SUI solo project "David" joins Chateau Agency

SUI solo project "David" joins Chateau Agency

Church-kei is SAVED...

At the beginning of the new year, KAMIJO, producer of the record label, Chateau Agency, and the singer of some well-known band, announced that there would be a new artist signing into the label. There was speculation surrounding the possible identity of the artist, until they were later revealed on January 24, 2017.

And that artist turned out to be none other than SUI (ex-Megaromania ~ LIN), who has started his own solo project, David! He will hold his first live on April 8 in Tokyo!! His official page on the label's website also reveals that there are worldwide plans in the making. (!!!) His new song "GENESIS" can be heard below:

As you may remember, SUI retired from band activities after Lin's untimely disbandment, as he had announced before that that would be his last band. However, his social media accounts (Twitter & Instagram (well, almost)) were deleted very suddenly at the start of 2017. This last cryptic tweet from Sui's old account especially didn't help with cooling off the rumors:

This further fueled speculation that he was definitely up to something, and after all, the reveal date was on the 24th - which is his birthday.

I'm glad to see Sui back and I truly hope he has better luck with this project!! ✨✨

If you're wondering, "What is Sui doing with Kamijo?!", "Why does he look like Kamijo Jr.?", then here's some history for ya: back in the day, Sui was first managed by Kamijo back at his old label, Sherow Artist Society. At that time, Sui was in a little-known band called Metis Gretel. The popular kotekei band was in the label from around 2005/2006 up until their disbandment in 2008. Since then, Sui and Kamijo have had a close relationship, so it's not surprising that Sui has popped up in this label also.

"David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ; ISO 259-3 Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David) was, according to the Hebrew Bible, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah, reigning in c. 1010–970 BCE. Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, a poet, and musician credited for composing many of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is viewed in biblical sources as a righteous and effective king both in battle and in providing civil and criminal justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22. The Hebrew prophets regarded him as the ancestor of the future messiah. According to the New Testament, he was an ancestor of Jesus." Well, church kei is saved indeed lol Excited for this!

Maybe he'll be like Amaseffer and make songs for each book in the Torah (Genesis is already off to a good start with that theory)

Thanks for the nice writeup! I hope he'll be prolific in releases❤ Just wanna add the note that the name is apparently pronounced Davidé/ダヴィデ. Any clue why he chose that name?
