guess they just like being weird~
Last night, Nega held their 5th anniversary oneman live, Depart[ure] ~審判の夜~ (Depart[ure] ~Shinpan no Yoru~). Their important announcement was that the band will be temporarily pausing activities.
The activity pause will begin on 2010-09-23 after the second of two oneman lives*. The members say that it's truly temporary and that it doesn't mean disbandment. They are taking time off to recharge their batteries and to prepare for a surge of activity in September.
SAN personally promised that nothing bad is happening, so don't worry! However, I wonder what the band is preparing for. New member? New album? What do you think?
平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) will graduate from UNDER CODE PRODUCTION on September 30th.
According to their comment, the reason is that, in their upcoming third year as a band, they'd like to expand past visual kei. After meeting with KISAKI, he agreed to let them graduate from the label. (They made sure to mention that, although they seem selfish, they are very grateful to him and the label.)
On 2010-09-15, they'll release a selection best album entitled REVOLUTIONS in two types. Then, on 2010-09-28, they'll hold their graduation event, ENDLESS VOYAGE, at 大阪 (Osaka) BIG CAT. There, they will announce the details of their next stage.
(I'll post more live/album details later, for anyone that doesn't find out themselves!)
Didn't see this coming at all, although the Let's flying away restorator!! live names make sense now. Kind of sad that they were UNDER CODE's first successful mainstream band in a while and they have to leave. But at least they're not disbanding!
This obviously isn't UNDER CODE news, and most of you probably know already, but they were part of the family once, so I'm posting it anyway!
Apparently ジュイ (JUI) has been having problems with his throat for a significant period of time, and it's finally become too much for him to hide. As his vocals fail more and more, he and the band decided to pause activities on 2010-09-18, so that he can get surgery and hopefully correct the problem.
There's no telling how long they'll be gone, but he said it might take around a year and a half for him to recover (please check out his full statement at Shattered-Tranquility). Let's all hope that he'll recover much sooner than that, and that he'll be singing like his old self again.
Megaromania revived on the 15th, and their “rebirth” is in full effect! (Thanks to for pointing this out.)
① First and foremost, they're releasing a new maxi-single in four types! The maxi-single is called AURORA -destines of world-, and all four types will come with that title track. The A type will also include a DVD with a PV for the song, while the B, C, and D types will simply include different bonus tracks. One of ten randomly selected trading cards will be included with each CD. And the official web shop privilege for buying all four is a cheki of the member of your choice plus a live DVD with footage from the band's revival live on the 15th.
② To celebrate the release, they're holding a unique five month sponsored live campaign called destinies of world ~一夜に魅せる二世界の創造~ (~Ichiya ni Bakaseru Nisekai no Souzou~). The dates and cities of the lives have been chosen, but [unsure about the translation here, could be majorly wrong:] the specific live house is actually for the fans to vote on and choose! The possible locations are:
2010-08-14: 高田馬場 (Takadanobaba) AREA & CLUB PHASE
2010-09-20: 渋谷 (Shibuya) CHELSEA HOTEL & aube shibuya
2010-12-19: 目黒 (Meguro) 鹿鳴館 (Rockmaykan) & LIVE STATION
③ Finally, as mentioned before, they have a new look. It's seriously awesome! Their picture has been changed at the OHP, as have their profile pictures. Also, a new flyer has been posted!

What do you guys think? I'm pretty excited! And man, 蜘影-Chikage- is unrecognizable to me!
Just a quickie: at their revival live last night, Megaromania announced that a new release is coming. They haven't announced what type of release, when it will be released, etc., but those details should be revealed through the OHP soon.
Also, KISAKI posted a picture of the guys' new costumes. Pretty dramatic. (By the way, that's not a new drummer, but E'm ~grief~'s drummer on support.)
① At the 水風船 (Mizufuusen) vs. ㈲ネガエンタープライゼス ((Yuu) NEGA ENTERPRISES) live last night, ㈲ネガエンタープライゼス ((Yuu) NEGA ENTERPRISES) sold their first single. The single came in five types, each one having the same song but a different comment track. Each type had the same cover art to make it impossible to visually tell which version is which. But on the plus side, they were all signed by the band! The single was live limited, so your chances to get it are gone... Yeah, I know, kind of late notice, but they didn't even announce it until the day of the live!
② The covers of Nega's NEGATIVISM album were posted at their official blog some time ago. You can see the A type here and the B type here.
③ Megaromania is preparing for their comeback and recently held a photoshoot. KISAKI posted a small preview of the shoot here. Another is at the official Megaromania blog here. Looks good!
④ chariots held its revival live as a solo project on the 3rd. The lineup, for those interested, consisted of RIKU (obviously) with support members: guitarist 悠 (Yuu) (ex-ゾディア (ZODIA)), guitarist ASHITO, bassist 憂里 (Yuuri) (Cu[be], ex-chariots), and drummer zodd (ex-ゾディア (ZODIA)).
ClearVeil is disbanding. They will be holding their last oneman tour, Termination, through June and July. The first oneman will take place on 2010-06-20 at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock May Kan). The second will take place on 2010-06-30 at 難波 (Nanba) ROCKETS. And finally, on 2010-07-04, ClearVeil will hold the third oneman of their tour at 名古屋 (Nagoya) E.L.L and will officially disband.
The day before they disband, 2010-07-03, they will hold their last sponsored event, F・R・e・A・k Party #2, at HOLIDAY NAGOYA. Details regarding the “last party” will be revealed soon.
This screws up the eight month release campaign they promised. If they continue releasing up until their disbandment, they'll get to volume five of the campaign. But I wouldn't be surprised if they just unofficially cancelled it now and released a best album later.
The reason for their disbandment? The usual “we don't agree on the direction of the band,” which kind of makes sense since they've been going in a more mainstream direction. But still: why announce eight months of releases if you can't commit to that?
① KISAKI and UNDER CODE PRODUCTION are sponsoring the live area side of this year's STRAIGHT LIFE event on 2010-06-06. The event is basically a massive tattoo convention featuring over forty tattoo shops, pole dancers, an S&M show, a DJ, and live bands. As I said, KISAKI is producing the live side, and he's chosen 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) and BALZAC to headline. Additionally, VAGERKE, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN), 宇宙戦隊NOIZ (Uchuu Sentai NOIZ), The ROMEO, In The Enz, and WHITEBLACK will also appear.
