Kachikan no Chigai ha Yuiitsu no Sukuidatta (価値観の違いは唯一の救いだった) will be released on June 7th for 1,980 yen. The band is billing the release as a “maxi-single + music collection,” but it's essentially a best album with a new song attached. That being said, the release costs only 1,980 yen and includes 14 rerecorded(!) songs, plus the new song. Definitely a good deal, especially considering the great tracklist.
(Is this some sort of scheme to get to the top of the ORICON indies single chart?)
By the way, the product number of the release is GMCD-037A, so I'm betting they already have a “more maxi-single-esque” version planned, if the first one sells really well 😎
ARLEQUIN will hold a “premium” Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka one tour, also entitled Kachikan no Chigai ha Yuiitsu no Sukuidatta (価値観の違いは唯一の救いだった), on 2017-06-14, 06-16, and 07-09 at HOLIDAY NEXT NAGOYA, HOLIDAY OSAKA, and HOLIDAY SHINJUKU, respectively. Pre-ordered tickets will be sold for the special price of 1,980 yen, just like the maxi-single.
Their fourth anniversary oneman tour, Dekoboko (凸凹), will begin with a kaleidoscope-limited live on 2017-09-02 at Shinjuku (新宿) BLAZE, and end on 2018-01-13 at Osaka (大阪) BIG CAT. Their November 5th oneman at Aoyama (青山) RiZM will be male-limited.
By the way. ARLEQUIN's official blog is now at LINE.
That was announced by SUI at David's first official live on the 8th at Tokyo (東京) KINEMA Club (キネマ倶楽部). All other details are TBA, but my guess is it will feature the three songs that they played at the live: GENESIS, MAGE, and BLOOD.
Btw, once again the support members were erina, HI-NA, Jin, and Sho. I wonder if they'll participate in the recording of the single as well 🤔
Also, these are the goods that David is selling: muffler towel (2,500 yen), poster (1,000 yen), and photoset (1,000 yen).
Who doesn't want a poster in their room of SUI doing that pose?
Someone on Monochrome Heaven asked for some information about Soleil, so I thought I'd type something up! Since it became a little long, I decided to post it here. Hope it's helpful!
In the early '90s, the “visual kei scene” was only just starting to coalesce, but Nagoya-based bands were already differentiating themselves enough to be lumped together as a sub-scene called “Nagoya kei.” The two biggest in that scene were KUROYUME (who you already know) and
By 1994, both bands had become popular nationwide--but while KUROYUME capitalized on that momentum and went major, Silver~Rose disbanded.
ex-Silver~Rose leader KAIKI immediately joined fellow Nagoya band
In a surprise to fans, KAIKI seceded from the band just before their major debut. Soon after, noir closed its doors.
Later in '96, KAIKI joined former-noir band
➡️ Side note: I know Wikipedia says otherwise, but Soleil wasn't a sublabel of Free-Will. Beginning in the later '90s, Free-Will acted as a for-hire marketer/distributor for several labels, but those were partnerships rather than parent-child relationships, if that makes sense. Same thing goes for Matina and UNDER CODE PRODUCTION.
Some time in 1997, Soleil moved its headquarters from Nagoya to Toyota, Aichi. The label become less “Nagoya kei”-ish, with bands like
➡️ Side note: The only sublabel that really amounted to anything was Osaka-based Soleil Matina, which was founded by
Unfortunately, Soleil was also known for what some lovingly call “Soleil quality.” This refers to extremely cheaply-made releases sold for full price; releases that were delayed over and over and over; flyers that were photocopies of photocopies, densely packed with barely-legible information for several bands; freely distributed items released guerrilla-style with no prior notice or future mention; and so on.
After 2000, Soleil and its bands seem to have run out of steam. Maybe it was due to that “Soleil quality,” or maybe it was the loss of Soleil Matina as a sublabel, or maybe it was just the decline of visual kei's popularity in general... Whatever the reason, Soleil closed its doors in 2002.
A few ex-Soleil bands followed KAIKI to a new label, inner dream group, but it seems to have had the same management issues, and dissolved later in the year. All three bands (
KAIKI's final foray into management was a label called beast beat, which formed in 2008(?), and whose most “famous” band would be JACK+MW or MILKY EMILY.
To sum it up, KAIKI is essentially the Nagoya version of KISAKI. Both fucked up their chances to go major twice, and both had unique, mega popular indie labels, but mismanaged them into the ground. But both also have a charismatic fighting indie spirit that makes visual kei so endearing--at least in my opinion.
If you'd like to get more familiar with Soleil, please check the artist page and read up on any of the bands in the Soleil section. Information about the label and its bands is often really hard to find, so I promise that you'll find some stuff that's not written anywhere else. As for music, I'd suggest the aforementioned
✨ And if you have any well-sourced corrections or additional information about any of the above-mentioned topics, please send it my way! 💕 (Much of jp Wikipedia's information is incorrect, but sources like first-hand-accounts, flyers, release scans or magazine articles are all helpful.)

The band has just concluded their twoman with The Gallo, and are scheduled to hold their 1st anniversary oneman events, "OSAKA Night VARON" (at Shinsaibashi VARON) and "TOKYO EDGE Night" (at EDGE IKEBUKURO), on April 15 and 22 respectively.
Here's a bunch of news that I've neglected to post:
Some time ago,
On February 27th, Shiki failed to appear at a rehearsal for the next day's live, and suddenly stopped replying to the other members' messages. After consulting Shiki's family, the band decided to say that he would be missing the February 28th live performance due to influenza.
On March 2nd, the band received word via Shiki's family that he would not appear at any of the band's other lives. Shiki is considered to have seceded as of that day.
Guitarist YUKKIE (ユッキー) acted as vocalist for the band's remaining lives.

Former Soleil band Vasalla (覇叉羅) will hold a one-day revival on May 27th!
Their live, Haou Gaisen ~Ezo Juurinhen~ (覇王凱旋~蝦夷蹂躙編~), will be held as part of sapporo mixed up night 2017 at Sapporo (札幌) Crazy Monkey.
Attendees who mention that they've come to see Vasalla will receive a DVD with unspecified live footage.
It's unclear if this is a one-day revival or something more permanent.

TAKE NO BREAK
The band will hold their first live, Demonstration~Rei~ (Demonstration~零~), on 2017-07-11 at Sendai (仙台) MACANA, and their second, Demonstration~Ichi~ (Demonstration~壱~), on 2017-07-14 at Shimokitazawa (下北沢) GARDEN.
They'll release a live-limited version of their first maxi-single (for which Tomo has participated in the composition of 2 songs) at the lives, with a mail-order-limited version released sometime later in the month.
TAKE NO BREAK seems to be signed to a new label called Forty-Three,inc. Their first look is a collaboration with
ugly fashion brand BACKBONE.
By the way, Tomo wanted to make sure everyone knows: it's not “Tomo (ex-12012)”!
