As you know, chariots started out as a band, but became RIKU's solo project after “disbanding.” As a solo project, chariots has been only intermittently active—and according to RIKU's blog, as of the end of this year, chariots will end forever. Before ending, chariots will hold one last tour, subculture Final-edition.

Personally, I will be happy with any RIKU project as long as RIKU himself is happy with it.

I like chariots, as well as Lin...But based off of what a friend whose been to their shows have told me, they're just...doing bad over there...That there are a lot of people who leave the shows and that it is very easy to get to the front because of it. It makes Riku upset too...
Don't get me wrong, I love chariots, as well as Lin. Its sad to see them go...But something tells me that this won't be the end of a "Riku solo project."
I feel like there is going to be something that will be a chariots Mark II if you will.
Kisaki puts a lot of faith into Riku's abilities. If he didn't Riku wouldn't likely be the vocalist of Lin, and definitely wouldn't be the only person on his label aside from himself to have a solo project.
At least that's what I think.

I'm also one of those who liked Chariots. And if you think about it, it's possible that if it wasn't for Chariots, we may not have Reiya and Kanata in Lin now.
However, I do think this is a good idea. I felt that as a solo project Riku wasn't really getting anywhere with this, I think he was holding onto something that has lost what it once had.
Look at Lin, they are much more successful now, and I'm glad for it. Once Lin gets back on it's feet after Kisaki's Solo Project then Riku can fully focus on the band rather than also thinking of Chariots.
But as hyura said above, I will miss Chariots too (in fact I was sad they ended initially before Riku continued as solo project) because they were quite different to most other bands out there (imo).

This is somehow a very sad end for a band that started with such a blast and was promoted so eagerly by under code. I liked chariots not as much as I liked Hiskarea because they lacked something I couldn't describe. But I agree, this band felt like an expression of rikus true self. And this lack in something is also a part of it. Because Riku is somehow a tragic Person and he went through some really hard times while being in this band that Misery is all over their music. They could have as much happy furi as they wanted, it just never worked.
So... This project just burning out somehow after their flop feels like a reflection of riku again.
I hope he can have a new project that doesn't have this tragic feeling and do whatever he actually aimed at now. However, I will miss chariots music, because it's imperfect and weird yet totally unique and somehow Touching.

Am I the only one who cares that chariots is going to be gone forever? I LOVE chariots, so much more than LIN, and some days, more than Mago. In chariots Riku seemed to have more artistic freedom, I believe those songs were an expression of his true inner self, not being overshadowed by anyone else, he was his own person, not Kisaki's vocalist and I will mourn the loss of this band, and mourn the loss of Riku's solo project. I wanted to hear more from him as a stand alone artist, not under the shadow of someone else, and not singing someone else's lyrics.
I am mourning the loss of this band not just because I love it, but because Riku seemed to love it very much, too. It seems to mean a lot to him, enough for him to get that tattoo, enough for him to repeatedly say in his blog that he loved it, to mention it more than he mentions lin and to keep the memory of it alive.
I hope that he will be able to continue it, someday, when he is not so swamped with a million things to do for lin, or that he will at the very least be able to branch out as his own independent artist once again.

I never liked chariots either—not as a band and not as a solo project. But on the other hand, I know some people legitimately did, so I feel for those people.
In my eyes, the most embarrassing part about the whole ordeal is that he has the first chariots logo tattooed on him. A constant reminded of the floppage of what I'm sure he assumed would be his greatest achievement.

@uglyvkfanxxx69: I just got that image of Riku sobbing while bringing his dead cat to Kisaki, who then gets it stuffed for him only to watch him get like a wtf look on his face. XD Anyhoo---so does this mean the members are getting back together for this or is he going to have a support band? I bit sad to hear but hopefully Lin will keep him busy once they get off hiatus

For me, this is good. I never liked Chariots, mostly because of the "They're not Mago" shock, plus their music always came off as lack-luster to me. Their, well his, demise isn't what's good about it (although I'm not complaining about no more Chariots): I'd much rather Riku have a solo project that actually did stuff beyond one awkward single and that wasn't the left-overs of a band that didn't quite make it. I think it's bad enough when solo projects flop, but it's even worse when the solo project has the same name as the band you were in before everyone quit on you. It's like your cat dying and then you get it taxidermy-ed : I guess it's kind of like having your cat back, but it's awkward and just not cutting it...and a bit disturbing.