② 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) will also be appearing at Kaya's ソドムの晩餐 第一夜 (SODOM no Bansan Daiichi Yoru) event on 2010-07-03 at O-EAST. The cool thing about this event is that La'Mule will also be holding a one-night revival! (Which is totally relevant since La'Mule was signed to Soleil, which was the precursor of Matina.)
③ VISUNAVI will be kicking off a new event series, SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010, in Kansai. And, well, you can't say Kansai without saying UNDER CODE PRODUCTION, so the live will fittingly be UCP supported. The specific show is called SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010 ~Phantasmagoria MEMORIAL TRIBUTE NIGHT~ and will take place at 梅田 (Umeda) SHANGRILA on 2010-08-31 (as if any other date was possible!). 凛 -the end of corruption world- (Lin) will be performing and カレン (KALEN) will hold a one-night revival. The rest of the lineup hasn't been revealed yet.
④ Eternal and CLIMAX ENTERPRISE are having a one-day revival and co-sponsoring a crazy event. (How is this relevant? Eternal was a sub-label of Matina and CLIMAX ENTERPRISE was the next version of Eternal.) The event is called ETERNALISM†CLIMAXISM and will take place on 2010-08-08 at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock Maykan). 弥生 (Yayoi; president of Eternal), E'm ~grief~, and ex-members of Syndrome, Earl Grey, and Kilah will appear, along with many, many others (I've only mentioned the ones relevant to UCP/Matina). Additionally, guests are allowed to exit and re-enter one time (which is rare), a secret guest will appear, a spur-of-the-moment guest will appear, and a large session featuring everyone will be held at the end of the show. Pretty freaking awesome!
⑤ Edit: Forgot this one, which was the whole reason I made this post! Anyway, Shinobu (vocalist of the perpetually inactive band Zephyr) is getting married! And since he and KISAKI are such good friends (Zephyr was once a Matina band and their comeback mini-album was to be released through UCP), he's holding a special live event to celebrate. The event is called Shinobu HAPPY WEDDING LIVE PARTY ~みんなに幸せおすそ分け・リターンズ~ (~Minna ni Shiawase Osusowake ・ RETURNS~) and will be held on 2010-05-02 at ESAKA MUSE. This basically means a bunch of Matina bands are holding one-day revivals (I love this trend!): Lavender, Zephyr, MIRAGE, DAS:VASSER, Eze:quL, ZXS, vellaDonna, Lagna, DERAIL, オルゴール (ORGEL), Distray, and a large session of random members called Shinobu&Friends. Obviously, not all of these bands will have complete lineups (ex. RUIZA definitely isn't showing up for Distray), but it's still super awesome. I wish UNDER CODE would film and release these Matina lives!
Well, it's official: chariots will still be around. The former band is now officially RIKU's solo project. The project's first live will be on 2010-05-03 at ESAKA MUSE. The live, subculture, is sponsored by chariots and will also feature Nega and 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN).
I was stalking ameba blogs again and on erize's (kelli) blog I came across this:
SUPPORTED by UNDER CODE PRODUCTION 「SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010」 ～Phantasmagoria MEMORIAL TRIBUTE NIGHT～
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 31st in 梅田SHANGRILA.
The only bands participating I know about are 凛 (Lin) and カレン (KAREN/KALEN) who will have a one day revival that day.
The actual post can be found HERE. I've noticed a similar post on Nao's, Setsuki's and Takaya's blogs. Maybe there will really be just those two bands playing, who knows. If you find more info let us know!
((Please tell me how should I tag this! Thanks～))
((Not sure if anybody's noticed, but they've changed Megaromania's picture. It's their profile pics together, without Leda though))
Phantasmagoria began a limited revival on December 31st of last year. Part of the limited revival included a 60 minute premium live to celebrate the release of their maxi-single Diamond Dust. According to an interview, the members originally contemplated embarking on a full revival after the live, but eventually decided against it. That, along with KISAKI's announcement to form a new band, means that Phantasmagoria's Diamond Dust in Truth ~新たな約束~ (Diamond Dust in Truth ~Aratana Yakusoku~) live on April 5th at 大阪 (Osaka) BIG CAT will be their last ever. This post is a recap of all the important information regarding that day.
① On April 4th, the night before the live, the band will hold a special instore event at Like an Edison. Only those who purchased Diamond Dust and Seeds of Brain from the Osaka branch of Like an Edison received a ticket to the event. Phantasmagoria will hold a talk session and sign copies of Diamond Dust (but nothing else).
② Everyone who enters the live hall will receive a bag with three glow in the dark bracelets. The bracelets come in blue, green, and pink, and everyone is asked to wear them to create atmosphere during the live. You can preview the bracelets here.
③ The band will hold their last-ever fan photography session immediately after the live. The first 300 attendees to purchase over 5,000 yen's worth of goods will be entered into a raffle. 100 attendees will randomly be selected from the raffle, and those people will get to take part in the fan photography session. The 200 people that lose the raffle will be given a small consolation prize.
④ Original goods exclusive to the event will be sold at the live. Also, a special gachagacha (capsule toy) machine will be set up before the live at 16:00 JST. The machine will contain many special Phantasmagoria items such as photo booth prints, tissues, stickers, and photographs.
⑤ The Osaka branch of closet child will be holding a special promotion on the day of the live. If you purchase five or more articles of clothing (brand names only; clothing, purses, shoes, etc.), you can receive a special signed polaroid of Phantasmagoria, taken just before the live. The shop will have a desk set up at the live hall from 16:00 to 20:00 JST. If you're actually interested, see this page for more information.
⑥ A two-type memorial CD, actuality, will be sold at the live. The A type will include a DVD with live footage from Phantasmagoria's March 19th live. The B type will include a bonus track. The CD will is live-limited, so attending the live will be the only way of purchasing it. More specific details can be found in this post.
⑦ The entire event will be streamed online in real-time. This is thanks to a partnership between Phantasmagoria and INDIVISUAL. The event will be streamed live, for free, through USTREAM, for fans all over the world to see. The live stream is scheduled to start on 2010-04-05 at 18:00 Japan standard time. Please see below for more details.
