I was just contacted by PayPal and told that this community's raffle violated their TOS, and my account could be closed because of it. So to prevent that from happening, I've removed mention of them from the original post and temporarily suspended the raffle.
I'd like to continue the raffle somehow, but it's clear that I can't just sell tickets via PayPal. So if the raffle is continued, it will be in some other form. I haven't been able to catch rave_andou yet, but I suppose she and I will come to a decision soon.
If we do continue the raffle, all current entrants will still be in the drawing. If we cancel the raffle, everyone will be given a full refund, so please don't worry about that. And if you wish to receive a refund now, regardless of future plans, just contact me and I can do that for you.
-- It makes sense that PayPal would be against raffles, but I didn't think about it before hand (and, honestly, how the fuck did they find out?!). So my bad guys, but man I'm disappointed.

It's completely alright, I didn't do much. I though the effort you'd have had to pay to refund all the money is worth more than my pathetic $3. So I saved time, patience and somewhat a part of our beloved community. :'D To let you know I would have let you keep the money even if you didn't have the intention to send me any special gift for it.
I would have donated more if you hadn't succeed at collecting all the money before I even saw the donating post. :'D I have been away from the computer for nearly 20 hours and during that time you put up the donation button and collected all the money. I still hope my poor money did some good.
At least I was happily surprised by just how fast people were eager to just donate money without any official prizes or so. It just tells how much everyone must love this community, including myself. I think this is the best community in the whole world and I'm sure there isn't better maintainer than you for a community. You have seen so much effort for creating this a nice place to talk about everything UNDER CODE related that I think you should get somekind of a reward out of it. If there's anything I can do more I'm pleased to help.

Yeah, I agree, it seems like a really big deal, especially concerning such a small operation (like 9 people total...).
I considered an idea like that, but I don't want to take that risk at this point (especially since it's my personal account). If we ever do a raffle again, it will work something like that, though.
Thank you so so much for being so kind and generous. You have no idea how happy it made me to see that after a bad day. I will put your $3 toward the donation drive we're holding now, and I'll send you a little something in the mail as a token of my appreciation.

This is really sad. I thought it was a great idea and wasn't ruining paypal's image at all. Would it be awful if we cheated them a little? Like sending the raffle money with other name like "cookies" or something, through paypal? : D Would they notice anyway?
I don't want to withdraw my entrance, though. Even if the raffle wasn't continued as far as I'm concerned you can keep my 3 dollars anyway, to maintain the community. That's not much after all.

Yeah, exactly. Total, like $24 went through my account or something, so it clearly wasn't an influx of money that tipped them off. So I dunno. If it really was someone tipping them off, that really sucks, and it puts me in a position of being unable to do stuff like this in the future. kjsdlgk
