KISAKI announced some big news on his blog today. First, it seems that UNDER CODE is to have a new sub-label: HAUNTED HOUSE RECORDS. The label's first release will be a best album for the band FLESH FOR FLANKENSTEIN. I honestly don't know much about them; they're somewhat old, and the project of former ALUCARD vocalist 伊集院 明朗 (Ishuuin Meirou? Corrections welcome). They seem to be kind of a big deal though; KIYOHARU is to be the guest vocalist on some songs on the best album, and the cover of it was done by Rockin'JellyBean (who have done work for ROLLING STONES and other big names). Those who buy the album from the UNDER CODE NET SHOP will receive a special CD. The band's website for now is here. I'm not sure if they're to be something permanent like VAGERKE or if they're going to be like Deshabillz.

② The other big news is that UNDER CODE will be releasing two new items from Kneuklid Romance and supporting their one day revival. (Kneuklid Romance was part of an older generation of visual kei bands who went major.) The first release will be a brand new single in two types, one of which contains a new PV. The other release is a four disc, remastered best album box set (disc 1 and 2 are best albums, disc 3 features remastered versions of the songs from their first demotape, which was limited to 10 copies, and disc 4 features a tribute track). All releases will come with an application for a special history DVD, which can be reserved until 2009-08-31. The revival live, Phantom ~phantom of the 10th year~, will be on 2009-06-27 at Tokyo KINEMA Club. The band's official site, http://www.kneuklid-romance.com/, will fully open on the 23rd.

These releases seem to be of a really high quality, and they all come with bonuses of some sort, so you should check them out (especially if you are actually interested in these bands)! It's pretty awesome that KISAKI is supporting these older bands lately.

Ah, thank you! I wondered about the member lineup too. I guess it may be similar to Deshabillz (again) in that the main member is participating in a limited revival.

UNDER CODE doesn't really have a habit of this, per se... UNDER CODE has always made it a point to support various VK bands (for example, Karma-Shenjing, Se'ikspia, and GRIEVER have all been supported by UNDER CODE without actually being a part of the label), but this supporting of old bands is kind of a new thing. I think it's mostly due to the fact that KISAKI has sooo many connections in the scene over there that certain artists realize that they can turn to him to help put a new CD or two.

FLESH FOR FLANKENSTEIN is probably even weirder than Deshabillz or Kneuklid Romance, since they seem to be less connected to the VK scene, but this may be more of a case of KISAKI being a personal fan of the vocalist and wanting to help out because of that.

(Sorry if none of that made sense, I'm running on very little sleep right now)