As I said, Phantasmagoria's last live will be streamed online in real-time thanks to a partnership with INDIVISUAL. The stream will be hosted at USTREAM.
Want to watch the Phantasmagoria last live stream online? Here's how:
Bookmark the official INDIVISUAL Facebook or twitter. The USTREAM channel may change on the day of, or they may get started late or have technical difficulties, etc. So be sure to check these official sources before the event is scheduled to start.
The event starts on 2010-04-05 at 18:00 Japan time. (That's 5 AM on the US east coast and 2 AM on the US west coast.) Use this site to convert to your time (be sure to input the correct date as well). Although the stream is supposed to start at 18:00 JST, the live itself is not scheduled to start until 19:00 JST. Be aware of this.
Want to record the Phantasmagoria last live stream*? Here's how:
This event will be streaming, and most downloaders won't work with it. Test out your downloader beforehand on a USTREAM live stream to see if it works.
I will be using Replay Media Catcher to record the live stream. I have already tested it and it does work for streams. Due to a bug, I've had to reinstall it every time I restart my computer, but it does work after that. Check that it's working before the event starts.
You can download a trial version here. The trial version only saves 75% of the recording. The full version of the program is $39.95 USD, but, well, if you want to download a cracked version from a torrent site, I certainly can't stop you...
Please encourage your friends to record the live as well. As of right now, I'm the only one that plans to record it, and I may not wake up in time, my computer my break down or freeze, my internet connection may go out, etc. These things often happen to me at crucial moments. So! I encourage you to try to record the event, and I hope you'll ask your friends to do the same. The more “backups” we have, the more chances there are for someone to actually get the full thing. If none of us record it, this moment will most likely be lost forever!
Do you need help using the program, or with something else? You are more than welcome to contact me for help. You can leave a comment here, send me a private message over LiveJournal, or send me an email at email@example.com.
* USTREAM events are sometimes made available for streaming afterward, but I don't expect it in this case. Let's record it just in case.
* INDIVISUAL may say that it's not allowed to record the event. Hopefully they don't, but if they do... Well~
That should cover everything, I think. Feel free to ask questions. And I hope all of you are able to watch this awesome event! Only about one more day until it takes place, and Phantasmagoria disbands for the last time!
① 凛 (Rin) recently finished their costuming, and finally had their official photography session today. I wouldn't be surprised if more sessions were planned, but hopefully they'll reveal these first official photos soon. KISAKI was kind enough to provide two tiny sneak peaks: here and here. They look pretty promising to me! What do you think?
② Megaromania has already announced their comeback! They will celebrate their 2nd anniversary with a sponsored event, 美醜の館 -Metempsychosis- (Bijuu no Kan -Metempsychosis-), on 2010-05-15 at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock Maykan) and on 2010-05-22 at OSAKA MUSE. Of course, an unannounced present will be distributed to those who attend. According to KISAKI, the lives will also kickoff a nationwide tour. No official drummer yet; a support drummer will be playing at the lives. (Side note: KISAKI says 憐蛇-Leda- “graduated” rather than left the band. I wonder if he's sticking around at UNDER CODE~)
③ I think I forgot to mention this before: Megaromania's 2010-03-31 activity pause live was filmed. The attendees got to write their names and addresses down. Those attendees will have their name appear in the credits for a DVD of the live that will be shipped to their home at a later date.
④ The covers of the new Arc single, コントラスト (CONTRAST), have been revealed. Here's the A type and the B type. Neither one of them looks that good, though ;x
④ If you recall, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) just held a twoman with ν. As part of the UNDER CODE 7th anniversary celebration, photosets featuring the two bands are on sale at the OFFICIAL WEB SHOP.
⑤ 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) is holding a twoman with 愛狂います。 (aicle。) on 2010-05-14 at ESAKA MUSE called 大阪brilliant city (Osaka brilliant city). According to official information, a “secret plan” will be enacted on that day, whatever that's supposed to mean!
⑥ 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) is also holding a coupling tour with 花少年バディーズ (Hana Shounen BADDIES) and guests ALiBi and DOGinThePWO. The tour is called ストレンジラボラトリィ (STRANGE LABORATORY) and takes place on 2010-06-18 at HOOK SENDAI, 2010-06-19 at 新宿 (Shinjuku) Live Space MARZ, 2010-06-25 at 名古屋 (Nagoya) HEART LAND, and 2010-06-26 at OSAKA MUSE. Another “secret plan” will be enacted during the lives, but I still have no idea what that's supposed to mean.
⑦ Nega recently began filming their NEO DESTRUCTION PV. So far, it's just forest and some old tunnels, but it should be cool anyway. KISAKI and the members posted a few preview pictures: 1, 2, 3, 4.
More stuff to post, but I'm ti-r-ed. Maybe there will be a mass post part three~
① Phantasmagoria is collaborating with INDIVISUAL and USTREAM to bring us something very special. Phantasmagoria's 2010-04-05 limited revival finale live will be streamed live online to the whole world!! This is extremely special, as the live sold out long ago.
The event live stream will start at 18:00 JAPAN TIME, which is 5:00 AM US Eastern Time (on a Monday). It's pretty early, but hopefully many of us can make it! (And hopefully record it~) I'll post reminders and more details closer to the date.
2010-04-03 Edit: Please see this post for more information about the stream.
② Phantasmagoria is releasing a new mini-album! But here's the catch: it's live-limited. The mini-album will only be sold at Phantasmagoria's 2010-04-05 “60 Minute Limited Premium Live,” which signals the end of their limited revival. In accordance with that, this CD really will be Phantasmagoria's last release ever. (At least according to VISUNAVI. Who knows?)
The mini-album is called actuality, and it will be released in two types, one with a live DVD and the other with a bonus track. The live DVD was recorded at the 2010-03-19 live that they just held. There are no plans to sell it in regular stores :( Hopefully that will change.

We've all been around long enough to know that plenty of people will complain about the release and make fun of KISAKI. But like I said with the announcement of Diamond Dust and Seeds of Brain: any Phantasmagoria is good Phantasmagoria!
And letting the whole world watch their last live for free? That's fucking awesome!
① KISAKI has made an important announcement to all fans. As you know, on 2009-12-31, Phantasmagoria began an activity revival. However, this revival was never to be permanent. Therefore, Phantasmagoria's limited revival will end on 2010-04-05.
However! After much deliberation, KISAKI has decided on his future. KISAKI is officially coming out of retirement, and, later this year, KISAKI will form a new band and continue activities. He knows that many people will disagree, but asks that true fans come with him.
Quite a surprise... I expected the big announcement to be a full Phantasmagoria revival. Guess not.
② Phantasmagoria's online event is still going on! The guys just came back and started tweeting again. I'm keeping track of important events at my previous post here. Also, a bunch of us are chatting about the event. Feel free to join your fellow friends at the online event chat!
① Megaromania has been featured on VISUNAVI's main page. As you know, Oblivious (details here) will be the band's last release with its current lineup. Each member of Megaromania gave an official comment about that news in the VISUNAVI feature. You can read their comments here.
② According to 翠 (Sui), Megaromania will pause activities after the release. However, he promises that the band will return. Hopefully they'll stick to that.
Cure is sponsoring a really cool, three-part online event to celebrate Phantasmagoria's limited revival.
On February 1st, Phantasmagoria will be in the Cure offices to do a cover shoot. The photography session will be streamed live for everyone to see! To see the stream, you'll need to follow these steps:
Apply for the event via twitter. Note: They haven't announced specifically how to apply yet, but I will post again when they do.
February 1st, 9:00 JAPAN TIME is when the stream will start. Use this site to convert to your local time.
Note: Cure's English translation says that it starts at 9PM Japan time. However, the original Japanese doesn't mention AM or PM, and the Japanese usually use a 24 hour format... Also, the Japanese facebook post lists the event at 9AM. So I'm assuming 9AM Japan time is the start, but I could be wrong.
Secondly, the members of Phantasmagoria will also be tweeting on the official Cure twitter (Cure_office) throughout the shoot.
And finally, photographs and videos of Phantasmagoria will be put up on Cure's official Facebook.
2010-02-01 Edit: It turned out that the “live streaming” aspect was just live tweeting from the members of Phantasmagoria and Cure staff. However, they answered tweets from fans. Also, no videos were posted.
If you're going to try to catch the event, be sure to get the correct time! The event starts in Japan time, so you'll need to convert first. Mark your calendars! And of course, I'll make another post if anything changes.
① Sort of old news, but Phantasmagoria has announced a oneman for 2010-04-05 at 大阪 (Osaka) BIG CAT. The live is called Diamond Dust in Truth ~新たな約束~ (Diamond Dust in Truth ~Aratana Yakusoku~). Here's the catch though: it's a “60 Minute Limited Premium Live.” Tickets are being sold at the special price of 1,500 yen, and they're being sold exclusively through UNDER CODE's mobile site from 2010-01-20 through 2010-01-31 (after which they go on general sale).
② VIDOLL's シュン (SHUN) is having a birthday event at 目黒鹿鳴館 (Meguro Rock Maykan) on 2010-02-15, and some UNDER CODE artists will be there (along with people from other bands): KISAKI, JUN and IORI, ex-VIDOLL members ヒデ (HIDE) and ユキネ (YUKINE), and all the guys from Arc. And more people will be announced in the future, so I'll update if any other UNDER CODE guys are showing up.
③ After their tour final, The Prophecy of the XXX, Nega will be sponsoring an event to celebrate their 5th anniversary (wow!). The Counting Song of the XXX will take place on 2010-04-30 at 渋谷 (Shibuya) O-WEST. spiv states, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN), ケミカルピクチャーズ (CHEMICAL PICTURES), 己龍 (Kiryu), ベルベット (Velbet), DragonWAPPPPPPER, Zip.er, and amber gris will be appearing. Those who attend will receive a present.
④ 総長 (Souchou a.k.a. KO-JI of Arc) and りゅうと (Ryuuto) of ClearVeil are sponsoring an event. 地下☆ドル ~愛込めさせて頂きます~ (Chika ☆ DOLL ~Ai Komesasete Itadakimasu~) will be held on 2010-04-16 at 秋葉原 (Akihabara) CLUB GOODMAN. Arc, ClearVeil, and special session band 秋奈名原 -アキナバラ- (Akinabara -AKINABARA-) will perform.
⑤ I previously mentioned Megaromania's last lives with the current lineup. Well, the names of the lives have been revealed: Oblivious of farewell. The final show will be recorded, and those who attend will get their names put in the credits of the eventual DVD release. The DVD will be mailed later to those who attended the show.
⑥ Arc is sponsoring two birthday events. color踊る脚 -KO-JI BIRTHDAY EVENT- (color Odoru Ashi -KO-JI BIRTHDAY EVENT-) will take place on 2010-04-29 at OSAKA MUSE and will feature Arc, 【PaRADEiS】, HEAR, and ClearVeil (as a guest). Then, color踊る指先 -俊 BIRTHDAY EVENT- (color Odoru Yubisaki -Shun BIRTHDAY EVENT-) will take place on 2010-05-21 at 池袋 (Ikebukuro) RUIDO-K3, and will feature Arc, MoNoLith, DANGER☆GANG, and Dali (guest). A special “secret” DVD will be distributed at both events.
⑦ To celebrate their upcoming single, Dali is sponsoring four events under the name パルスプラス4アカデミーズ (PULSE PLUS 4 ACADEMIES). The first two will be at 池袋 (Ikebukuro) RUIDO-K3 on 2010-04-10 and 2010-04-11. The final two will be held at 心斎橋 (Shinsaibashi) FANJ-twice on 2010-04-24 and 2010-04-25. A different present will be distributed at both pairs of lives.
⑧ Finally, シンディケイト (CINDYKATE) will sponsor an event to celebrate their upcoming CD. メトロポリスは今どこに?! (METROPOLIS wa Imadokoni?!) will take place on 2010-05-01 at 渋谷 (Shibuya) LIVE HALL aube shibuya.
The album announcement is a few days old, but the reason behind it isn't...
① This March, Megaromania will release a two-type “selection album” containing ten “unobtainable,” previously released tracks. This means anything from the band's first singles, which are now sold out, is fair game. Each copy of the album will include one of six trading cards. The A type, or “gorgeous version” will come with a DVD containing 40 minutes of live footage, while the B type (normal version) will include a bonus track.
② The band will hold three oneman lives to celebrate the release (however, the titles of the lives have not been announced). The first will take place on 2010-03-24 at HOLIDAY NAGOYA; the second, on 2010-03-25 at HOLIDAY OSAKA; and the third, on 2010-03-31 at SHIBUYA BOXX.
③ Finally, Megaromania will be losing member(s). That was revealed last night in the band's official blog. Who/how many will be leaving hasn't been revealed, but it's bad news regardless. Hopefully they won't disband...
Megaromania - Oblivious -豪華盤 (Goukaban)- 2010-03-10; 3,990 yen; Selection album CD+DVD; UCCD-257A; Limited pressings
CD 01~10. “Unobtainable” previously released songs

01~10. “Unobtainable” previously released songs

So still no word on an official revival, but... Phantasmagoria is releasing two new CDs!
① In 2007, prior to their decision to pause activities, Phantasmagoria was actually going to go major. Their major debut single was to be 神歌 (Kamiuta), and now they're releasing what was going to be the coupling track on that single. Diamond Dust will be released on 2010-03-10 with a bonus DVD containing footage from the 首都制圧 (Shuto Seiatsu) countdown live that took place last night.
② Apparently, through 2006 and 2007, Phantasmagoria actually wrote several songs that were never released. These songs are now being collected and released in the form of a mini-album with a bonus track (a KISAKI SLAVES' song which was previously only live-distributed). Seeds of Brain will be released on 2010-03-10.
Phantasmagoria - Diamond Dust 2010-03-10; 2,625 yen; Single CD+DVD; UCCD-258; Limited pressings CD 01. Diamond Dust CD 02. Diamond Dust (Instrumental) DVD 01. 30 minutes of live footage from 首都制圧 (Shuto Seiatsu) Seeds of Brain 2010-03-10; 2,100 yen; RARE TRACKS mini-album CD; UCCD-259; Limited pressings 01. Seeds of Brain 02. Cry... 03. Desperate Resolution for my Soul... 04. KISAKI SLAVES: My Mental State... (Bonus track)
秋都 (Akito), 知 (Tomo), 絽希 (Roki), and 零也 (Reiya) are leaving chariots. That's right, 戮 (Riku) will be the only remaining member. The band's final tour with the current lineup, carnage opera, will take place from 2010-02-14 to 2010-02-27 throughout Japan.
The members have posted comments here (in Japanese) if anyone wants to read them. It seems that chariots will continue, for a while at least.
Let's look on the bright side and hope that this will somehow be beneficial to chariots in the end!
I've refrained from posting Dali news, since there were constant updates for a while. But now that everything seems to be over, here goes!
① As of today, サキ (SAKI) is no longer a member of Dali. From their 2010-01-11 revival oneman and oneward, Dali will be a four member band.
② ロットマン (LOTMAN), the solo project of Dali vocalist 苓 (Ren), held its first live earlier today. The band's maxi-single, UNTITLE, was sold there (a little more than a week before its official release). Attendees could also purchase a live-limited one track CD for 500 yen (the title of the release was not announced). Attendees who stated at the entrance that they were there to see ロットマン (LOTMAN) also received ロットマン特製コメントCD (LOTMAN Tokusei COMMENT CD). Lastly, anyone who bought either a) the maxi-single and live-limited CD or b) three polaroids was allowed to bring a camera and have a picture taken of themselves with 苓 (Ren).
③ The cover of ロットマン's (LOTMAN's) maxi-single UNTITLE was revealed through Dali's mail magazine. It can be seen here.
④ The lineup of ロットマン was revealed, but it seems that the support musicians may be switched out in upcoming lives.
① 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) has a new sample up at the UNDER CODE OHP. The sample is for their new song リプレイ (REPLAY), and can be found here.
② Two more bands have been announced for UNDER CODE's 首都制圧 2009~2010 (Shuto Seiatsu 2009~2010) New Year countdown event. First, シンディケイト (CINDY KATE) has been announced as an additional band. Second, the special countdown guest has been revealed: Phantasmagoria.
(For the full, updated lineup of the event, please see this entry.)
Details of 首都制圧 2009~2010 (Shuto Seiatsu 2009~2010), UNDER CODE's New Year countdown event, have been released. As previously stated, it will take place on 2009-12-31 through 2010-01-01 at 東京キネマ倶楽部 (Tokyo KINEMA Club). Special goods will be available at the live. The lineup is as follows:
晄 (Aki) (ex-Lamina, hurts, Mëbíus, AZALEA) injured his hand, and has been unable to recover in time to appear at 江坂制圧2009 5DAYS (Esaka Seiatsu 2009 5DAYS). Because of this, there have been changes to the bands he was to perform with:
2009-09-21, 尾張浪速組 (Owari Naniwagumi) will replace him with 希 (Nozomi) of ClearVeil
2009-09-22, hurts' one-day revival is canceled
2009-09-23, Mëbíus will replace him with 憂里 (Yuuri), ex-chariots
2009-09-23, AZALEA will replace him with 梁 (Yam) of Schwein
① KISAKI wrote in his blog that E'm~grief~ will have an announcement in August. What it's regarding is unknown. He asks us to look forward to it and to anticipate it. Cecir mentions that he's excited to "lift the ban on the new information". Judging from this context it appears to be a positive announcement.
② E'm~grief~ has also finished up a new photo shoot, and KISAKI gave us a nice little preview here. Cecir also posted a picture of an elaborate set... a possible PV?
③ Both KISAKI and Cecir have confirmed that the band has recorded a new song!
② ClearVeil's new look has been posted at the UNDER CODE OHP, but only in the flash movie on the main page. The pictures should be up at their profile soon. Details of their new release and its UNDER CODE NET SHOP privilege have been announced. A tour final oneman has been announced. Voice to remind you of awake -Time of awakening- will take place on 2009-10-10 at 池袋 (Ikebukuro) CYBER. A special DVD produced by drummer 成華 (Naruka) will be distributed to those who attend.
③ Dali's new look has been posted at their section of the UNDER CODE OHP. A two title best album has been announced. Those who buy it can apply for a special DVD. Details of the best album and its UNDER CODE NET SHOP privilege have been posted. The album is labeled "first period Dali best album," implying that a member change or disbandment will be announced eventually.
④ Tracklistings for Megaromania's singles have been revealed.
⑤ The cover of SIVA's best album was posted a few days ago. See it here.
⑥ The covers and tracklistings of chariots' mini albums were revealed a few days ago. See the covers here.
⑦ A special UNDER CODE event, 江坂制圧2009 -5DAYS- (Esaka Seiatsu 2009 -5DAYS-), has been announced. Each live will take place at ESAKA MUSE with a different theme.

2009-09-22: -一日復活祭!!- (-Ichinichi Fukkatsusai!!-) featuring one-night revivals of Aliene Maφriage, Anjyu', hurts, Pashya, and a guest appearance by 罪団法人黒十字 (Tsumidan Houjin Kurojuuji), the chariots × Dali session band.
2009-09-23: -Matina PRESENTS 2009- tentatively featuring MIRAGE, DAS:VASSER, vellaDonna, LAYBIAL, オルゴール (ORGEL), AZALEA, Mëbíus, Distray, Eze:quL, Zephyr, and a guest appearance from ∀NTI FEMINISM.

① brodiaea unveiled new costumes at their 覚醒する鼓動 (Kakuseisuru Kodou) event yesterday. Unfortunately, they also announced that they will indeed be pausing activities. Fortunately, they use the term "activity pause" instead of "disbandment," and they say that it's a positive decision, so we'll hopefully see them come back after a few months.
② Of course, with any disbandment or activity pause, brodiaea will be releasing a "3rd anniversary selection album," A.K.A a best-of. The album is entitled trace of abyss, and will be released on 2009-07-29. More details will be announced soon (assuming the UCP staff actually gets around to updating the OHP).
① For uh, some reason, another date has been added to UNDER CODE's 日本制圧2009 tour. The special event will feature 平成維新 (Heisei Ishin) and ネガ (NEGA) in a twoman live/BATTLE! Get ready for a mouthful of a name: 「日本制圧2009 -SPECIAL EDITION-」 -ネガ VS 平成維新 ツーマン公演 地下線霍乱維新党～平成NEGATIVISM～- (「Nihon Seiatsu 2009 -SPECIAL EDITION-」 -NEGA VS Heisei Ishin TWOMAN Kouen Chikasenkakuran Ishintou ～Heisei NEGATIVISM～-) will take place on 2009-05-30 at OSAKA MUSE. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.
② Oh, also, SIVA's new flyer has been put up at the UNDER CODE OHP. It can be seen here. It mentions something that's happening on the OHP on 05-21, but I honestly have no idea what it is. The flyer also mentioned that those who buy SIVA's best album through the UNDER CODE NET SHOP will receive a special DVD containing their last live.
(For those who don't remember, the original tour final was set to be five random lives by UNDER CODE bands. A final tour final was later tacked on at the end, and now there's a special edition scheduled after the final final (which took place last night). It's not a bad thing that UNDER CODE does stuff like this, but it's definitely amusing.)
① Dali will be sponsoring a new event on 06-27. The even is entitled TOUKYOU SUMUSUMUMURIKU MELLOW and is to be held at Shinjuku RUIDO K4. The lineup consists of Dali, SIVA, Secilia LUNA, Ashe', JIGORO, ALSDEAD, Lupo Label, and M. (Anyone know what that bit in the middle of the title means?)
② Unsurprisingly, a SIVA best album will be released before they disband. It probably won't be worth buying for most people since SIVA already has two best albums, but it at least includes a new song, gaNeza. Details are below.
④ Also, SIVA's page at UNDER CODE has been updated with comments from the members about their disbandment. I can't really say what the comments say, since I don't know Japanese, but hopefully someone will kindly translate them. View the members' comments here.

① KISAKI announced some big news on his blog today. First, it seems that UNDER CODE is to have a new sub-label: HAUNTED HOUSE RECORDS. The label's first release will be a best album for the band FLESH FOR FLANKENSTEIN. I honestly don't know much about them; they're somewhat old, and the project of former ALUCARD vocalist 伊集院 明朗 (Ishuuin Meirou? Corrections welcome). They seem to be kind of a big deal though; KIYOHARU is to be the guest vocalist on some songs on the best album, and the cover of it was done by Rockin'JellyBean (who have done work for ROLLING STONES and other big names). Those who buy the album from the UNDER CODE NET SHOP will receive a special CD. The band's website for now is here. I'm not sure if they're to be something permanent like VAGERKE or if they're going to be like Deshabillz.
② The other big news is that UNDER CODE will be releasing two new items from Kneuklid Romance and supporting their one day revival. (Kneuklid Romance was part of an older generation of visual kei bands who went major.) The first release will be a brand new single in two types, one of which contains a new PV. The other release is a four disc, remastered best album box set (disc 1 and 2 are best albums, disc 3 features remastered versions of the songs from their first demotape, which was limited to 10 copies, and disc 4 features a tribute track). All releases will come with an application for a special history DVD, which can be reserved until 2009-08-31. The revival live, Phantom ～phantom of the 10th year～, will be on 2009-06-27 at Tokyo KINEMA Club. The band's official site, http://www.kneuklid-romance.com/, will fully open on the 23rd.
These releases seem to be of a really high quality, and they all come with bonuses of some sort, so you should check them out (especially if you are actually interested in these bands)! It's pretty awesome that KISAKI is supporting these older bands lately.

① So it looks like Lamina won't be disbanding. They will, however, be changing members at some point. Before that, they're releasing a full album to commemorate their current lineup. The album has 13 songs total, some of which are new (how many are new isn't being announced, but, knowing UNDER CODE, it could be one new song or something).
① [From the UNDER CODE OHP] More awesome news for ネガ (Nega) fans: the band will be releasing two brand new singles next year. There are no types, every song is new, and the tracklistings are already announced. Pretty cool! There's also an official privilege; those who buy both new singles at the same time will be eligible to receive a special DVD of some sort. No details regarding the DVD have been given, but more information will be available in the packaging of the CD's themselves.
② [From the UNDER CODE OHP] Dali will be sponsoring a new event called pain paint collection on 2009-02-13 at 心斎橋FANJ-twice (Shinsaibashi FANJ-twice).
③ [From KISAKI's blog] Arc will be holding a "triumphant return" two-part oneman live on 2009-02-22 at 生駒RHEB GATE (Ikoma RHEB GATE). The event is being called N・A・R・A, and the first half will start at 15:30, while the second half will start at 19:00. In his blog, KISAKI said that each part will be different, so fans should attend both!
④ [From KISAKI's blog] One of the staff at UNDER CODE, Staff N, will be having a birthday celebration event! The event will take place on 2009-02-07 at HOLIDAY OSAKA and will be called 暴走天使 ~Birth of "N"~ (Bousou Tenshi ~Birth of "N"~). The event is to feature Arc, Megaromania, and 平成維新 (Heisei Ishin), along with session bands DHaRiM (comprised of members from ダリス (Dhalis), M, and MaRiLL, all Planet CHILD Music bands), T.K.F.M. (featuring (Takafumi), Zodd of ゾディア (Zodia), 静-siz- of ネス (Neth), and 陽悸 (Youki) formerly of Madieduor), and 水風船 (Mizufuusen) (an ongoing session band that features KO~JI of Arc, SAN of ネガ (Nega), ケエト (Keeto) of Dali, and Ray and 優 (Yuu) of ネガ (Nega)).
⑤ [From KISAKI's blog] Arc, Dali, and (Nega) fans take note: According to KISAKI, 水風船 (Mizufuusen)--the session featuring members from those bands--will be releasing a special CD at the 暴走天使 ~Birth of "N"~ (Bousou Tenshi ~Birth of "N"~) event. The CD will be limited to about 100 pressings and will be for sale only at that live. Pretty cool though.
① (Both of these are kind of late updates, but that's the fun of being in school) Brand X has posted information for the final release of Anjyu'. Unsurprisingly, it's a best album (thus making Anjyu', what, the fourth UNDER CODE band to announce one recently?). As of right now, it seems that none of the tracks will be remastered or re-recorded, but there is a new track (or multiple new tracks?). It's also not really clear of the album will contain tracks only from their time as an UNDER CODE band or if it will also include songs released while they were with HOLIDAY. In any case, the album, entitled Anjyu' ベスト [Anjyu' BEST], will be released on 5/21, and will contain 12 songs for the price of 3,150 yen. (The product code is ANCD-001, for anyone who cares~)
② Along with the announcement of their best album, details for Anjyu''s (that looks weird) final live, comments from each of the members, and pictures of their new costumes have been posted at the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION OHP. Their last live will be a oneman event that will take place on 5/31. Those who attend that (and an Anjyu' event that will be held the day before) will receive some sort of memorial item. Details of their live, the members' comments, and images of their new costumes can be find at their official profile.
③ Remember the huge title that was chosen for Deshabillz' upcoming single? It's been changed. No worries, though; it's still insanely long. The new title is 傍観者/コノ罪ニツイテ・・・～実の生る木は花から知れると教えよう・・・汚れた皆さんお久し振りです,汚れた皆様はじめまして・・・～ [Boukansha / KONO Tume NI TSUITE・・・ ～Jitsu no Naru Ki wa Hana Kara Shireru to Oshieyou・・・ Yogoreta Minasan Ohisashiburi Desu, Kegareta Minasama Hajimemashite・・・～]. Exciting~
① Earlier this month, KISAKI announced that he would be composing the first revival single for Deshabillz (a "legendary" group that had disbanded in 1998). Well, Brand X just listed the single (which means you can now pre-order it), and it's apparently being published with UNDER CODE. Although I doubt this means Deshabillz is part of the label, it's still pretty cool. Since it's an UNDER CODE release, information is below.
② Brand X also posted information for a CD we didn't know about~ We can now add Siva to the list of UNDER CODE bands with a best album. Siva's best album is entitled COPY, and it will contain tracks that are (for the most part) from releases that have sold out. Some of the songs will be remastered, but no specific titles are mentioned. Details belowwww.

① As announced at their OHP, the UNDER CODE blog, and VkDB, Nega (ネガ) guitarist Hiroki (弘揮) has left the band. The band will be continuing activities, so there's no worry there. Nega () has posted new profile pictures at their OHP to reflect the lineup change.
tried to post this, but her account isn't working right now. So here's her post:
Just some quick Kisaki news since that's obviously my specialty, haha.
① It's confirmed that fuuin means kaisan. Phantasmagoria won't be coming back, it seems... the news comes from May's Holiday monthly schedule. I plan on translating the messages from each band member on the label to Kisaki in the near future.
② Furthermore, Kisaki is not quitting his position as president and producer of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. This news also comes from the Holiday monthly schedule.
Some good and some bad. Now to wait for July.
As an afterthought, since this is news, some of you may have noticed that updates have been coming few and far between on my Phantasmagoria fansite. I posted on there about this, and since I haven't said anything lately on here and the member count has climbed, I figure I could ask again...
If any of you want to help me with translations, I really REALLY need the help. I don't want it to sound bigheaded but I need someone as good as or better than me in Japanese because I really need help with translation sometimes! If you have knowledge of HISKAREA/Mar'derayla, etc, that would be really helpful, too.
ヴィドール (Vidoll) holds their last UNDER CODE concert today. 12012 has already moved on from the label, and Phantasmagoria officially paused activities on the 23rd. Although there are two upcoming releases to feature those bands, for all intents and purposes, they have graduated from UNDER CODE.
UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has entered a "new era," so to speak. Because of that, I decided it was finally time to give this community a MUCH needed overhall. I created a [very overdue] layout for the community, I made a new icon, and I updated the userinfo (though I plan to revise the userinfo later to make it better). I'm going to try to figure out some format for my news posts, and I'm going to start tagging entries. I ask that you active users try to do the same (I'm not going to make a big deal out of it--I'd just appreciate it).
In addition to that, I've moved the links from the user info to its own entry. Hopefully that will be easier to edit. If you want your UNDER CODE related site to be linked here, let me know! I'll try to hunt down as many sites by myself as I can, but I'm only one person!
Anyway, I hope you like/appreciate the new layout, and let's look foward to the future of the community and the label! Spamming now:
Well as we all know it's the graduation tommorrow! Rame mentions valentines day and something about it being his and Jui's mothers birthday. Either that or I translated wrong. But I wish the bands all the luck where ever they go^.^ They will be missed at UCP
Ok, I just had to delete the last post; it was already getting out of hand. Sorry about that. Here is a direct translation of KISAKI's situation. Please note that KISAKI has NOT been arrested, he has only been accused. And please, let's keep the comments fair. This post has potential to turn ugly, and I want to make sure it doesn't.
I guess this will be old news to most of you (since, oh my god, it's two days late), but here goes:
First of all, the last post I made wasn't completely correct. Phantasmagoriawill be pausing activities. Before they do, however, they'll be churning out three more releases:
First is Vain, a one track maxi single. A DVD with 6 live tracks (a la RENTRER EN SOI) will be included. It will be released on 02/14 for 3,150Y.
Next, on 02/21, is Black-Veil Before Christmas, a new live DVD. It will be about 150 minutes long, and is set to sell for 6,300Y (funny how it's longer, but still cheaper than 12012's upcoming DVD). As usual, you'll go crazy looking for rips, and then find them 18 months later on Batsu.
Last is 幻影像Ⅴ ~under the veil~ [GeneizouⅤ ~under the veil~], Phanta's fifth PV DVD. This one will contain the PVs and makings of Unknow zero distance and ・・・Lost in thought. It'll come out on 02/28, and will sell for 2,940Y.
Also: the covers of the upcoming releases from KISAKI PROJECT, hurts, and ネガ [Nega] have been added to UNDER CODE's new release page. I think they're all pretty cool myself.
Well, you can add two more CDs to the growing "UC shit to buy" list. Yeah, I know what you're thinking; "What?! Is 12012 releasing another 500 type single?!" No! These releases kind of took me off guard. Anyways:
JUN (Phantasmagoria) SOLO WORKS will release 「attic」 on March 7th. The CD will have three instrumental tracks, all done by JUN (obviously) and will sell for the standard 1,575. Yo.
Bloody-clown and 放課後倶楽部 [Houkago Kurabu] will release a coupling CD entitled Figure 4 Leg Rock on March 7th. Now, if you're like me, right about now you're thinking "What the fuck is a bloody 4 leg rock?" Well, if you've been stalking the HOLIDAY blogs you already know about it. Bloody-clown is a "special band" made up of 戮 [Riku] of Phantasmagoria and フライパン [Frypan] of Pumpkin Head. 放課後倶楽部 [Houkago Kurabu] is comprised of エイジ [Eiji] of Codomo A and 天野鳶丸 [Amano Tonbimaru] of Guruguru Eigakan. God this is taking a long time to write. Anyways, the CD will have four tracks, will be 2,310 Y and uh, God only knows what it'll sound like. Probably something like the screams of a baby as it's eaten by an alligator. Check it out.
Oh, and 12012 will release their 80th live DVD on February 21st. This one's called XII PARTY. This one 'll be about 100 minutes, and will cost 6,930. But hey, small price to pay to see Miyawaki sweat excessively. Why are you so angly?
Last but not least, as reported by Visual Shinbun (and 100 other places, because they're just that important), 纏 [Matoi] and 伊織 [Iori] are leaving Phantasmagoria. Sucks.
Ok, I've gotten way behind on the release news (these like, stealth releases keep getting announced, so there's A LOT). So, here's kind of a quick overview:

Other quick, important notes: 1 - 秘密結社コドモA's [Himitsu Kessha Codomo A] bassist will be quitting music, but the band will be continuing; 2 - Pashya's vocalist will be leaving the band, but they already have a replacement lined up, and the band will be continuing; 3 - ダリ [Dali] is still amazing. OK. There seems to be a flood of news lately, and I just can't keep up! (I know, I know, I'm horrible) Sorry!
Yay! I was checking KISAKI's journal today, and he's made another entry about Dari. Again, all I can do is Babelfish the hell out of it, but the important part of the entry seems to make complete sense. It may be completely wrong, but here's what I've been able to make out:
"Dari complete revival!? The complete revival of Dari has been announced. It will be held on 8/12 (Saturday) and 8/13 (Sunday) at Osaka HOLIDAY UMEDA. It will be a sponsored 2DAYS event, and everyone must come. I will announce more details soon. [...] By the way, the last live of 'H.N[maigo]' will be held on 7/28 at HOLIDAY UMEDA."
Assuming that this is correct, it means that Dari will finally drop the name H.N[maigo] and continue activities :D! For those of you that actually have some understanding of the Japanese language, and are super excited about correcting me, here's the original entry:
So uh, anyone up for a bit of translating? I was browsing KISAKI's blog, and found an entry titled 「ダリのメンバーとミーティング!?」 (Dari no MEMBER to MEETING!?) [Dari Member and Meeting!?]. Unfortunately, the title is all I can make out xD. It seems to have something to do with the reason for Shunsaku "leaving," and more information about their revival. But uh, I'm just using online translators, so who knows. Entry is under the cut for anyone who cares or wants to give it a try.
It was reported on the Undercode blog today that Dali will be pausing activities for a while. Here is the message:
Starting today, Dali will pause activities. It was decided lives are done according to schedule by H.N[maigo] name. *this line doesn't make a ton of sense, this is the best I can come up with.* Please wait for a complete revival.
hi... I don't want to cause alarm or anything... but I've been snooping around a j-rock forum and I heard Yukine and hide is leaving Vidoll? Is this true? o.O Are they disbanding? T_______T If this post isn't allowed, please feel free to delete it.. ^_^0!
Just thought I'd write this here since no one has noticed yet...there is a new band on UNDER CODE! Himitsu Kessha Kodomo A! Also, Mar'derayla and Hiskarea have officially been taken down ;.; How sad! Anyway, thought you'd enjoy that!
(Also, a few Phantasmagoria scans and the Vidoll section are up on http://moonlight-revival.com! The Vidoll section is still under construction, though, but the profiles are up ^^)
